We spent a lovely week at this property. Fantastic views, and a short walk into the forest where there are many footpaths. Good central location to visit the rest of the area. Property is well equipped, and was extremely clean on arrival. Owners kindly arranged an earlier check-in time for us as we had been visiting relatives in the area. Bed was vRead moreery comfy, no problems sleeping at all. Hot tub lovely to refresh weary limbs after a day's walking. Electric car charging super bonus. Hide

The communication made all the difference. We requested a late check out which was very quickly accommodated, but also Elaine allowed us a very early check in. My partner and I had a lovely, albeit brief stay in Horseshoe View. A lovely little cottage with everything you need for a trip away. The beautiful view from the private hot tub was the cherry on the cake. Was a very nice touch to be greeted by Phil and shown around. A very nice personal touch and a lovely guy to chat to. Would definitely recommend staying here.
Anita
A lovely compact cottage with a view. Don't be put off that the outside area is shared with the cottage next door as there is a privacy screen which you can use. The cottage provides a very peaceful and relaxing break that is well placed to enjoy all that the Forest of Dean has to offer. The recommendations for the places to eat and places to visit were appreciated.

I booked the lodge for my partners 40th birthday! From the moment we pulled up our breath was taken away! The view is absolutely stunning! We were greeted at the gate by Elaine who gave us a warm welcome she showed us around and answered all our questions about the local area and things to do! Shops etc! The lodge was pristine! And smelt amazing! T he hot tub was so nice! Elaine's communication via email before the trip was also amazing! We really didn't want to leave! Highly recommend!

Hospitable hosts and excellent facilities.
Steve
The hosts were lovely very welcoming, the cottage was very well appointed and very comfortable. The location was great for views and very quiet but although only a mile from the nearest shops and pubs alot of places were closed or only open for short hours. But spent the evenings in the hot tub enjoying the views. The TV reception wasn't great but there is a dvd player and we logged into nextflix on the smart TV. I would definitely recomend a stay here if you would like a peaceful relaxed break.
Courtney

Plenty of cups/plates/glasses/cutlery to use while the dishwasher is on. TV in the living room was brand new and has everything you need. Outside the locatio n is breathtaking and has the most amazing view while in the very comfy hot tub. Table, chairs and sun-loungers provided are great and comfy too!
