Hosts were very accommodating and thoroughly recommend this property for a nice break. We had some lovely walks and the local pub was very friendly. Bearing In mind our stay was over New Year the hosts couldnt do anymore to make us feel welcome. The welcome pack was outstanding and we enjoyed it immensely and so did our four legged companion. Lovely property, views and hot tub fabulous. We were in our own little bubble and were so relaxed and will definitely be returning.
The owners were absolutely lovely and very welcoming and attentative. Upon walking into the property I immediately fell in love with it, it was so interesting, and very cosy, a great balcony and the best views in the area. If we are back in the area again, we will not hesitate to stay here again.
Very quiet and peaceful setting overlooking the River Wye. Kev and Susie were unobtrusively very welcoming and friendly the foodie welcome pack was the best we've had in many years of self catering holidays. The oriental decor made the apartment feel like a different world a great escape from the modern rush of the day. Huge choice of books to read. The kitchenette really is as described, a place to prepare simple meals and there's plenty of choice of eating very near by. If you pick stay here, we hope you feel as relaxed as we have.
Lovely time had at Kev and Suzis place. Great location for a chilling week. Everything within walking distance, pub, shop, woodland walks with the dog, and the river Wye.

We had a wonderfully relaxing holiday at Paradise Found. The apartment was beautifully done, well equipped and very comfortable. The welcome pack was extremely generous and very delicious. We especially enjoyed barbequing on the balcony, listening to the birdsong, seeing deer up close in the wooded lanes and birds of prey over the valley. There are excellent eateries serving local produce all around, and many are walkable. There are wonderful walks right from the doorstep both up and over The Doward, to caves and cliffs, into the woods and down by the river. You can get the hand ferry or walk to the rope bridge over the river and explore there too. Our little dog loved his walks and dips in the river. What a truly special area this is, and a fantastic place to stay for nature lovers. Many thanks to our hosts for sharing their home and garden with us for what was probably the most relaxing holiday we have had. We will come back! Kind regards Kate, Steve and Ozzy.
Excellent Hosts. Beautiful Views from an Idyllic Location. Perfect stay to enjoy the Wye Valley, Symonds Yat and Forest of Dean.

I wanted a quiet retreat to simply relax and unwind, Paradise Found was exactly that! With stunning views and birds chirping, woken daily by a dawn chorus, it really is an idyllic place. A beautiful Buddha shrine outside the balcony was the perfect motivation to meditate deeper and longer. There were lots of goodies to eat and drink, especially after a long session in the hot tub, wrapped in a bathrobe! Shame I couldn't stay longer but will definitely return.
Michelle
This beautiful tranquil home exceeded expectations. The photos on here are beautiful but to actually be there and feel the atmosphere was enchanting. This is the most relaxed on holiday I have ever felt, my dog was so relaxed ,I needed to wake ' him' up in the mornings ! The hosts Kev & Suzy are wonderful, very kind genuine friendly people who went above & beyond to make this a home from home stay. On arrival we found they had provided so many treats ,fruit, sweeties ,nuts ,cheese ,scones ,jam , butter ,bread ,wine, tea coffee, fresh milk , I could go on ! I was literally blown away. It is immaculately clean & fresh, the bed is very comfortable and the sofa.....I wanted to take it home ! Clean towels and dressing gowns were provided , lovely warm blanket hoodies & toiletries. The decor here is stunning ,you can really feel the personal heart felt love & time that has been put in here, I'm just so thankful Kev & Suzy have opened the doors to share this little sanctuary. The views are stunning, no need for music, the bird song is plentiful , from the little Robins to the geese skimming the river just below.

Great, quirky & packed with loads of local produce
We absolutely loved the stay, the welcome pack of goodies was excellent and saved us wasting time shopping locally. The property itself, although smallish it made very good use of space and the views from the verandah which is close to the canopy of the trees were beautiful, and we had the visit of a friendly robin every morning. Lots of books to read and waking up to that view was a great tonic. The hosts, Kevin and Suzie were very welcoming and shared their knowledge of the area, and of course the hot tub setting in such a location was perfect. the local pub YOFI is a five minute walk away and excellent and we loved the local walks. All together a lovely 4 night break.
Paradise Found is a unique holiday experience, perched high on the Wye valley side, it's a great place to relax. The spacious veranda has spectacular views across the valley and we spent a lot of time sitting and taking in the peace and quiet, it really feels like you're in a world of your own. The basic cooking facilities are augmented with an electric barbeque and good weather allowed us to make full use of the outside space. The hot tub is special too and we made good use of it. The studio apartment is compact, cluttered, but quite comfortable. Kevin, the host is very friendly and offered us several good suggestions for local places to visit. The YOFI Ye Olde Ferrie Inn pub, a short downhill walk away was well worth several visits!
Kevin and Susie could not have been more welcoming and we felt so at home the minute we stepped through the door. The little extras they have thought of from the Smart TV, Alexa to the scrummy welcome pack they really have thought of everything. The location, views, so peaceful and calming for the soul. We will be back!
Louisa
We spent a really fabulous time in Symond's Yat Kevin was the perfect host, there when you needed him but completely unobtrusive. Unlike the local robin which would perch on the armchair looking for crumbs! The flat is much larger than it looks on the photos and although the kitchenette is small there's everything you could need to cook a decent meal which we did several nights. If you can't be bothered there's a really good pub at the bottom of the hill though Incredible views and the most generous welcome package I've ever seen full of local treats. Hope we can go back again!
Anthony
Very genuine welcome and support. Lovely welcome pack. Could have been cleaner socks and undergarment under bed, but difficult not to walk dust etc. in, possibly a change of doormat which does not shed fibres would help. Facilities rather too limited for those wishing to selfcater more than occasionally.
What a beautiful, relaxing place. The views are simply amazing and the apartment is quirky and very comfortable. Sitting on the deck in the morning and evening was blissful! Suzy and Kevin are lovely! So helpful and welcoming. A beautiful apartment in a beautiful setting!
Paradise Found is a perfect name for the property. The views are stunning! We particularly loved sitting on the balconyveranda with a coffee in the morning to listen to nature and simply unwind. We had a BBQ on George Forman a couple of times which was super easy to use and enjoyable. Its perfect for a couple with a furry a friend. Kevin and Suzy are super friendly and accommodating thank you! We will definitely be back. Kevin and Tina

The property was very comfortable and cosy. The views were stunning and the surrounding area stunning. The hosts were very knowledgeable about the area and were friendly and helpful. The steps to the property are not for the faint hearted but well worth the climb. The welcome pack was above and beyond which was a lovely touch. The kitchen is small, but has everything you need. Although the hosts do use the hot tub during your stay, it is very private and its just amazing to sit in whilst taking in the views.

The property is beautifully situated on a steep hill overlooking the Wye valley, river and country side. The location could not be more perfect for a trek down to the valley, river activities or just a visit to the wonderful pub situated within a 5 minute walk from the property. The host were very friendly and welcoming, it made our stay a treat to meet such nice people. They also prepped us with loads of information and had a wealth of mapsguides available inside to plan our visit. The facilities and amenities in the property are excellent and well appointed, personally we loved the dcor of the study and living room. The kitchen amenities were excellent and you found everything you might need to make yourself a quick breakfast prior to setting out. Our favorite space was the terrace that overlooked the valley, you could not ask for a nicer view when having your morning tea. Also, the hottub was a treat and much needed after exploring the valley for hours. I would recommend anyone wanting to stay in Wye valley to book this location, we look forward to returning for longer.
Philip
Fantastic hosts, very friendly and welcoming. Views from the decking were wonderful, over looking the river Wye, nice to sit out and chill with a glass of wine and nibbles which were part of the hamper left for us. Very different decor, we felt we were staying somewhere in the far east, loved it. Definitely will recommend it to family and friends and certainly will return ourselves. Thank you Suzy and Kevin for a wonderful break.
We couldn't have asked for a nicer way to spend my husbands birthday. The location was great with a very good food pub within walking distance. The accommodation was first class very quirky and fun with amazing views from the bed and large windows. Nice hot shower with fluffy towels and gowns. Our host's where very accommodating .and friendly we would definitely recommend this to our friends and family.
We absolutely loved Paradise Found quirky and unique, in a spectacular location. Kevin and Suzy are perfect hosts, such lovely people chat to them, theyre interesting and knowledgeable and super friendly! There was a brilliant welcome hamper on arrival and we enjoyed the interesting chess board and books. Stargazing is recommended, the hot tub is a great bonus, the local pub YOFI is stellar, and having a balcony in the Wye Valley is wonderful. Keep an eye out for buzzards and falcons, the odd military plane, and use it as a remarkably wellconnected base to explore nearby areas. Were delighted to have been the first guests at Paradise Found thanks for having us Kevin and Suzy!
