Willow Lodge Reviews

Amazing place with everting on your doorstep. The bus stop is close by so you dont even have to drive if you dont want to. A little hidden gem.
Loved it! Perfect lodge for a girls weekend, everything you need and awesome hosts. We will definitely be back. Thank you.
Really loved my stay at willow Lodge, and the host was brilliant, very helpful and great hospitality.
We had an absolutely wonderful time, the lodge was beautiful, clean and homely. Hot tub was amazing. Anne was extremely helpful, her messages to check we were OK were so lovely, also on arrival, the lovely cream tea and pint of milk was such a welcoming touch.
Lovely lodge and as it says quiet and secluded. Hot tub was great. Cream tea worth the wait and thoroughly enjoyed.
We had a lovely family stay last week at Willow Lodge. Its a real home from home with everything you might need and is very comfortable. The hot tub was wonderful and the whole place very peaceful. Highly recommended!
Lovely clean lodge and we'll looked after hot tub. Owner kept in touch if we need anything
Lovely quiet place , very private and perfect location for the short drive to Lizard point and Landsend . Stayed for two night and just booked 3 nights in August . Would definitely recommend, however a car is a must. Hot tub could do with updating , still enjoyable Can't wait to return
Firstly and most important, there really is nothing negative to say about Willow Lodge. For my partner and I, this was one of our best lodge holidays! The accommodation was perfectly clean throughout, fully equipped with all facilities. A welcome cream tea awaited in the fridge, plus tea, coffee and milk to get one settled in. The lodge is in a very quiet location, not overlooked and extremely private. Lounging in the hot tub, day or evening is a delight with an abundance of visiting wildlife to observe. Ideally located for local woodland walks or using as a base for walking the Coastal Path a few minutes drive away. In summary, a special place, one where we are already planning to return.

Perfect everything we needed and more

Great weather nice and quiet hot tub clean and hot! Would recommend it to everyone.
Well maintained hot tub. Cream tea very welcome on arrival. Friendly owners
Catherine
Peaceful, quiet and very relaxing stay at Willow lodge. Area is good for picturesque villages and wonderful walls. Lodge had everything we needed the hot tub in the evenings watching the sun go down was perfect. Thanks for the welcome cream tea that was a treat!
We had the most amazing time and couldn't fault the cottage, clean, well presented and everything we need with delightful special touches. Only 2 things I would feedback on are 1 WIFI wasn't good we couldn't get on at all Saturday and Sunday 2 Lighting outside near hottub could be better as it was a little dark Other than that it was amazing and will be booking again
Stephanie
We loved our stay here and were very sad to leave! Such a good location and so lovely inside, the hot tub is such a good feature too!
Zenith
We had a fantastic stay, facilities were as described. Would highly recommend!
Excellent stay in a beautiful location. Thank you so much for having us!
Great comfortable stay for the family. The shower pressure was the only thing that let the experience down. Everything you could need for your stay is provided. We were had some delicious scones cream and jam waiting for us when we arrived which was a lovely surprise. Would recommend.
We spent an absolutely amazing two weeks at Willow Lodge, nestled on the edge of a small wood it's picturesque, secluded and beautiful. On arrival we found a delicious cream tea waiting for us and some milk in the fridge, the lodge was very clean and well equipt with everything we needed, including dish washer tablets and hand soap. Not having to take towels was an added bonus too, the car was already chocker block! The lodge is a perfect base and is 3060 minutes away from pretty much anywhere you want to go. The only thing I would say the lodge could do with is some hooks to keep the doors open as they kept blowing shut when it was windy, and some bath robes for when you get out of the hot tub would be brilliant. The hot tub itself could do with upgrading as a few of the jets didn't work but it was still a very welcome addition and was used on all but 2 of our 14 days, the kids loved it and after a final dip on the morning we left we forgot to take the swimming things out of the washing machine after spinning them, Anne was kind enough to return them to us along with a light control my son had left behind. Anne is an extremely friendly host and always on hand to help with any problems, our toaster was only toasting on one side which we said wasn't a problem as the other side side worked fine, but it was still replaced very promptly. She also checked in a few times to make sure everything was ok and was very helpful with some local questions we had. One tip, if using sat nav during your stay, don't have it set to quickest route, we only found this out in the second week after realising the A30 and A39 will lead you pretty much everywhere, sat nav will take you down all the narrow, winding and frankly scary at times roads because it thinks it's the quickest way but because you can't get over 1020mph it can double your travelling time. Overall we would highly recommend this lodge and have already started saving to go back.
We had a wonderful week at Willow lodge. The lodge has been upgraded with new carpets and sofas which has improved the overall look of the lodge and was a pleasant surprise on arrival photos online should be updated to show this. We stayed with three teenagers and they loved the hot tub which was used everyday and was very much the highlight of the lodge. We chose the lodge due to having a hot tub but also the location which was so peaceful and not overlooked at all. It was a great base in which to explore Cornwall. The lodge is spacious and the bedrooms had ample space for everyone staying plus lots of space for clothes storage. The beds were comfortable and the shower was more than adequate. A problem with the shower was dealt with promptly by the owners. Overall everyone in our group had a wonderful stay and we would recommend staying here. It would be lovely if there were some garden games stored in the outside cupboard as there is a good sized lawn in which to enjoy them, badminton sets or swing ball etc. Lastly, the personal touches of delicious scones, jam and cream on arrival were a welcome treat and loo rolls, washing up liquid and tea towels also welcome as an additional extra that most properties do not include.

Lovely property Lovely location had everything needed and more would recommend
Nikhil
The property overall was okay. not as big as the pictures but the facilities were really poor. The mattresses were really bad, the water pressure in the shower was bad and the hot tub stunk of chlorine. The doors were creaky and didn't shut well. Apart from the location, we didn't enjoy it much. Not worth recommending, especially for the price we paid.
Fantastic place fantastic people
Andrew
I was looking for a quiet few day's rest and relaxation, before a hectic week. This property was perfect for that. Large clean cabin with all the amenities you need and more. The hot tub was great . I certainly would like to return sometime in the future . Thank you
Kirsty
We had an absolutely wonderful stay. Over the moon with how lovely the lodge was. All of the added touches made arrival very memorable, such as cream tea and milk in the fridge The lodge was very well equipped and the hot tub was such a treat. Willow Lodge was spacious and private. The only comment I have to make for improvement is regarding the mattresses. Just a little too thin. However, I would most definitely return.
Matthew
Water pressure in the shower was very low, but otherwise can't fault it
Very clean. The scones and tea were a lovely welcome. Well situated property to spot wildlife and relax.
Willow Lodge is in a lovely quiet location and more private than Oak Lodge just behind. Hot tub lovely and hot and amazing to sit under the stars at night. Lodge well equipped. I personally found a single bed too firm for me but that's down to personal taste. There's a nice walk from opposite the nearby Potager Gardens down to the river at Helford Passage and Port Navas.
Lovely place to relax and good for day trips
Elizabeth
The property was lovely clean, cozy and quiet. We didn't want for anything and the hot tub was the main attraction for us. We loved the cream tea provided by Anne it was truly delicious! The only downside which by no means diminishes from the overall enjoyment of our stay was the shower. It was very small with no shelf to hold any toiletries when in use. The shower itself was not powerful enough, but gave beautifully hot water. Lastly, there was black mold in the cubicle that should have been treated very easy to remedy which is why this was a minor issue. Overall, we had a brilliant time and a very restful stay. Thank you Anne.
Such a beautiful property!
Hannah
Lovely lodge, location was fantastic. Hottub was brilliant. We went for my mums 50th and it was perfect and a great price. Going to make in an annual trip and go again next year! Would recommend to anyone!
Another wonderful stay! ! Lovely place to relax in the peace and quiet but also great to use as a base if you wish to visit the beautiful places that surround the area. 2nd time we've been and will be back again.
Jacqueline
Fabulous week at Willow Lodge. Lovely treat on arrival. Scones,Jam & cream. Ann kept in touch during our stay. Lodge very clean, all amenities in kitchen available. Hottub used frequently, great fun & relaxing. Only negative not with the Lodge. Is the pub, its a good walk up a steep hill and not safe to walk back at night. Even with torches. Great time spent at Willow Lodge.
The lodge was fantastic, peaceful set in woodland with the added bonus of a hot tub.
Just back from a great week's staying at Willow Lodge. What a lovely surprise on arrival of an afternoon tea, just what we needed after a 7 hour drive. The Lodge was spacious and very clean. Beds were super comfy and within the Lodge there was enough kitchen utensils for us to make meals. Was tricky finding places to eat out, due to covid and many food outlets being pinged and under staffed Hot tub was a great way to relax after a busy day exploring Cornwall. The Lodge is down some very tiny lanes, so some careful driving is needed. It's so quiet and was lovely to be able to sit and listen to the animals which were in the woods next to the Lodge. We had a great stay and if we decide to holiday again in Cornwall will definitely book again. Thanks Anne for such a great stay.
Tracey
Lovely place so quiet yet only 10mins from Falmouth. Very helpful hosts. 2nd visits would come again.
We had a wonderful 7 night stay at Willow Lodge. Tucked away in a peaceful location, feeling like we were in our own forest. Nothing beats a refreshing gin in the hot tub under the stars, after a day at the beach and especially when a beautiful barn owl does a flyby! Only thing missing were a couple of dressing gowns for hopping in and out of the tub. Fresh eggs fro the farm were delicious, as was the surprise cream tea on arrival! Highly recommended, we will definitely return.
Malaki
Everything about this holiday was perfect!
Tabitha
We stayed at Willow Lodge for 7 nights and would have stayed longer! ! The lodge was perfect, with everything you could need and clean to a high standard. Hot tub water was changed between guests and we had fantastic contact from the owner via text. Great location within a few minutes to an hour of plenty of activities, towns and coastal walksbeaches. We will definitely be booking again!! Tabitha.
