Ewes Retreat Reviews

James
Fantastic three nights here with our two dogs who loved being able to run wild and free. The place was amazing, lovely views and a great place to relax with lots of amazing places nearby to visit. Lots of nice little touches and we couldn't have asked for more.
Adrian
This little hut had a lovely position and out look. All that you needed was there and the owners seem to have thought it through well on what is provided. Great reception and handover and help on hand in needed. Nice little area for our dog to roam and chase the ball with views over the field and up the hill to the wood. Close enough to the city an d plenty to do or just for resting and letting the time drift by.
Claire

Fabulous location with views over fields to the forest beyond. The hut was well presented and equipped and the hot tub was a real bonus after our day trips. Such a relaxing short break- highly recommended especially for dog owners. Our girl had a lovely time exploring the secure paddock

We had a great time, the bed was super comfy, despite storms it was nice to sit in the hot tub and watch the cows! Great for dogs because it's really enclosed but there is clay mud so beware of the dirty beans :)
Kieran
Ewes Retreat has such a gorgeous setup. With the working farm on your doorstep you get to see the animals up close. Emily (owner) helped resolve a dog sitting situation we had one day which was greatly appreciated. We had such a lovely week there. We would highly recommend to others.

Lovely stay in good clean accommodation. Sitting in the hot tub over looking the forest and fields was lovely, even in the rain as the tub is covered! Can imagine it is even more beautiful in the summer. Beautiful walks nearby and not too far from pubs and shops if you wanted to.
Richard
Had an amazing stay here, would highly recommend. Very comfortable and the view is beautiful.
Jessica

Thank you so much for such a lovely stay! Would definitely come again. We weren't bothered all weekend & came away feeling super relaxed. Thanks again :)
Adam
We enjoyed our stay at Ewes Retreat. Compact and simple living like most shepards huts (but that is what we wanted). Views from the hut and garden are lovely, with horses, donkeys, cows and sheep all within view of the dog-secure garden. Nearby forest, great for dog walking, just a 5 minute walk away. Dog Friendly pubs within 10 minute drive.
Joe
A perfect cosy cabin with all the amenities for a romantic break from city life! Incredible views, facilities with friendly and helpful hosts. Thanks again for the fresh eggs!
Amelia
Lovely little cabin located in an idyllic spot. Brilliantly equipt, even with dressing gowns for the hot tub (which it hadn't even crossed my mind to pack, but were very much appreciated!), spotlessly clean & well maintained. As a tall person, I always worry that the beds in cabins just won't be long enough, but this was perfect! Well located for e xploring Hereford, Ross-on-wye and beyond (short easy drive into each). Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend!
Hannah
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the location is perfect with incredible views of the area/ animals. Would highly recommend
Lisa
The perfect little getaway! It's perfectly designed, with quirky and homely Shepherd's Hut, spacious bathroom, handy store-hut and superb hot tub with the most stunning views!! To wake up and look out to the fields is very special. Every need was catered for, and very thoughtfully put together. An occasional road noise and sheep bleating (though be ing on a farm it's to be expected and we were rather fond of it!). We'd heartily recommend it and have had an absolutely amazing stay, thank you!
Claire
I have just returned from 3 nigths at Ewe's Retreat with my two labradors and the place is just magical! Stunning location with views to die for, set in a fully secured field for doggies. Wonderful walks on your doorstep and the facilities were outstanding. The hut is obviously compact but done so well, you could even sit and eat a meal inside of y ou so wished and beautifully decorated! Very comfy bed, huge separate shower room and wonderful covered hot tub to relax in. I will be back!
Adam
We loved every moment just a shame we had to leave. It was peaceful and relaxing and having the fire pit on in the evening with the horses and the sheep in the back ground was just wonderful. Really lovely Shepherds hut located with the most spectacular views. The garden was completely secure so we could relax knowing our dogs were perfectly safe. We had a lovely stay and enjoyed exploring the surrounding area. The setting of the Ewes Retreat hut is absolutely beautiful! Perfect for a long weekend break.
Bryon
This was the best relaxing break in the prettiest of locations. The accommodation was fantastic, comfortable and clean. A friendly and pleasant site. Would highly recommend, we will be returning.
Lee
What a lovely place to stay! Bit too close to the main house for my liking, but still secluded off for peace and quiet. Everything you could need was available i.e fridge, microwave, towels and robes. The only things i would recommend for people staying is a pair of slip on shoes in case you need to dash outside for the loo and some conditioner for your hair! Would we stay again? most certainly.
Joyce
We had a lovely stay with our little dog. The hosts really had thought of everything we could possibly need for our stay. The location was amazing, so quiet and picturesque yet still not far from anything. We would definitely return and recommend!
Holly
Amazing views, lovely to be by so many animals. Was relaxing and peaceful would come here again.
Diane
My three year old and I had an incredible time. The place is clean, cozy and well maintained. The hot tub is a dream. Everything you need it there and the owners are really helpful and lovely. Thanks for a fantastic stay. Will definitely come again.
