Dreamcatcher Wagon Reviews

Rachel
Another beautiful, peaceful stay. The setting is serene, surrounded by nature and lovely horses. Sue is an amazing host, attentive and kind. The best hut I have ever stayed in. Thank you again.
Stephen
Sue the host was brilliant and informative, couldn't fault the location or the wagon or facilities. Only recommendation would to be asking hot tub could be pre lit prior to arrival.
Beth
We had the most wonderful week at the Dreamcatcher wagon, everything was perfect. The location is magical and secluded and the wagon has everything you need. Sue and John were such brilliant hosts, we couldn't have asked for more and will definitely be back again soon :)
Elizabeth
The shepherds hut did not disappoint, every little detail had been attended to, cosy, charming, romantic getaway from it all spot! Loved the extra blankets and cushions which made it really homely. The hot tub at night under the stars was amazing and an experience I'll never forget ! Watching the horses graze, flick their tails and add the occasion al hoof scratch was strangely very relaxing . We had a wonderful week and my boyfriend loved having the freedom of the valley getting back to nature!
Zbigniew
If you don't need a room service, if you don't mind horses grazing steps away from your cabin, if you don't mind your car is parked uphill one hundred yards away... a Dreamcatcher wagon is a perfect stay. Only noise here are birds and swaying of the trees. Only colours you see are sky blue and all shades of green. Only lights in the night are moon and stars. And there is only one sign of luxury: a private outdoor hot tub ( but you have to heat it up on yourself!). Thank you Sue and John!
Richard
Beautifully peaceful location to unwind with the dog. Great facilities and location with a simple short drive to Hay-on-Wye. Host was very friendly and helpful and to cap it all off staying helps keep the sanctuary they run going.
Katie
Lovely owners, amazing setting, beautiful quirky wagon. The bed was so comfy!! Brilliant to have such dog friendly owners! Some great dog walks. 100% recommend, cooking outside then in the hot tub the rain and storms didn't put us off!
Dennis
We found the accommodation as described on the website and thoroughly enjoyed our week, which was a relaxing one with beautiful views of the countryside and luckily excellent weather. As townies, it was a delight to be woken up by the dawn chorus - and we hadn't heard cuckoos for many years! The donkeys and horses on the farm/animal sanctuary were friendly and fun to watch knowing they were being well looked after. Sue, the owner was very welcoming and extremely helpful - thank you Sue.
Joanne
This really is a stunning getaway. Unbelievably peaceful, astounding views and even more comfortable than expected. Cook over the open fire, relax in the wood fired hot tub or just take in the views from the loungers, if you want to get away from civilisation, you are unlikely to find anywhere better than this. Take an axe to split the logs to make it easier, but the owners are always willing to help. We will be back without a doubt.
Ali
We loved our stay at The Gypsy Wagon for bank holiday weekend. It's a short (but steep and muddy when it's wet) walk from the car but it felt like we were in the middle of nowhere. The view is magnificent. The only sounds are the bird song, sheep, the river and occasionally the horses. Sharing the space with the horses was really special. The wagon is well equipped and there were plenty of lovely little touches. The wagon itself was more spacious then I expected & hot tub a good size for two.
Nicola
Lovely cosy place with the stove lit. Nice comfy bed and great view of the stars from the hot tub. If you're visiting in cold weather make sure to leave plenty of time to heat the hot tub. We kept the fire box stoked and it took three hours and a whole sack of logs to get up to temperature. It was worth it though :)
Rachel
Absolute bliss; I thoroughly enjoyed myself in pure peace and serenity. It is a break from the rat race, strolling down to the river every morning. I would advise if going; something to cut wood, battery packs, and a sketch pad.
Lisa
So lovely and peaceful, hosts very friendly, have everything that need.. my only recommendation would be that the hot tub takes a very long time to heat up so would have been great if it had been lit before we arrived so could use on first evening. Location great if you just want sone peace and quiet no light or noise pollution just the sound of wa ter great loved it and would recommend and we went in middle of winter and rained !
Mel
Despite going at one of the coldest times of year this trip was one of the most memorable I have ever had. Me and my partner absolutely loved it here. We were in the hot tub most nights, stargazing and talking. I cooked a beautiful beef stew at the fire pit which we consumed over a couple of days. We journaled, read (often outside, under many blank ets, with the mountains in front of us) and I knitted. I slept like a baby as well - the silence was incredibly serene. 10/10 Thank you.
Margherita
The wagon was beautiful, very cosy and secluded. You have beauty views and the option to relax in the Hotub at night while watching a sky full of stars. The occasional sheep keeping company. If you need a weekend to get away this is 100% the place. Sue and John where lovely.
Joanna
Had a wonderful relaxing break. The view is spectacular and thoroughly recommend. Perfect place to recharge. Sue very welcoming and helpful. Cant wait to return.
Emily
We absolutely loved our 4 night stay. Sue could not have been more welcoming. The shepherds hut was everything and more! A perfectly little get away.
Michael
Was very happy with the accommodation, Comfortable and quiet with very nice hosts. You do need to be reasonably able to get to the location though as the walk to the property is across a field. Cabin was warm and comfy and amazing night skies
Steve
Our stay was fantastic. The owners greeted us and made us very welcome. They explained how everything worked and then left us alone for the duration. It was so peaceful and such a beautiful location. We will definitely stay again!!
Eva
It's a lovely location, just green fields !
Chloe
A beautiful stay. Hot tub easy to use. We did stay during a heatwave, but the parasol kept us cool as you are in a great spot for catching rays. Both us and the dog enjoyed the short walk down to the stream which we used to cool some G&Ts! There isnt a fridge, but 2 cool boxes are provided and Sue came down daily to swap out the ice blocks which re ally helped us keep our small amount of food fresh. Welcome basket was a lovely touch. Toilet and shower both great. We will be returning!
Heather
The perfect bolthole for "getting away from it all". Charming, cosy trailer with a well-equipped kitchenette. Wood fired hot tub was a big hit. Everything spotlessly clean. Lovely south-facing, quiet secluded spot surrounded by farmland, gently sloping down to a nice little stream. We spent our evenings by the fire pit listening to the wildlife and stargazing. Perfect.
Brett
What a beautiful site. So quite and peaceful. The owner was very friendly and such a warm welcome. If your looking for peace and tranquility then you will find it here.
Charmaine
The cabin was perfectly appointed with everything you could need including a full pint of fresh milk, butter, eggs, bread, olive oil, salt and pepper. Thoughtful touches from the delightful hosts were everywhere to keep you comfortable and cozy whilst you enjoy the spectacular scenery and wildlife. Easy walking distance to a couple of great pubs. S itting in the hottub enjoying the views was blissful and felt like every day life was a million miles away.
David
This is a secluded relaxing accommodation with beautiful views of black mountain which you can walk to from the wagon. The hosts were excellent and available when needed without being intrusive.
Cindy
Loved it. Beautiful views, comfy wagon. Great place to unwind. The dogs loved it also!
Jenny
We have never spent so long doing so little, a true back to basics getaway. Most of our stay we spent experimenting with open fire baking, cooking produce from the local market and reading in the shade. Tractors came to bale the hay as we watched which was just magical. Even without the heatwave it would've been a beautiful stay. Not a person to be seen in the distant view, just the horses in the next field. No sense of time, just waking up with the sun and going to bed when we felt like it. 5!
Michelle
We have just had a perfect weekend away in the dreamcatcher hut. The views are stunning and the walks are lovely. The hut is really comfy with all the things you'll need, it was lovely to get back to basics, cook on the fire pit and play games. The highlight on an evening was the hot tub. Our dog was living his best life in the meadow field and gar den. There are a few supermarkets in Hereford, also a local shop a few miles away. We also went to Hay on Wye, dog friendly. Would highly recommend.
Craig
Fabulous stay, wonderful rural location. Sue and John very welcoming.
Amy
Me and my boyfriend had an incredible time at the Dreamcatcher Wagon! The views at the accommodation are simply breathtaking and it's tucked away in a lovely secluded section of the farm. I especially enjoyed being able to drink my morning coffee whilst watching the sun rise over the Welsh hills & seeing all the beautiful horses graze in the nearby field. The hosts were wonderful and always around to help with anything we needed. We would absolutely love to come back to stay again in the future!
Claire
Had a lovely long weekend here, a lovely small welcome hamper of bread, eggs, butter, milk and jams. We got a little lost finding the farm (make sure you read the instructions from the owner carefully!) but many thanks to Sue who came and found us and guided us back. The views and surrounding areas are stunning. The hot tub really was a highlight - so much so I want one for our back garden !!! If you're after a quirky peaceful retreat - this is it !
Taye
Such a lovely experience . Not only was there beautiful views and serenity , but also so nice to meet the lovely hosts and appreciate all the amazing work they do for those animals. Our cats had an absolute ball and it was an awesome first time holiday for our little family
Alistair
Exactly what we wanted and needed! Off grid, only country and wildlife noises, amazing weather and some lovely walks.
Abbey
Amazing views, secluded and very peaceful Host was very hospitable whilst still maintaining privacy We did choose to put our dog on a long lead as he has a tendency to roam, just so we could make full use of the lovely hot tub without having to jump out to retrieve the mutt from his wanderings Enjoyed it so much have already rebooked
Richard
Sue and John were wonderful hosts on a scenic beautiful farm with q cozy charming sheperds hut! Made us feel very welcome with complimentary pantry basics qnd wwere very helpful with recommendations for places to go and things to see. The star of the show was the wood fired hottub , whic was perfection when coupled with a sunny evening and a glass of presseco. Would highly recommend for some peace and quiet with beautiful vistas and will certaibly be visiting again!
Evie
The Wagon was situated in one of the most beautiful locations. You are completely by yourself, not over looked, which is perfect for privacy and tranquility. The dreamcatcher wagon was so quaint and charming and the log fire made the evening so cosy. The welcome pack was a lovely idea and was really appreciated. The facilities like the shower and h ot tub were great and really easy to use. Honestly one of the most relaxing weekends I have had in a while!
Jo
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Incredibly relaxing and secluded/private. The wagon and surrounding area is very well thought out, the hosts provide towels, logs/kindling with honesty box, some books and games also provided. Gas powered shower nice and hot, gas hob and grill. Hosts very helpful Lovely to have the field for use with the dogs, not total ly enclosed (horses roaming in separated field area) so long lines useful if your dog likes to wander. Planning to stay again in future
Jayne
Amazing. ! Private romantic glamping experience. Rustic cosy setting nobody around- very private. Great hot tub. Everything you need is there from utensils to firelighters wood candles tea coffee sugar and cleaning materials. The wood stove was super hot and just added to the ambience. Just so cosy beautiful and secluded. Lighting wood fires and br aving the cold to use the outside loo just added to the experience providing the camping with comforts type experience. Would highly recommend.
Leila
Couldnt have picked a better place! Beautiful setting, comfortable and warm wagon and fabulous hot tub (thats super easy to get working). Sue was a great host - warm welcome and on hand thereafter if needed.
Hanna
Beautiful, comfortable wagon with an amazing view of the Cat's back mountain. We had an amazing time here and can't wait to come back. Owner Sue was lovely and let us know how to use everything, despite being on an animal sanctuary with some lovely donkeys, it was very quiet and secluded. Couldn't recommend more!
