This place was pure heaven! The pictures reflect the property perfectly! So comfortable and peaceful along with stunning views! Carol was amazing and so helpful!!! Couldn't ask for a better host or break!!! An amazing welcome and came to see us off as well!!!! Perfect break!!
Caroline
The cottage was cosy, warm, comfortable, had everything we needed and was set on its own in peaceful & idyllic countryside. The gorgeous hot tub with magnificent views was bliss! Great walks around the area & a large garden for our dog to run around in. Owner Carol was so friendly, helpful & made the best Welsh cakes ever!! Thank you
A cosy, well equipped cottage set in beautiful surroundings. The fenced in garden makes it ideal for dog owners. One of the best cottages we have stayed in.
It was our second visit to Hafan and once again it didnt disappoint. Beautifully located , this cosy, clean , well equipped cottage provided us with a fantastic place to relax and recharge our batteries! Carol and family are amazing hosts from checking in with us to make sure we were safe and our journey wasnt being hampered by the weather, providing us with tasty welcome gifts and telling us of places we might like to visit they ensured that we were well looked after without being intrusive. We will definitely be back!
A beautifully decorated , immaculately clean cottage, with quality furnishings , set in a tranquil position with only the sheep as close neighbours. Carol is welcoming and friendly, best Welsh cakes Ive tasted , thank you for the welcome pack, wine in the fridge just perfect. I booked last minute as it hit all my criteria on my tick list. I wasnt disappointed in any way. I have had the most perfect adventure to relax & reenergise. Steam train adventure, forest lake walks, and two different beach day trips all within 10 to 50 minutes drive from the cottage. I will recommend this cottage to my friends & family and hope to return myself. The only sad moment was having to leave to go home.
We loved our stay at Hafan, and are looking to book again in the future. Hosts are very friendly and welcoming with wine and cakes on arrival. Fantastic views of the countryside and the hot tub is amazing.

A very relaxing and quiet cottage in the heart of wales. The hot tub is a welcoming after a day visiting the local area, The owner is very friendly and helpful. It is very clean and the beds are very comfortable The livestock kept everyone amused watching the young lambs and calfs in the fields
Richard
Lovely comfortable cottage in a wonderful location. Extremely well equipped and spacious for 2 people staying. Although in a quiet, private position there is a main road, a shop, a cafe, a post office and a hotelrestaurant all within 2 miles.
Hafan is in an amazing location for a great relaxing holiday. Cottage very clean and everything you need. Views amazing and sheep watching very entertaining. Carol and Arwyn were so friendly and welcoming from chatting about the farm animals to tasting Carols gorgeous Welsh cakes. Will definitely be back one day. Thank you so much.

Perfect cottage to relax and unwind. Access is down a narrow lane with occasional passing places. The stream shown in pictures is located in pastureland and it runs alongside the cottage boundary, you'll see sheep, lambs and cows over the fence. Lawned areas either side and to the front of cottage, large gravel gated drive and lovely flower borders. Cottage was a gem clean, well equipped and well maintained with great bed and shower. Owners very friendly, helpful and lovely to talk to. Really made to feel welcome on arrival and departure. Gorgeous welsh cakes! The back patio is a delight with far reaching views over lush fields and woodland in the distance. Our favourite part of the day was sitting there in the sunshine watching the lambs. We had fantastic weather all week which was unexpected! Without doubt the most peaceful location I have ever stayed in.
We had a fantastic time, the property was superb. If everyone that rented properties out was on Carol's level there would be no need to rate a property because every property would be excellent just like Hafan. 10 out of 10
On arrival met carol the owner who could not do enough to please. building is amazing place and situation is amazing and to a very high standard. it is very rural but we wanted that. a little post office shop and great pub within a 5 min drive. hot tub great. we took a dog mniture snzozer and once the gate was closed was very secure. facilities in the cottage were excellent. a bottle of wine crisps and homemade welsh cakes to greet you on arrival. carol did let us book in at 2 oclock we asked pryor to arriving and on departure we were ok until 12ish. carol is a very nice person who will accomondate you. we will 100 be returning

Our stay at Hafan was really enjoyable, the property is in the most beautiful natural surroundings. Relaxing in the large hot tub listening to the sound of the flowing river is a great way to unwind. Carol was the best host, making sure we had everything we needed, providing great sightseeing advice and she even set up a little Easter egg hunt for our toddler. Only negative is that we wished we had booked for a longer stay
Fantastic cottage wonderful views
We had a wonderful week. .. The owners Carol & Arwyn were very welcoming. The cottage is perfect. The location amazing. I can't recommend highly enough. Thank you
What a lovely location, property and owner. We travel around the UK 2 or 3 times a year and this is the first time ever I can say I would not change a thing. The property is to a very high standard, it's warm, cosy, great size, the kitchen has all you could want, the bed is perfect. The owner is delightful. The bathroom is light, modern, so clean and the shower is perfect. We will most definitely be coming back here. The local area is beautiful and the locals are very friendly.
Our second time visiting Hafan, and definitely going to return again. Beautiful cottage, very comfortable and good location. Isolated enough, with lovely views. Nothing better than relaxing in the hot tub. Loads of walks and places to visit a short drive away. Would 100 recommend and cannot wait to return.
Hafan is a brilliant place to stay, you are surrounded by beautiful scenery, the location blew us away when we arrived. The owner Carol greeted us with warm Welsh cakes and made us feel really welcome. We have a Labrador and we are always concerned about how secure the garden will be when we book a cottage, this one is very secure all the way round so you can feel safe allowing your dog to enjoy the huge garden. There is everything you need in the cottage and the hot tub is great for relaxing at the end of the day. If youre looking for somewhere to get away from all the hustle and bustle of everyday life we can highly recommend Hafan, were looking to book again for next year, its perfect for us. Thanks for looking after us Carol.
Really lovely property with everything for a relaxed and pleasant stay. Friendly and helpful owner, and beautiful setting in rural Wales gives this location the peace and quiet away from city life. Would definitely recommend.
Doreen
A lovely peaceful place. Beautiful views family are lovely and very helpful
Peaceful cottage surrounded by beautiful countryside with farm animals and various birds to view. Ideal for our dog, who spent some hours in large fenced garden admiring the view, plus of cause eyeing up the animals. Owner Carol most welcoming and helpful. Hot tub really good at the end of the day from hiking and exploring the hills and valleys.
This is the best property by a country mile set in beautiful scenery and ... This is the best property by a country mile set in beautiful scenery and offered at a very high standard just a bit isolated but maybe that's what you're after

Just wow. If you need relaxation this is the place to go. So pictureque, peaceful and cosy. Everything you could possibly want in a holiday cottage. The hot tub with the most incredible views, the farm animals right over the fence and perfect enclosed garden for a large dog was just the best combination. We just loved it.
Jennifer
What a lovely week we had at Hafan! The weather was a bit hit and miss but that didnt stop us exploring the countryside. Beautiful, comfortable cottage and Carol the owner made us feel so welcome. Amazing views from the relaxing hot tub too! I highly recommend Hafan as its the perfect place to relax.
Rachel
The cottage has gorgeous views and is near to a little stream. The cottage is decorated to a high standard and has everything you could possibly need. It is warm and inviting and the owner could not have been more hepful. Arriving with Welsh Cakes which were absolutely delicious. There is a hot tub which we didn't use because the weather wasn't warm enough, but we are definitely planning to come back and give it a try!
Malcolm
Very clean has all the facilities as described. Great hostsowners.
Roland
One of the best cottages we have stayed in ever! Had everything you needed for cooking and drinking! The log burner was so welcome, with a great supply of logs. Watching the sheep whilst sitting in the hot tub after a day's walking was pure indulgence. The best bit for us was the secure garden which was massive. Our dog German Shepherd x absolutely loved it. Carol was very welcoming and helpful.
We had a lovely weekend at the cottage. It was clean and cosy as well as modern and had everything we needed and more. The beds are very comfortable and the surroundings are stunning. Carol made us feel very welcome and was on hand with tips of where to go and what to see. The hot tub is amazing especially looking out on to the beautiful scenery around the cottage. We will definitely be back! Thank you.
The owner was very helpful and friendly and made sure we enjoyed our stay. The cottage is very beautiful with an amazing fire with plenty of wood, beautiful views and a lovely hot tub. We loved watching the sheep in the field and even spotted red kites, wagtails and buzzards flying over. A Buzzard even landed not far from the hot tub which was amazing to watch. This place is a perfect cottage and we had a thoroughly relaxing time. We hope to go back soon!
Lovely little cottage! Perfect for the 2 of us and the dog. The open fire was amazing and so nice after a long day walking around the hills. The bed was the warmest and most comfy bed I have ever slept in and Ill be going straight down the shops to find a feather duvet! Thank you so much for having us. See you again soon!
