We had a fabulous and romantic weekend at The Dragonfly.
Had an absolutely fantastic stay with my partner for my birthday. Amazing views and being in the hot tub overlooking nature was so special. Will definitely be returning. Thankyou so much
The Dragonfly Lodge is an absolutely beautiful place to stay. It is private, secluded and scenic really peaceful with the only real sound coming from all the wildlife. We stayed for my other halfs birthday and it was exactly as the listing states. It does have to be accessed via a farm track which then leads on to a field of sheep you have to walk across. Just be mindful that the ground can be uneven in parts so watch your step! The sheep are lovely and do not bother you. As it is so secluded theres no lighting but the owner kindly provides a torch should you wish to venture out once the sun goes down. They also provide a luggage trolley which was extremely helpful for all our bags. The owner Elinor is always on hand if you need anything. The lodge itself is beautiful well looked after. Linen and towels provided but we also brought our own towels for the hot tub. all the furniture is very comfortable and fits in well with the decor. The owner kindly left us some fresh eggs and a jar of honey as well, which was a lovely touch. The hot tub is so relaxing and really easy to heat up via the wood burner to your desired temperature. Its a perfect place to sit and watch the sun go down before returning inside to sit by the cosy wood burner in the living room. The wildlife was a real highlight we saw swans and coots enjoying the water with their familiesbabies. Its an ideal place to be at one with nature. You have a whole patch of the lake to yourself that is not overlooked by the other lodges which was perfect. There are lots of trails for you to go for a walk and plenty of information on those in the welcome book. We went to Draycote Water on one of the days and did the wildlife trail which we would definitely recommend. We finished it off in the evening by visiting The Dun Cow pub in Dunchurch where we had a fabulous meal would highly recommend visiting there. We loved every minute and cant wait to come back! Thank you Elinor
Had a lovely time staying in dragonfly, very peaceful, the wildlife was beautiful to watch the hot tub was a lovely feature had an overall lovely break.
Lovely cabin, perfect for a couple. The location is beautiful, the hot tub is like a Japanese bath and we absolutely loved it. I saw a review on here about there needing a mirror in the bathroom, they have this now! Will definitely come again!
This is the ideal hide away for a peaceful weekend away. We loved the property, the lake and the quietness. We had an amazing time and we will be back.

Had a great time at Dragonfly, its nicley tucked away and looking over the lake to the front and fields to the rear. Need a small mirror in bathroom! And the icing on the cake would be a couple of sun loungers

A wonderful place to stay! The location was beautiful and the cabin had everything you need to fully relax and unwind. Everything has been thought out so well, especially the position of the hot tub giving amazing views whichever way you are facing. So peaceful.
We loved our time at the dragonfly it was very peaceful and the scenery was beautiful. The property was very clean and provided everything that was advertised. The owners we're lovely and responded to us immediately when we had an issue with the hot tub which they came straight away and fixed. We would highly recommend this area for a little break.

What a wonderful place. I stayed four glorious nights in Dragonfly. There are two other cabins on the lake but from Dragonfly you can neither see them or hear them. The cabin is beautifully made with everything you might need, loads of comfy places to sit both in and outside and admire the stunning surroundings. The lake is teeming with life, I watched coots, swans and cygnets, damselflies, dragonflies, bats, butterflies, trout and more. The woodfired hot tub is worth waiting for, its such a treat to sit there taking in the views. Will and Elinor were warm and welcoming whenever I saw them. The trolley is a great idea to carry your stuff across the field to the cabin. I would love to return. It has the feeling of isolation I wanted but with great WiFi and facilities only a few minutes drive away if needed.
Stunning location on the lake, perfect for peace and quiet. Excellent facilities, the hot tub being a particular favourite. Will definitely be returning

Most amazing views, feels like you are away from the world and the hosts were very helpful. Extremely nice people. Thank you Will and Elena for everything!

Old Dairy Farm Centre - PO30 2NB
about 14 Miles
Suited to families with children of all ages this is a fantastic attraction in Northamptonshire.  There are many special events held throughout the year so don't forget to check what's happening while you are staying in the region.  Some highlights include the lambing weekends and the monthly local food fayres.
Old Dairy Farm Country Shopping and Craft Centre - LE14 3PF
about 14 Miles
From shopping to home cooked refreshments this is a wonderful day out in the pretty village of Upper Stowe.  You can enjoy amazing views over the Northamptonshire countryside and wander around the complex of stone built farm buildings.  Each building houses something different such as the Occasions Florist, Itsy Bitsy Gifts, Hayrack Gallery and Sheer Delights Lingerie.  When it's time for a rest the Barn Restaurant and Tea Room is the place to go.  There is a small selection of animals at the centre too which younger children will love.  They currently have two Kune Kune pigs, sheep, hens and ducks.  If you are looking for upmarket holiday accommodation in the Northamptonshire area then the luxury lodges at Wicksteed Park are sure to impress.
Catanger Llama Trekking - NN12 8LJ
about 17 Miles
This is a really unique attraction and certainly worth a visit in our opinion.  Established in 1995 and situated in the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside this attraction will appeal to those looking for something a little different.  You can't ride the animals but you can trek alongside them and enjoy the fantastic scenery.  From farm tracks to country lanes the gentle animals will carry your rucksack for you along the way.  There are personally guided treks available all year round and you will have your own Llama for the trek.
Ash End House Childrens Farm -
about 23 Miles
With family fun for everyone a trip to this farm makes a memorable day out in Staffordshire.  Some highlights of the day might include the chicks and ducklings in a basket, goat kid walking, bottle feeding the lambs or bunny brushing.  Located in the Tamworth area of Stafforshire this attraction is easy to get to.  Look out for special events taking place throughout the year including weekend and school holidays when extra activities may be organised.  Don't forget to meet Chirpy while you are there - the extra large chick!
Conkers - DE12 6GA
about 29 Miles
Conkers is an award winning attraction located in the midst of the National Forest.  Combining both indoor and outdoor activities this is an all weather attraction in the Peak District.  It's really easy to get to as well, just 5 miles from Junction 11 off the M42.  Designed for all ages some of the highlights include the Enchanted Forest Adventure play area and a simulated Tree Top walk.  Look out for special seasonal events such as October half term and the Annual Halloween Party.  At the moment you can receive a fantastic discount if you book your tickets online.
