We visited in late January 2024. Coachman's Cottage is one of three buildings. The Big House was originally the Rectory for the nearby church and the cottage was used for servant accommodation. It's located about 17 miles north east of Penrith and is delightfully isolated. The cottage is well equipped. Everything is properly maintained and all workRead mores perfectly. Excellent property, wonderful holiday, 10/10! This was a beautiful cottage, much bigger than it looks on the photos too. The view is just gorgeous, sitting in the hot tub or on the sun loungers looking at that is wonderful. This cosy, comfortable cottage is set in a perfect location for exploring the Lakes & Pennines. The view from the living room is wonderful & we loved watching the animals, particularly the llamas, alpacas & emu grazing contentedly - really added to the sense of tranquility. This is such a peaceful place to relax & the hosts are very knowledgeable & helpful. Highly recommend.
