The Orchard Reviews

This was our second visit and all in all a great stay, the location is to die for and accommodation lends to a large group. The overall standards of cleanliness had dropped this year, i do think if there was a decent vacuum cleaner we could have addressed this. Lots of pet hair on carpets, we found three contact lenses on the bedroom floor, there was hair on the kettle and bread bin wasnt clean. The Teflon pans Forever Chemicals were badly scratched and burned. The orangery lantern roof was covered in cobwebs. And on our last day when stripping the beds we found blood staining on the mattress protector. We do love the place and if available would book again without hesitation but these things just need tickling up.
Brilliant stay at a lovely property.
We had a wonderful stay in beautiful crantock. The house is in a perfect location with two lovely pubs. The beach is unbeatable for children. Only a short drive from Newquay. The house was modern inside with a lovely kitchen living area and the bedrooms were very comfortable with comfy beds and clean linen. The only negative we have is that the hot tub didnt look very clean when we arrived i think the water needs to be emptied in between visitors to maintain the highest standard of cleanliness. By the fourth day of the holiday we couldnt go in the hottub as it had gone really murky. Also the patio area could have done with a spruce up, grass growing between the paving. But that is being very picky. Holiday in Crantock and stay in this house, you will have a brilliant time.

Lovely house large, light and airy, with a really wellequipped kitchen. And couldn't be more handy for the village shop!
The property was superb. Location perfect. Furnished and equipped to the highest standard it had everything we needed plus some items we didnt know we needed but are now essential the hot tub for one! Ample parking , lovely garden, beautiful rooms it was an amazing week. Thank you !
Fabulous holiday home, everything was so comfortable and roomy. If you have a person who is older or with mobility needs the downstairs bedroom with own ensuite was perfect as it was for our Mum. The garden is huge and the pictures cant do it justice and secure. The local pubs and beach within a short walk make this place gold standard. Thanks to Pauline and Nicola for good communication too. See you next year.

Yet another stay in this amazing property. Cant wait to go back!

It did exactly what it said on the tin. Excellent location and accommodation. The ability to walk to Crantock beach and avoid the daily queues for parking was a real bonus. Expensive but worth every penny. Pauline, the property manager, was unfailingly helpful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, its a beautiful villa in a lovely village. Would have appreciate a mirror in the downstairs bedroom, other than that everything was fine, and the scones were a lovely welcome. Thanks again. Vida .x
Great house and fantastic location, couldnt have asked for more.
Fantastic family house . Everything you could want beautiful secluded garden with terrace overlooking the property, the hot tub just adds to the experience. Crantock as lovely as ever
Sandra

Lesley
Beautiful accommodation with fantastic facilities. Everything we needed for a family break.
Sandra
Beautiful house in a really good position with an easy walk to Crantock beach. Dog friendly, soft sand, great surf and paddleboarding hire. Pauline who manages the property so kind and helpful cream tea on arrival. Even arranged for gluten free scones from Treago farm shop. We look forward to going back

Proposed review please feel free to change or add to it. Just had a family gathering at this amazing property! We cannot recommend it highly enough. It is well equipped, spotlessly clean and very well decorated. All the fixtures and fittings are top quality and we couldnt fault it. It is conveniently placed in the village, opposite a very well stocked shop and a five minute walk to the pub which serves excellent food. This comfy house was a saviour for us as our weather was pretty awful!
Lovely holiday house, fantastic garden and lovely setting. Only 5 minutes walk to the most beautiful beach, a couple of minutes walk to the local pubs and a little cafe that sells local ice cream and homemade pizzas in an evening. The management company for the property were fantastic and quickly responded to all questions.
Great house. Great location.
Well equipped spacious house, everything you need for a family holiday, down stairs bedroom was handy for older family member. Lovely garden and hot tub added to the relaxing environment. Location is very well placed in the village, but so near to the beach and coastal path.
The property was lovely, however it is a shame that dogs have clearly been allowed upstairs, as initially you could smell dog on the carpets. Also dogs had been allowed on the furniture as after sitting on the furniture dog hairs would be attached to your clothes. The property is lovely and quite high end in terms of spec so this was disappointing.
This modern yet characterful house is excellently equipt with everything you need for a relaxing getaway. It is in a wonderful location within 10 minutes of the beach and many walks. The village shop and pub are just across the road. We were made really welcome by the property manager along with all the ingredients for a super cream tea! We will definately make a return visit! Thank you.
Daniel
The house was perfect, super clean and full of luxury. Fully equipped with everything you could ever need. Only wish we could have stayed longer!
Lovely spacious well equipped house in a pretty village, ten minutes walk from a beautiful beach. Perfect for a family holiday.
