Absolutely amazing stay with the girls here at the Blinkers Stables. Everything was so clean & we had everything we needed. Each room having their own ensuite was an absolute blessing & we all absolutely loved our stay. Thank you so much for an amazing weekend.
Yvonne
The location of the cottage was splendid with far-reaching views over the beautiful landscape. We have seen also the stars and part of the Milky Way! The cottage itself, Blinkers Stable, was excellent: plenty of space, an extensive kitchen with all the mod cons and all bedrooms are ensuite. Also many public footpaths to wander around. NorthumberlanRead mored had far more to offer than we had anticipated. Hide

Blinkers Stables was a lovely peaceful place. The kitchen is well equipped and there is plenty of space for 8 people. The en suite for every room is very much appreciated, while also having a down stairs loo too. The underfloor heating is lovely (we were there in a cold wet July!). Overall it was a lovely place to stay and I would recommend it for family group holidays.
Nichola

A great place to stay, some quirky items around the cottage which were interesting. The cottage was warm & cozy. The bedrooms were great with the addition of an en-suite per room. The surroundings & views are fabulous & lovely walks either way. The hot tub was lovely & warm & ideal for what we wanted. The hosts were on hand if you needed them but n ot invasive. We got a supermarket delivery which saved time & effort & car space. Overall a fabulous few days away

We had a really special family holiday in a beautiful open plan living area.with plenty of room for a mixed generational meeting of the clans .all rooms were en-suite which was brilliant ,Our youngest granddaughter was particularly taken with her hot tub nights after long country walks in the surrounding areas. This area has something for everybody ,for us the huge open skies and magical sunsets were amazing. I would certainly recommend this holiday destination for its peace and beauty.

We spent our Christmas Holiday at the Blinkers Stables and it was amazing. Everything was exactly like in the pictures, we also had a Christmas tree and under it we found a gift for our 12 years old. The view was amazing, and the rooms were very comfy. The owners were very nice and helpful. We will definitely go back again soon.

Absolutely loved our stay in the beautiful blinkers stables. A lot of thought had clearly been put into the well equipped and gorgeous accommodation. The hot tub was amazing and loved meeting Boss the Labrador and the farm cat! Host was lovely and attentive, with nothing being any trouble.
Kevin
The accommodation was outstanding with a short drive to the nearest market town. I would highly recommend for a countryside break away.
Carol
8 of us stayed at Blinkers and could honestly not fault it at all. We arrived and met the lovely Kirsty who made us feel welcome and had provided us with fresh bread, milk, butter, eggs Prosecco and a cake as it was my husbands birthday. The location was beautiful and easy enough to find thanks to the directions provided and the accommodation was s potless. Lovely comfy beds, beautiful ensuites, fully equipped kitchen, log burner in sitting area and a lovely hot tub, sitting area and bbq outside.
Sam
Absolutely beautiful house and setting. Very well equipped and the hot tub was fabulous. The house is decorated to a very high spec and the kitchen in particular is very well done. As 4 tired mum's, we particularly enjoyed how quiet the stairs are and the doors too (very strange I know). The host was excellent throughout, good communication but not intrusive throughout our stay. We enjoyed it so much, we're making it an annual vacation.

Go Ape Northumberland - NE48 1NT
about 15 Miles
Go Ape! has really taken off and become one of the most popular attractions in the UK.  The Northumberland course is set in the stunning grounds of Matfin Hall.  Described as a high wire forest adventure this really is one for the more daring as the course takes place right up in the tree tops.  Giant tree top obstacle courses include ladders, bridges, tunnels and some of the country's best zip lines.  You will be provided with all safety equipment and training on site.
Kielder Water Bird of Prey Centre - NE48 1BT
about 19 Miles
Housing the most fascinating collection of Birds of Prey in the North East this centre is definitely worth a visit if you are staying in the Kielder Water area. Located in Falstone it's easy to get to and makes a great day out for both families and couples.  As well as seeing the amazing birds you can learn all about the captive breeding programme and the excellent work being done there.  Some of the highlights of the day might include watching a Falcon stoop down from the skies at over 100mph and admiring the grace of the Eagles, Kites and Hawks.
Tullie House Museum & Art Gallery - CA3 8TP
about 25 Miles
This is a museum and art gallery in one and will suit those looking for an educational and cultural day out.  You can explore the fantastic art collection including Fine Art, Decorative Art and Textiles.  If you love nature then this aspect of Tullie House will appeal. The museum holds large and important collections of zoological, botanical and geological material. And for lovers of history there is plenty to wet your appetite here. Tullie House collects a wide range of historic materials including objects, ephemera (printed material), photographs and associated information files.  We think this museum and art gallery are excellent value for money as well.
