We had a lovely stay at the Elliotts! The cottage was perfect in size, cleanliness and provisions, and Sue was a very welcoming host. The property is well located with many nearby walks and amenities (we especially enjoyed the brewery!). The hot tub was also a great addition to soak in after a day's walk. What a wonderful 5 days at the Elliotts. Sue has to be the friendliest host I have ever encountered. The cottage is very close to the owners house and her children live either side too. Lovely cottage well equipped, comfy bed clean linen and towels . We had to buy a fan as we had a heatwave arrive and there wasnt one available. Very dog friendly small outside space , with hot tub . Reservoirs beautiful close by for walkies . Welcome gifts on arrival very welcome after a long journey Hide

Lovely cottage in a great location. Host was very welcoming and was on hand if we needed anything. Cottage was clean and well equipped. Only downside (and a personal preference) is the lack of privacy. The owners home and other family homes are right on the doorstop. If this is something that doesn't bother you though, then you will live The Elliot ts!

The Elliott's is a spotless clean, cosy, warm, comfortable, well equipped and stylishly furnished cottage. Absolutely perfect for two. The hot tub and the fantastic log burning stove are icing on the cake and Sue and her family are lovely, friendly and laid back hosts. The setting is peaceful and very rural with good pubs (and a micro brewery) with in walking distance, Rivington Pike and Gardens very close by and the surprisingly excellent Ainsdale Beach forty mins drive. Definitely recommended.
Lynda

The cottage was warm and the log fire was a bonus, adding a cosy dimension. Theres quite a few things to do nearby and loads of information in the cottage.

My wife and I stayed at the property 2 nights for her birthday. It was the perfect little base for a getaway. Lovely log burner, steamy hot tub and such a comfy bed! Surroundings are amazing and the property owners really make you feel at home. Friendly and very helpful. Would definitely return again.

Tracy
Very well equipped, and comfortable cottage situated in quiet rural setting, but yet central to many attractions . Lots of variety of things to do close by, or to just do nothing and relax. Sue is the perfect host, and ensured we had everything we needed. Very highly recommended, especially for a dog friendly break. Thank you for the perfect break.
Hannah
Fantastic accommodation and location! Loved the house and perfect for a couple getting away for a good UK break; the hot tub and log burner were a fab bonus. Although we did not bring a dog, the family spaniel Lyall made up for it. The family are such lovely people and although they were happy to help with anything you needed, they fully respected our privacy. Sue was super helpful and kind. The welcome pack of food, drink and treats was so thoughtful. Thoroughly recommend! Hannah & Rob x
Louise
The location is perfect so peaceful and relaxing. The cottage is lovely inside and fully equipped with everything you need! The owners are also absolutely lovely!
Faye
A very nice welcome package including sausages, bacon, eggs, bread, Prosecco, beers, and chocolate. And the dogs had their own little treats including dog biscuits, a tin of food, dog towels and dog dishes to use whilst there. You can tell lots of thought has gone into the property, Alexa, very well equipped kitchen, comfy towels, smart TV etc. The host family were all very friendly and welcoming but not over powering. Would recommend for anyone seeking a home from home, relaxing holiday.
William
Perfect could not ask for better, great value, can not express how friendly the host is,. In a beautiful location, everything on site you could ask for well equipped, the cottage is finished to a very high standard and the welcome pack was a lovely thought, would highly recommend
J
Fabulous, clean cottage and welcome from Sue who was very friendly and likeable. Extremely comfy bed and pillows. Also the first cottage we've stayed in with good set of kitchen knives.
Liz
A lovely cottage in a great location to enjoy Lancashire. Owners friendly and helpful. Lovely dog! All on one level within and 2 low steps at the entrance made it had good access. Great shower!
Gemma
We had a lovely week at the cottage. Sue was a lovely host and the cottage was so well equipped it had everything anyone could need there. The welcome hamper was a nice surprise too. Would recommend to stay here again for a nice relaxing break.
Linda
The great escape Sue is a fantastic host. She made it clear from the outset that nothing would be too much trouble but by the same token, she never impinged on our privacy. Beautiful cottage well away from the maddening crowd. Modern, spacious with all mod cons. We dined in every night and were never short of the right pots, pans or crockery. Hot t ub under the stars and then relaxing in front of the log burner. What more could you want from a relaxing break. As Arnie says We will be back L&M
carolyn
Fabulous cottage near to Rivington reservoir and. Gardens. Could walk to tap room for a nice pint too. The owners could not have done more to make this a special break away and the cottage was immaculate with loads of extra touches to make it a home from home.
Oliver
Absolutely loved our stay, David is the perfect host! He greeted us on arrival, solving any queries we may have had (which actually included him lending us some space in his own freezer to store 4 days of frozen dog food haha! Legend!) .. we were welcomed to the cottage with mood music playing (Alexa), a burning log fire, and of course a warm invit ing hot tub begging for us to jump in! .. he even included a handcrafted birthday hamper! Impressively luxurious cottage and provides 100% privacy.

This is a very popular theme park with three different locations.  The theme park in Warrington contains not only the theme park but also Gullivers Splash Zone and Gullivers Star Studios.  The Solash Zone is a fully heated indoor water play factory fun for all ages which will appeal on rainy days.  Throughout the year there are seasonal events too such as the Halloween and Fireworks event taking place from 23rd to 31st October.  You can book online to save time and secure your tickets during busy periods.  Over 50% of the rides are actually under cover so you don't need to worry about the British weather spoiling the fun.
Bowland Wild Boar Park - PR3 2QT

Out of all of the Go Ape! courses the one in Cheshire is the most spread out and it takes staff ten minutes to patrol the site on bike - which gives a good indication of the size of this place.  If you're looking for an adventurous and memorable day out then Go Ape is highly recommended.  Trek through the treetops, swing between the trees and enjoy zip wire rides all as part of your experience.  This attraction opens every day from the end of March to end October and is open on weekends in November.  Go Ape Cheshire is closed every Tuesday except school holidays.
