Ardsley Cottage - Longford Hall Farm Holiday Cottages Reviews

Upon arrival the property was clean, fresh sheets and towels on all beds, and fully furnished set out ready for a lovely stay. The beds were comfy, shower and bath worked well and the hot tub was delightful. What made our stay was the great communication and friendly nature of the host. They were responsive to any queries and very informative. I would have no hesitation in returning and staying here again.

Great spot for NYE getaway

We had a lovely stay at Ardsley Cottage and was wowed at it's beautiful location and facilities. The wrap around gardens were beautiful and well kept and were well used along with the great hot tub! Great space in and out to accommodate the 6 of us. Nicely decorated and furnished . Great response from owners when we had a problem that was quickly resolved. I loved that the vacuum cleaner was accessible so we could keep on top of things with pegs, dishwasher tabletsliquid soap also provided. Great area to explore, Dovedale, Alton towers, Tissington bike trail and Matlock bath and a local Maize Maze too were enjoyed by both young and old! Thanks for a lovely stay.

The property was just as in the photos, our holiday was amazing and none of us wanted to leave. The only things I would point out are minor, it would have been good to have extra plates or serving plates, with 6 adults there were no spares. Places to hang towels to dry from hot tub use would have been easier. Again with 6 adults the airer wasn't really enough. With regard to the hot tub, a couple of chairs for people not in the tub would have been more comfortable than the grass

Very good location house was very well maintained hot tube great and maintained each day . Would recommend it to anybody the. cost of a weeks stay was very resonable

Perfect little getaway! Beautiful location, clean home and great facilities. We booked this place as a last resort due to being let down with the previous property, but we were not disappointed with the outcome. Ardsley Cottage turned out to be a much better option. The kitchen has all the things you would need a few more cleaning supplies would be handy, with a dining room attached where you can sit round a lovely big table to enjoy a meal together. Moving into the spacious living room, you find big comfy sofas to sit and relax in, along with a smart TV. Upstairs there were 3 bedrooms set up with bath and hand towels for each guest and 3 laundry bags to pack away bedding at check out. The large bathroom was great for showers or baths bathroom lock wasn't working. Finally leaving the best till last ... the GARDEN. Incredible scenery surrounding the house with the added bonus of the hot tub with British weather, it could do with a gazebo of sorts to provide shelter from strong winds or rain. Highly recommend this property!!
Debbie
Was a lovely surprise to receive a card and cake from the owners for my husbands birthday.
Nathan
Cosy cottage with great views, lovely neighbours, and great facilities. Ideal for a quiet week away from work!
Such a lovely place to stay. Clean and welcoming. The hot tub was so nice to use after a day of walking. Would definitely recommend staying here
Caroline

Jeremy
Lovely cottage for a family holiday good quiet location with easy access to local pub less than a mile, shops between 57 miles and Alton Towers 30 minute drive. Top tip Sainsburys deliver to the cottage we checked in at 6pm and our shopping was there an hour later. Great communication from the hosts very responsive and gave good advicetips. Milk and fresh eggs left in the fridge. Very clean and tidy with a lot of reassurance around COVID19 AA certificate Some lovely local walks around the villages.
Rebecca
Lovely big house. Lovely scenery and hot tub bonus Hosts for hospitable and kind Check out was a little too early Id say and check out too late felt like a rush. But I think this was due to covid
A beautiful clean spacious cottage in a perfect location, fabulous hot tub , a great way to relax under the stars.
Tracey
Good communication with the host, who was very friendly and helpful. Baked a cake for us Cottage was Fabulous, very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Hot tub was a great addition. A lovely mini break, would definitely spend a week here. The Horse shoes pub well worth a visit, gorgeous food, friendly staff.
Beautiful base away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough for all your needs. We used it as a base for Alton Towers and Drayton Manor. Breathtaking sunset views and wonderful host.
This was a nice place to stay. Quiet, clean, comfortable and pleasant.
Beautiful quiet lo action but good local pubs for eating out. Lovely welcome from the cottage owners. The house could have done with an extra bathshower but otherwise comfortable and spacious.
Benjamin

A very comfortable cottage with all the comforts of home, although off the beaten track within easy reach of the peak district and lots of other amenities.
