A Beautiful house very well equipped and renovated to a high standard. Excellent location to visit Hereford and Hay on Wye. Our family had a fantastic weekend. The car charger 1 mile away at the farm was useful too.
Phillip
Excellent property with everything one needs, good area and would recommend the whole experience.
Deborah
Excellent base for walking and also relaxing. All the little extras so very helpfullike flip flops to get to the hot tub. Spacious homewell set out for 6 adults so we could sit together but also find our own space. Was a bit worried about the narrow roads, but soon got used to them and were no problem. The locals very friendly. Plenty to do locally - lots of footpaths, local walks. Local shop handy, but drive into Abergavenny pretty convenient as well. Lovely wool shop in Abergavenny too.
Paul
Lovely cottage, well equipped. Hot tub and games room a bonus. We had great weather, but 2 sitting areas would have been good if weather had been poor.
Jennifer
Everything was truly amazing! Exceptionally well appointed and kitted out. Lovely setting! Beautiful hot tub. Lovely welcome basket. Lots of thought put into the entire experience. Would love to stay again - very much appreciated by 3 generations within our party of 6! Wonderful village shop was an added bonus!!
Andrea
A really beautiful holiday cottage in a superb setting, stunning 360 degree views of the mountains and countryside. There is nothing you need to bring with you, as the owner has thought of absolutely everything to make your stay as easy and as comfortable as possible. Our party consisted of six adults and two dogs. The hot tub is excellent and was plenty roomy for us to enjoy all together. The boot room is a good size and our German Shepherd was most content sleeping in there. Just fabulous!

This really is an excellent holiday cottage: well equipped, well cared for and very tastefully done. It is very spacious too. The location is stunning with a mountain rising to one side and fields on the other, and there are many wonderful walks to be had. Our two teenagers loved it as much as us: a games room, two TVs and the hot tub (from which w e saw stars, planets, satellites and the occasional shooting star). A superb village shop as well. The owners are very responsive if you do need them.
Caroline
This is a lovely cottage in a really nice area. Three good sized double bedrooms with comfortable beds and three bathrooms meant a really comfortable stay for three adult couples with no tricky discussions about who got the best room! The layout downstairs was also good with plenty of room to eat together and socialise. Lovely walks available strai ght from the door and convenient village shop and pub. Availability of an electric car charger at the owner's property was also a plus point for us.
John
A really comfortable but spacious home-from-home. Plentiful facilities and equipment are provided, to a very high standard; we (three couples + dog) had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. The views are magnificent, with plenty of walking options from the door.
Carolyn
Beautiful location and a well appointed house with so much to offer - the hot tub was great, provisions in the kitchen went above and beyond our expectations and the beds were so comfortable. We really couldnt have asked for more. A perfect house for a weekend away for three couples.
Victoria
Brilliant location with handy pub very near. Cottage is full of character and toasty warm, thank you.
Gary
Had an absolute fantastic time at Tri Afon Cottage. I would definitely recommend it. We went as a family, three grown up couples. It had everything for us.
Jeffrey
An excellent property, very comfortable with all the things in place to make the holiday enjoyable and relaxing. The views around the property are outstanding and these add huge value to the holiday. There are a variety of sunny spots to sit out and enjoy the fresh air from morning till night. The hot tub is so easy to use and is so relaxing especi ally after a hike/walk. The games room is a real bonus for young and old alike. The comfort of the beds plus a bathroom for each room is perfect.
John
We really enjoyed our stay at Tri Afon. The house is extremely well equipped & set in a stunning location with plenty to do / places to visit in the surrounding area. Communication from the owner was excellent & we thoroughly enjoyed the homemade cupcakes & other goodies that greeted us on our arrival. We will definitely be back. Thank you
Michael
This is a great house in a beautiful location, perched on the foot hills of the black mountains. The house has a very well equipped kitchen and lovely comfortable bedrooms. The snug was perfect for the children to chill out in and watch TV/ DVDs. Outside there is a lovely hot tub to enjoy after a days walk, to which there are plenty to do from your doorstep. Pub just down the road, where we enjoyed a good Sunday dinner also. Great holiday! Would return here again and would recommend it to all
Gill
The cottage was lovely in every way, comfortable, well equipped and the host had provided many thoughtful extras such as a bottle of wine, food hamper, logs for the fire, robes and flip flops for the hot tub, games and dvds. We had a very successful stay despite rather changeable winter weather!
Richard
Unfortunately the local pub was closed, however we found two others that were a lot of fun. The owners Sally & Martin were very welcoming and even provided some quality provisions. The cottage was exceptional. Well done.
Carla
By far the best holiday cottage we have ever stayed at and we are already arranging to come back. From the location and its beautiful views to the spacious and comfortable inside, we really couldnt have wished for better.
Judy
We all agreed with all the other guest comments on the website. The welcome box was fantastic. We didnt need to supply any basics ourselves. The beds were luxurious, the views lovely. We are committed games players so the selection already there was useful. My son and daughter are both runners and found good routes across the countryside and on loc al very quiet roads. The weather wasnt kind but we managed some exploration locally. We also treated ourselves to restaurant 1861. It was superb.
