Perfect stay for our minimoon. The Riverview Hideaway is like home from home. After a hectic weeks build up to our wedding it was just perfect for winding down. I would highly recommend River View. Very comfortable and clean with everything you need, good car parking area and Elaine & Phil were perfect hosts.

An ideal getaway in one of the best equipped cottages we have stayed in. Hot tub was great for our weary bodies after a day exploring the area. The cottage is detached with a small lawned area and garden making for a very pleasant and peaceful place. There are plenty of things to see round about, we are members of the national trust so went mostly to their sites. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would recommend this cottage wholeheartedly.
Jack

Overall an excellent facility for a quiet and peaceful walking break. Only down side was there was no pub within a reasonable walking distance. There are loads of places to visit, and walking trails, with a five to ten minute drive. The hot tub was a brilliant and made our evenings.
Raymond
We really enjoyed our stay in The away, Phil and Elaine were very helpful and most welcoming as was the prosecco and chocolates (sorry Phil we ate them all!). It was a strange week as started off with Our dear Queens funeral, it was good to share memories with Phil and Elaine. We would happily return in the future.

The annex is very private but there are no views. The walk to shops and amenities is definitely a mile + with a steep upward walk back. The accommodation is well laid out and very comfortable. Walks in the forest on the doorstep and other attractions not too long a ride away.

Absolutely fantastic!! What a place, it was amazing. Everything was lovely and clean which showed how much care went into the property. The holiday home looked to be very newly refurbished as all of the fixtures and fittings looked like new. Elaine and Phil were perfect hosts and cant do enough to help with anything that you need. This is a perfect holiday destination if you want to explore the Forest of Dean and surrounding area.

Elaine and Phil were perfect hosts, the property and view was outstanding. They surprised us with prosecco and chocolates which was very kind and was enjoyed in the hot tub by myself and my partner - it was the best valentines day! They also had recommendations for food and places to visit which helped us with decision making.
Rio
Lovely property the only thing that lets it down is the tv is abit out dated and was in a very quiet village but beautiful village so if thats the scenery you are going for its perfect. I wanted a little bit more around the area. Owners are so lovely.
