An ideal getaway in one of the best equipped cottages we have stayed in. Hot tub was great for our weary bodies after a day exploring the area. The cottage is detached with a small lawned area and garden making for a very pleasant and peaceful place. There are plenty of things to see round about, we are members of the national trust so went mostly to their sites. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would recommend this cottage wholeheartedly.

Overall an excellent facility for a quiet and peaceful walking break. Only down side was there was no pub within a reasonable walking distance. There are loads of places to visit, and walking trails, with a five to ten minute drive. The hot tub was a brilliant and made our evenings.

The annex is very private but there are no views. The walk to shops and amenities is definitely a mile + with a steep upward walk back. The accommodation is well laid out and very comfortable. Walks in the forest on the doorstep and other attractions not too long a ride away.

Absolutely fantastic!! What a place, it was amazing. Everything was lovely and clean which showed how much care went into the property. The holiday home looked to be very newly refurbished as all of the fixtures and fittings looked like new. Elaine and Phil were perfect hosts and cant do enough to help with anything that you need. Puzzlewood is a somewhat unique attraction within the beautiful Forest of Dean. Visitors can explore the mile of pathways passing over wooden bridges and through some stunning tree and rock formations. The maze of pathways are quite enchanting and the site has recently been used as a location for the BBC1 production of Merlin. While enjoying the splendour of nature there are many types of wildlife to meet along the way including Shetland ponies, Donkeys and Highland Cattle. A Hocus Pokus Halloween event takes place from the 24th to the 31st of October.

Lamas are gentle, affectionate and unique animals and Lama Trekking is fast becoming a popular family attraction. At Old king Street Farm you can spend the day with the charming creatures and enjoy feeding them, grooming them and having a stroll through the woodland. Lamas are not ridden but they can carry all the picnic essentials including tables and chairs! Lama Treks around the stunning Black Mountains are also available.

Queenswood Country Park has a stunning location offering panoramic views of the countryside.
