Stable View Cottage is a cosy, stone-built cottage situated on the owner's farmland, nestling the fringes of Botlon-by-Bowland, in the picturesque Ribble Valley. This is the ideal escape for a couple seeking a romantic getaway or a small family of three looking to discover a varied holiday with plenty to see and do.

Once you have explored the attractions of the surrounding area, return to find a horse and its rider show jumping in the manége within the grounds or perhaps a wandering lamb in the field if you are visiting in the springtime. Step in through the patio doors and find this modern dwelling, where you can fully relax among fresh, muted colour schemes and lovely homely features such as picture frames and soft furnishings, making you feel at ease.

Get together around the dining table for a delicious hot meal and later when you're doing the clearing up, catch glimpses of the ponies in the fields next door. We spent Christmas at the cottage this year. It was amazing. The hot tub was brilliant...even in the rain. The location is great with a nice walk to the local pub. Yet again another fantastic stay at Stable View! A lovely spot, on a quiet site, and the cottage is simply fantastic! Plenty space downstairs, convenient if you have a toddler for them to play. Weve been twice now, and would happily book again next year in fact we probably will!

We had the most amazing stay at Stable View cottage. The place was clean and modern. The WiFi was fast and the superking bed in the main bedroom made all the difference. We came with our 2 year old and 10 year old and there was so much to do. Stable view is exactly right we saw the horses in the field and stables every day much to our kids delight. Claire and Peter were lovely and friendly however everything was amazing so we needed to ask very little. Would highly recommend! The Hanleys xx

We had the best time at stable view,Claire the host and her family were very welcoming the cottage had everything u need everything exceptionally clean couldnt fault , except a dishwasher haha but went back to hand washing, even though we didnt cook much , we took a little bbq for evening meals as the cottage was so relaxing and loved watching the girls horse riding, we definitely are going back to this cottage as we were 12 hr away from the 3 peaks and hawes ,2 lovely pubs near by too so see u again x

Beautiful location, own parking spot adjacent to property. Large, spotless Hot Tub with lights and adjustable temperature and jets. Near faultless on every front. My only suggestion would be to change the old style latches on the bedroom and bathroom doors, very noisy and fiddly to use at night. Otherwise, a wonderful week.

We had a really lovely time at Stable View Cottage. We were incredibly lucky with the weather so could enjoy being outside in the courtyard and little grassed area. The cottage is well equipped, and the bed is very comfortable. It is in a beautiful area and we would love to return one day.

Beautiful clean cottage with everything you could need or want. Hosts were lovely and very friendly they even let me bottle feed a newborn lamb which was on my bucket list.The hot tub was just lovely on an evening so warm and relaxing. Nice walks in the surrounding area. Pubs nearby were quite expensive we found for food.We visited nearby markets which had lovely fresh fruit n veg and local produce very tasty! We had a lovely relaxing week would highly recommend this lovely cottage stay to anyone. X

We loved this cottage, it has everything you could possibly need. It's setting is perfect, surrounded by countryside, and walks you can do straight from the cottage. It was nice to see the horses on the training ground. Claire, the owner was so nice and helpful, and the milk and biscuits was thoughtful for a cuppa on arrival. We had a lovely few days in the beautiful countryside the accommodation was just what we needed and expected everything to a high standard and all our needs provided for. Not being country folks we enjoyed seeing and hearing the horses. Sadly it was a bit too cold to use the hot tub. We found the best food at the nearby Spreadeagle pub in nearby Sawley We would recommend this holiday cottage

We had a wonderful stay. The cottage was immaculately clean. The owner was very friendly and kind. My daughter loved seeing the animals as well as relaxing in the hot tub. Would have been great if the hot tub had a shelter over it as unfortunately we didn't get to use it much as it rained all week. A dvd player would have been well received in the living room. Everything else was great, well kept and tidy, with helpful information book and the property was just the right size for a small family

This place is a little gem. It's was so nice that with 2 hours of being there we booked again.

We had such a fabulous stay at Stable View Cottage. The cottage itself is so spacious, the facilities available meant we could selfcater easily. The hot tub and log burner were just what we needed to top off a relaxing week away exploring LancashireNorth Yorkshire. Claire was so welcoming, thank you! We didnt realise how close we were to so much to do. The World of Beatrix Potter and the Lake District were an hour away, Blackpool was an hour away, so many little market towns around like Clitheroe and Skiptpn that have markets on different days. The Spread Eagle at Sawley, 5 minute drive away, served us a delicious meal one evening. Well definitely be back to explore more, were hoping for next year!

My husband , dog & I have just had a wonderful weekend at Stable View. If you're looking for a relaxing weekend away, we would highly recommend it. There are lots of places to go walking you'll need to drive there In the village there's a hotelrestaurant called the Coach & Horses, we would recommend it for Sunday lunch .

Had a lovely stay over a cold and wet weekend I January. The cottage was lovely and warm and cosy, helped by a wood burner for which there was plenty of wood supplied. The hot tub was a blessing for when it wasn't raining. The patio area was really well kept and all the furniture and fittings were of a great quality. The sofas and bed were super comfy.

Just returned from a fabulous weekend spent in this beautiful cottage. It has a wonderful modern yet cosy feel and has everything you could possibly need. We got so lucky with the weather and spent most of the weekend in the hot tub which was spotless and spacious. Would highly recommend this place and already looking at booking to visit again!

We have just stayed at stable view for the weekend and loved it. The cottage is beautiful, clean and comfortable. We were welcomed with biscuits milk and eggs from the farm and the hosts were so friendly. The farm has horses and chickens so the cottage has its own little enclosed garden which is really useful for dog owners. The hot tub was clean and ready to use when we arrived and the use of the log burner made the cottage super cosy. We really enjoyed it, thankyou

Excellent cottage which is furnished to a high standard. The hot tubreal fire are massive and make the stay so relaxing! Cottage is situated in a lovely rural area and as it's part of a working farm you get to see horses, chickens and sheep directly opposite. We had a nice relaxing 3 day stay and I would definitely recommend this site to others.

Absolutely lovely little place to stay, we loved seeing the horses every day! It was a good space for our 7 month old to have a crawl around too. There was a travel cot and high chair in the cupboard, but we couldn't see this on the facilities before we went, so took our own. The only room for improvement we would say is for a sweeping brush in addition to the dustpan, as it would have made cleaning up the baby's mess from weaning a bit easier. Overall we had a great time, there were so many lovely walks to do, and so much we didn't have time for. The hot tub was a food bonus too!

Overall a good place to stay. All the amenities there at hand. Clean & tidy. Quite secluded about 20 mins from nearest town. Could do with signage on road as sat nav sent us to the wrong place and we spent 34 hour trying to find the place. The small sign is next to main farmhouse and can't be seen from roadside. Apart from that very happy Hot Tub was a bonus

The cottage has everything we could have wished for, and there are some nice pubs a short distance away. My son and his girlfriend had an amazing time at stable view cottage. They loved the cottage and the hot tub was amazing. Only negative, which is nothing to do with the cottage, was the local pub had shut down, so there wasn't a pub nearby to walk to as advertised.

An ideal getaway for a peaceful and tranquil break. Perfect for animal and nature lovers. Private garden and private cottage with a very cosy feel. The hosts Claire & Peter left some very welcome special touches. The hot tub was well positioned for privacy allowing us to enjoy the evenings after a day of exploring. Perfect too, for well behaved dogs. Thoroughly recommend.

Perfect place to stay in the Trough of Bowland.

We felt immediately confident of a great week of rest and relaxation on arrival. No expense had been spared in the quality of the cottage extension and facilities in this working farm accomodation. We picked a blustery week but this did not deter us from making use of the luxurious hot tub and driving to the Lakes on the one sunny day we had. Plenty to do in the area, even on a wintery week in February. Enjoyed seeing the horses, use of the log fire and a fully equipped kitchen. Beautiful setting and driving a pleasure through the pretty local villages. Highly recommended.

Had a lovely stay in this cottage. Its very clean. Everything is provided from very good quality towels to all cleaning materials. The logs that were q stater pack was fantastic and had plenty. The hot tub is perfect and clean. The small garden is great and not over looked. Ideal location and walking distance to the local villiage. Highly recommend and will be returning. Located in the Milnthorpe area of Cumbria we love this local attraction. With an eclectic mix of fascinating wildlife and hands on displays this centre is educational as well as fun. You can wander around at leisure admiring the exhibits which range from chameleons to computers. Some of the most threatened species are kept at the park as part if international breeding programmes.
