Moor End Manor Reviews

Just returned back from a four night stay at Moor End Manor with family and friends and will definitely be looking to book again . The property does not fail to impress. The owners seem to have thought of everything a family will need for a holiday away. Nice welcome pack on arrival, spotless rooms and a fantastic kitchen with everything you could need . Your own Black Swan pub gave the whole family loads of entertainment and family fun, either on the pool table, dart board , cards , dominos or one of the large quantity of other games available . Another bonus was the hot tub, inviting at anytime off the day. The shower room and drying area allowed you to shower change and dry your costume and towels without trailing through the house another great idea. The large dining table allowed us all to sit down together and have a nice family meal.
Excellent stay. The house was gorgeous. We didnt want to leave. Stephen was always on hand to help with anything and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be booking again. Thank you for an amazing stay
Fantastic place, John and Steve could not have done anymore. It is just a shame we were only there for 2 days we didn't want to leave. We will certainly be returning and would recommend to anyone.

Our party has been doing trips like this since 2001 and we all agreed that Moor End Manor is easily the best place we've stayed. Everything about it is magnificent. The bar and the hot tub being the obvious highlights. Our hosts, John and Steve, couldn't have been more helpful or welcoming too. Highly recommended and we're already looking at making another booking here next year!
We had a wonderful week with all the children and grandchildren. It's not often you get quality time together and this was the perfect place to do that. The house was lovely and warm due to the arga, and there was lots of room for us to spread out. The games room was well used, with the karaoke, pool table, darts and other games provided, there were even drinks left for us in the bar. We had regular visits from the black Swan, and saw her meet her new companion who we hope now are a lovely couple. The seating in the garden was well set out, and the hot tub was a lovely bonus, especially at night with the stars out. There were a couple of issues, but a quick phone call to John and they were sorted out straight away. Can't fault anything, would definately recommend to anyone.
Samantha
Fabulous house with everything you need for a large group. Lots of space and amazing separate bar area and outdoor space. Very friendly owner on hand to help with any issues. Will 100 be returning.

We were a family party of adults staying during the third week in September and had a simply fantastic time. The property is amazing and has everything you could possibly need for a week or more away with a large party. There weren't any children in our group but we could see they were well catered for with plenty of room for them to run around. The house is beautifully decorated and furnished with a real feeling of luxury around every corner. We loved the pub in the garden, this was a wonderful touch and really feels like the real thing. There's even a karioke machine, which we had a lot of fun with. We also stocked the bar well and this just added to ambience. The outdoor undercover seating area is very comfortable and a lovely space to spend quietly or have everyone gather round for an evening under the stars. We managed to make good use fo the hot tub as well even this late in the year and spending an afternoon out there in the sunshine was a great way to relax. I mustn't forget to mention the ducks and the very pretty black swan we had lots of fun feeding them grain kindly provided and listening to them cackling and hooting away at all hours of the day! The AGA was the icing on the cake for us, we all grew up with one and had forgotten how wonderful it is to always have a warm house to come back to at the end of a cold or wet day out. We did the majority of our cooking on and in it and toast done on the AGA was a real treat and a step down memory lane. Thank you Stephen and John and for a truly wonderful week away in your beautiful property, we would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to get away with a large party.
We stayed here as a group of 8 adults and 7 kids ranging from 4 months old to 9 years old. The house catered for absolutely everything. We were amazed at the thought and care that had gone into ensuring a comfortable stay. The house and grounds are spectacular. The outside space was well used and the kids had plenty of space to run around! The owners were always on hand to help with anything we needed. Would highly recommend to anyone!

Had a fabulous stay at Moor end Manor. The house was great very spacious beautiful decor. Well equipped kitchen which was great as there was 14 of us. All bedrooms had there own theme beautifully done . The garden was lovely weather wasn't on our side though so didn't get to use it much. But luckily there was some seating under cover which was brilliant as it wasn't cold so could still sit outside. The pub was brilliant just like the real thing and quite a few games in there. The host Steve and Jon were lovely very friendly and welcoming. Any issues was dealt with straight away. Thumbs up for the welcome package. Would highly recommend this holiday property and definitely would stay there again. Must give a shout out to our little friend the black Swan who came to introduce herself on the first morning tapping on the front door.
A beautiful stay at moor end manor I would very highly recommend this house there was 13 of us stayed here for a week and what a beautiful house it is the owners have left no stone unturned each of the bedrooms and bathrooms had its own style and character the owners was so helpful too nothing is to much for them the grounds are so beautiful too and the kids loved feeding the swan and ducks if anyone is looking at booking please dont hesitate you will not be disappointed there was four families in our group and everyone of us loved it . We was pretty central too so we could go to the Lake District and blackpool thank you John and Steve what a beautiful house yous have x we have already looked into returning x
Our party of 10 adults and 2 kids had an amazing weekend at Moor end Manor. The house had everything we wanted and more. We had a bbq, played garden games, spent time in the hot tub and had drinks in the bar . We had good communication with the host and everything was provided with no issues. We will be planning on returning.
Crystal
Stayed here as a family of 5 couples, the house and grounds were so beautiful. Perfect open space into the garden. The pub and seating area were a perfect addition and really felt like we were in a pub! Plenty of glasses for everyone inc. Prosecco, cocktail, shot glasses and even speakers, perfect for the cocktail night we had planned! Open garden meant we could play some sports games whilst having a bbq! We had a 2 year old with us and the gardens were all gated so she could run around. The hosts were there for any issues we had, nothing was too much trouble. We all absolutely loved it and would definitely return!
Moor End Manor is a fantastic property and everything about the place has been done to a superb standard We had a large family holiday and everyone loved it John was brilliant when we needed anything. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this property to everyone Rich and Jane
An amazing weekend! Met by the most welcoming of hosts for whom nothing was too much trouble . Everything was perfect and as described photos do not do justice to the high spec and attention to detail. Spacious and spotlessly clean with every facility you need. Moorend Manor is the ideal weekend retreat for family and friends alike. Our birthday treat came together perfectly with the amazing self contained bar pub with everything you need for your own cocktail evening, outdoor lounge area and spa. So much space to relax and enjoy. The gardens are impeccable. The games we took were not required as the choice was already there from draughts and cards to outdoor lawn games and bar games. The surrounding area is beautiful with easy access to the coast . We have nothing but positive comments to say and cannot rate this highly enough . The complimentary produce was so thoughtful. Thank you John and Stephen for providing us with the most memorable weekend .
Nicola
Simply stunning! We booked Moor End Manor for a family of 14 break. John & Stephen the owners were extremly helpful and on hand for any queries we had. The property and gardens are beautiful with impeccable attention to detail. The photos dont even come close to portray how lovely it is. We will 100 be returning having made some wonderful family memories. Thank you!
Jessica
14 of us stayed at this property, the photos and the description is accurate. The property is absolutely amazing. There was an issue with the hot tub however the owners immediately sorted it, if there was any issues they was extremely approachable and friendly. There was also a black swan at the property, it was beautiful. I would highly recommend this property and would most certainly go back, we all had an amazing time.
Daniel
What a fabulous place! We were wowed when we arrived totally exceeded our expectations, the house is stunning, spotlessly clean and has everything you could need. The owners were also amazing so helpful and accommodating they spoilt us by leaving lots of goodies which were very much enjoyed, such a nice touch. We particularly enjoyed sitting the stunning garden grounds, the hot tub and games rooms kept us entertained and then cosy up to the open fire at night made you not want to leave! Every room had wifi smart tvs which was a bonus. Everything was bang on, cant fault a thing! Very much enjoyed by all of us and we are already looking to book again for next year! What a treat x

Moorend Manor is a stunning property in a quiet village location. The house is large and comfortable with beautiful decor. There is lots of room for the kids to run around outside, and the Bar room is great, with a pool table darts and games. We had a family gathering with children of all ages and we all enjoyed our stay, thanks very much. .

Thank you for an amazing stay. The house exceeded our expectations, and the whole family enjoyed all the house had to offer. The kids loved feeding the black Swan each morning and exploring the gardens and the adults loved the black Swan pub annexe. The location was superb, and Steve was very helpful. Would definitely recommend to family and friends, and hopefully we will be back for a future stay.
Harriet
We loved the stay, it was perfect for what we needed. Loved all the features like the stand alone bath, hot tub and bargames room. It was great that there was an aga with the option of a normal oven too. The beds were really comfortable and there was plenty of room for us all. Lots of facilities which was great but some extra essentials wouldve been handy such as more washing up liquid, pepper, cooking oil, more tea towels. We understand these often arent included but it wouldve been quite handy to have. It was nice that you were nearby and could quickly come and sort the hot tub for us. Overall such a great stay thank you! We would definitely come back and recommend to others.
Richard

Wow! What a fantastic property to ring in the New Year! Moor End Manor has everything you need to enjoy time away with friends or family. The bar and games room was absolutely brilliant. We were a group of 13 Adults and Children and every single one of us has had the best time. I would definitely recommend this property, the owners John and Steve couldnt be more helpful and were on hand to assist with any queries.
An absolutely stunning place in a beautiful setting! Every room was tastefully decorated with so much character. Our family spent Christmas here and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Both Steve & John were so accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. They made sure everything was perfect for our stay. The highlight for everyone was the games roombar area and hot tub. I would highly recommend this property for any large family stay.
Rebecca
Very comfortable stay, the owners went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. The pub was absolutely wonderful! The only improvement could be bigger towels?!
Pamela
Just back from a long weekend at Moorend Manor. I can't recommend this accommodation enough. The Manor and its grounds are beautiful, the facilities and warm welcome were second to none. Could not fault it in any way. 14 very happy ladys who have all said they will definitely be returning to this property. Didn't want to leave. John and Steven this property is a credit to you both. Looking forward to returning to this property in the near future.

We stayed here for a friend surprise 40th group of 11 women we had an amazing weekend would definitely recommend and will stay again. The black swan made our stay
We had a fantastic week at Moor End Manor, all ages from 7 to 70 plus had a great time! The house was very comfortable and all its many facilities were top notch! The owners were very welcoming and on hand to help and advise. Would certainly recommend Moor End Manor!
What a place done to a great spec lovely guys would help at drop of a hat. 12 women had a super time and all 12 of us would recommend this place. Nice One Stephen and John x
Our stay at Moor End Manor was excellent, the hot tub was great and with the added additional of the black swan bar which was great and where we spent most of our time. they provide a lovely welcome hamper, but didn't not provide a welcome kit ie, washing liquid, washing tablets, washing scrubber etc, top floor bedroom requires a wardrobe so you can hang your clothes. We couldn't get the smart TVs working properly due to the WiFi being intermittent, But overall, an excellent property
We have had the most amazing weekend, there wasnt one thing to complain about, the property was so beautiful and clean and had absolutely everything we needed! We will definitely be returning back!
Sivarasa
We all had a lovely time.
Patricia
We have just spent a week in Moor End Manor a group of six adults and seven children. The house is lovely comfortable, clean, spacious. The photos dont do the property justice. It is a stylish house with lots of interesting features. We loved it all but particularly the gardens, the outside social areas and the hot tub. The bar and games room were a big hit with the younger members of the group. Our hosts were on hand and dealt with any queries quickly and efficiently. They were friendly and made us feel very welcome. A perfect place for a family gettogether.
Melanie
Was a lovely holiday away with the family for the first time since covid, house looked lovely, area was nice and quiet which was perfect for a bit of quality time, there was some downside unfortunately that did change the holiday experience, gentlemen was very vague on arrival didnt really explain a lot just said swan comes up and can be fed and hot tub cleaned everyday, to which during our stay found hot tub was t cleaned everyday by the end of the week water was green and not nice. Also when ringing to ask about the heat of the hot tub on the Saturday gentleman come round but it felt like he didnt really know what he was doing, thankfully by day 2 it had got warm, had the electrics trip on day 3 due to water going over side of hot tub gentleman came and reset trip and popped a cork back into the hole in IP rated junction box, unfortunately the taps in the kitchen are plumbed the wrong way round so had to watch the kids when making there juice, and the overflow wasnt connected under the sink to which we had a leak from there as well, and the main bedroom with the balcony unfortunately one of the sinks in the bathroom has 2 hot taps to which I burnt my hand when going to use them thankfully again this wasnt a child that had used it, internet is very poor in the house, and as for the swan I feel it shouldnt be allowed into the main garden due to poo being around all the time and the children couldnt really play in the garden due to this and the swan always being around until we finally got rid of it and could then enjoy a kick about, I feel if these issues had been explained or the gentleman had more time to hang a round and chat with us on arrival it would of been better and made our experience a bit better,
We had a lovely stay Sykes and the owners were very helpful. Good location and some good local pubs Only small issue was that the WiFi was erratic.
This house is fantastic and the photos description do not do it justice. The location is in a quiet village which is only a 5 minute drive from Knott End and less than 30 minutes from Blackpool and the surrounding areas. We will be staying again thanks!
