About The Beehive

Head out to discover the beautiful Black Mountains or potter in charming Welsh market towns when you stay at this enticing shepherd’s hut near Bronllys in Mid Wales. Sleeping just two guests, the sumptuous retreat comes with a private hot tub and a fire pit to bask beside on starry nights.

Tucked away with two other charming huts in the fringes of Bannau Brycheiniog or the Brecon Beacons, it is 8 miles from colourful Brecon and 7.5 miles from Hay-on-Wye. Make your way up four steps to enter the charming hut, which nestles comfortably in its verdant surroundings.

Wander inside to discover accommodation that has been carefully designed to provide everything you will need throughout your stay. The main space is an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner/bedroom with pretty panelling, a barrel ceiling and a wooden floor.

Lay a fire in the wood burner, then relax together in its glorious heat. Prepare the local produce you have bought, then sit down to dine together inside or out.

Sink back into the luxurious king-size bed to watch the Smart TV or indulge in a perfect night’s sleep. Wake up to a refreshing shower in your modern shower room.

Return from your many excursions to relax in the hot tub, cook out on the BBQ, and enjoy the warmth of the fire pit. There is off-road parking here for two cars.

Amble 0.5 miles into the village of Bronllys to shop or dine out. The remains of charming Castell Bronllys are just 150 metres from the hut.

Plan trips into Brecon to meander in the galleries, boutiques and independent shops and peruse the market stalls. Take a gentle cruise along the Brecon and Monmouthshire Canal from here too.
