Cragside Townhouse Reviews

Lucy
We had a lovely stay here. Great location - 2 pubs, a coop & chippy all within a 2 min walk, & less than 20 minutes from great beaches. Fab communication with the host, who was v friendly & gave us some great spots to explore that are locals faves - nice & quiet with plenty of space for the dog to roam. The house was tidy & spacious. A couple of reRead morepairs/upgrades are needed in the kitchen/bathroom but nothing that you can not deal with. We did not use the hottub as it was not as private as expected. Hide
Gillian
Lovely townhouse in Belford. Very warm and cosy as we visited in January. Enjoyed the hot tub and the enclosed garden for our 2 dogs
Beverly
Lovely house with a fantastic layout. Will get evening sun in summer so will be lovely to sit on the rooftop or in the garden and hot tub.
Annette
This is a three story house with loads of room. It's situated in a lovely village. First impressions were that it was well looked after. However, we found some cleanliness issues, which we have highlighted to the owners through this platform. Hot tub great, but looking a bit tired. That aside, it was comfortable. Plenty of hot water for showering eRead moretc. Looking past the faults, it was a nice place to stay. Check out the Black Swan pub in the village. Lovely people good ales. Hide
Ian

Cottage was perfect for us, no problems at all. We loved the roof terrace area, perfect for enjoying morning coffee, evening cocktails or just relaxing listening to the birds. Hot tub was great, and very relaxing. The enclosed parking and grass area was a bonus, as it was safe to let our dog run about. The location of the property was perfect, with easy access to the lovely beaches and nearby towns. We had a fantastic holiday. Thank you
Lorraine
We enjoyed our week at Cragside and we would consider returning if we came back to the area. The accommodation was very spacious & had most of the things needed for a self-catering week away & the location was ideal for exploring the wider area. The village has a very good fish & chip shop and co-op. We didn't manage to eat in any of the pubs as wh at was advertised on line wasn't reality so check daily/book in advance but we did have breakfast in the coffee shop & farm shop.
Pauline

Margaret

Michelle
Great time was had, area is amazing, Belford had everything we needed even fire work display at midnight on New Years Eve. The accommodation was very nice hot tub was a treat!SELECTED!.!ENDOFSELECTED! Had great contact with the owner and housekeeper. Suggestion would be provide more bin liners we did bring our own however it would have been problem atic if we hadnt. No outdoor bin in garden had to go to communal bin. some repairs needed in kitchen.
William
It would be beneficial if terrestrial tv can be viewed in the living area rather than having to watch in the bedroom
Steven
The property was overall excellent
Edward

Caroline
Lovely cottage in a lovely area. Plenty of walking for the dogs.
Katrina
Ideal location and a very comfortable townhouse. Added bonus of a small enclosed garden for my dogs. We had a few hiccups with the wifi but the owner was very helpful and managed to sort out within a couple of days. The rooms are lovely and spacious and the beds were extremely comfortable.
Samantha
The house was well equipped and really comfortable. Everything you need is there. Beds are fantastic. Really enjoyed the hot tub after day of hiking. Would highly recommend.
Rebecca
Great house in a central location. The village is well-equipped with a nearby supermarket and chip shop. Very generous room sizes - fantastic to see super king size beds instead of doubles. Everything very comfortable.
Ian
The house is very spacious and well equipped. All the rooms are large as is the bathroom. There is a downstairs laundry which has washing machine and tumble dryer with a toilet adjoining. The dining kitchen is an excellent size, as is the lounge with gas fire and central heating controls. There is as onsuite off one bedroom and the roof terrace is a brilliant feature. The hot tub will seat 4 easily. An added bonus is the Coop, fish and chip shop and Chemist which are only a few metres away!
Jenna
House was lovely and so were neighbours.

The 2 super king bedrooms are huge. Plenty of space in the bathroom. Lovely sitting room opening into the kitchen. Location is great, with stunning views from the roof terrace. Good off street parking.
Joanne
Lovely few nights away in this house. Very spacious & comfortable with a fab hot tub including towels to use with the tub. Good location for visiting Bamburgh & Holy Island. Tried the Black Swan for Sunday lunch which was delicious & had breakfast at Sunnyhills Farm shop. I would highly recommend Cragside house fully equipped & clean.
Richard
This property was perfect for exploring the beautiful north east coast - so many places to visit, all well worth it, with scenic walks and beaches that rival Cornwall and loved all the castles! This 3 storey house was superb with quality fixtures, fittings and very comfy beds. The hot tub was a real bonus to come back to and despite it being Octobe r, we were lucky with the weather and even managed one evening on the top storey balcony for al fresco drinks. Fab week away - fully recommended +++
WENDY
Beautiful property, very well equipped and maintained. A proper home from home. Finished to a really high standard, spacious and comfortable. The location well you couldnt get better. Very central with all areas being max 25-30 minutes drive away. Belford itself is a great location. Good amenities, pubs, walks - lovely little village.
Julia
We had a lovely week here. The local pubs are perfectly acceptable and the cottage facilities meant we could cook when we wanted to. Getting around to Bamburgh Castle, Seahouses, Berwick, Alnwick etc was very easy. Highly recommend a visit to Cragside House (NT). The beds are big and comfortable, there's plenty of hot water with good pressure, TV w as a bit complicated at first but we got the hang of it!
Tracy
A really great base for beaches and places of interest. A spacious, comfortable property with the benefit of the enclosed garden, parking and hot tub. A coop within walking distance for essentials.
