If you want clean, modern and antiseptic, this is not for you - BUT if (like me) you love old, quirky, natural, slightly ramshackle, surrounded by nature, but still really comfortable and with loads of amenities, this is the place. Lovely hosts, properly dog friendly, and an absolutely fantastic, relaxing family stay.

Blistors Farm The Bull Pen is a fantastic quirky cottage accommodation. We took a party of 6 adults and 4 dogs and had more than enough room. The property, facilities and equipment provided were great. In walking distance of a pub, fish and chip shop, Coop convenience store and pet food shop. The 5 minute drive into Lydney will give you access to b igger supermarkets and more dining options. An excellent base from which to explore the Forest of Dean and more of the South West.
Sally
We found Blistors Farm very quirky. We were a family of 6 adults, one 3 year old and a dog. The facilities were great, thoroughly enjoyed the table tennis, snooker and bar football. The games room is an experience in itself! We made full use of the hot tub which was heated to perfection and the extra towels provided were much appreciated. Our dog L OVED the enclosed field! We all had a great weekend, would recommend for a get away with plenty of traditional family fun activities.
Stephen

This is a really quirky property. We loved it. Its perfect for a family get together we were 6 adults one child & 4 dogs and had plenty of room for us all. Best bits - the hot tub, playing snooker on a full size table, playing tennis and having a fabulous enclosed field for our dogs to run around in. Theres loads to explore too, recommend a trip on the Dean Forest Steam Railway, a lovely walk round Mallards Pike & for little ones the Butterfly Zoo. So much to see & do well have to come back

We highly recommend this property. We regularly book cottages and this one is one of our favourites. It is very clean and comfortable. We spoke to the owner a couple of days before, she was extremely warm, friendly and accommodating and this continued throughout our stay. Very clean, lovely feel to the cottage, great facilities. A visit to the Mine rs Arms in Whitecroft is recommended, great feel to the pub and super pies. The whole ares is so friendly. An absolute must.
Lee
Lovely, secure and well equipped house in a great location. Louise has gone out of her way to make sure your stay is as good as it can be. The quality of equipment, pots, pans even the mattresses was great. All sports equipment was supplied which made our stay even better. There were even spare toilet rolls, kitchen wipes and bin bags! If you have dogs then it is perfect for you, it even has a secure dogs only field! I highly recommend it
