Fell View is absolutely beautiful with stunning views. The cottage itself is spotless and well-equipped, and Delia is a wonderful host. If you're looking for a real 'get away from it all' holiday, don't hesitate and book now! The location is so peaceful with just the bleating of sheep to be heard, and the dark skies are incredible. There's so much to do in the local area, a week just wasn't enough. The hot tub is a huge bonus and very relaxing after a day of walking. Highly recommend!!

We absolutely loved staying at Fell View. The cottage was ideal for our family ... 4 of us plus Coco the beloved pooch . The accommodation has been finished to a very high standard and the enclosed garden/patio area adds the wow factor with stunning views enjoyed from the raised vantage point of the hot tub. Beautiful & peaceful area of outstanding natural beauty from which you can explore the Lakes, Northumberland and the surrounding Pennines. 5 star!
Amanda
Lovely and very well equipped cottage.
Jon
First thing that comes to mind writing this review is that the 500 character limit is simply not enough to describe the beauty of this place. The cottage has everything you could possibly need, I was so impressed as a chef to find every kitchen tool I needed! The beds are extremely comfortable, the garden and views are gorgeous and the hot tub is p ositioned perfectly for an incredible view of the moon right over the mountains with the evening sky. The only downside: time passes too quickly here.
Derek
Fell view was lovely, stunning cottage very well maintained, clean tidy with everything you need for your stay, from kettle/coffee machine to an iron u literally need nothing. Location is remote and a 40min walk to the nearest town but only a 5min drive for essentials. Views are stunning and if your a star gazer then u wont be disappointed on a cle ar night. Think weve found a hidden gem and already looking at rebooking. Thank u so much for a great break Delia & Allen and see u again soon
Andrew

This cottage was one of the best equipped, clean and beautifully presented properties we have stayed in. The owner was helpful, informative and readily available -but not in the least intrusive. The position of the property is superb- views to die for, great hot tub and a brilliant situation to explore the locality and further afield ( Lake Distric t, Pennines, etc). The stars at night whilst sitting in the hot tub with a glass of Prosecco were amazing.. 5 all round!
Kathryn

This cottage is absolutely beautiful in equally beautiful surroundings! For us its easy access to the Lakes and to the east side of the country which both being an hour or so away. Locally for walking and exploring its amazing also. Weve been previously and are heading back next year!
Leanne
Could not of asked for a better holiday, would definately go again!
Teri
We had a lovely week at this beautiful cottage. The cottage is in a remote location on the edge of the Alston moor, perfectly located if you love walking and like to spot wildlife. We spent most evenings in the hot tub relaxing and admiring the view, which was amazing! Would recommend a steam train ride from Alston, our little boy absolutely loved it! The Lake District is in easy reach 35-40 mins and we spent a couple of lovely days there too. We hope to be back in the near future.
Lisa
Absolutely stunning cottage . The family have clearly invested a lot of time and effort to get it looking like it is . Dee has great taste Great decor and furniture . Kitchen incredibly stocked with everything you can imagine youd need to make a meal . The beds were very comfortable and we all slept great. Alston centre has a couple of pubs and sho ps but need to travel along long country winding roads to get to anywhere of any size for better facilities .
AUDREY

Caroline
Absolutely love it here. This was a second visit to Fell View and it was every bit as perfect as the first visit. Delia is lovely and makes you feel really welcome. The property itself is so tastefully furnished and immaculately clean. The views from Fell View are stunning and the property is ideally situated for exploring the pennines, the lakes a nd the Dales. We highly recommend this property and will definitely be back again
Gemma
The cottage was absolutely beautiful and exceptionally clean and smelled so nice. We met the owner not long after we arrived she was very warm and welcoming . Couldn't fault the cottage one bit . The reason for the low star on location was simply because it was a bit to out the way for us personally but other than we would actually give it 10 stars for everything if we could .
Osman
Excellent property and lovely owner who came across to greet us after we arrived. The property is in superb condition throughout with a modern feel - the pictures on the listing are spot on to current property condition and look. Location was great for where we wanted to go and the nearby Spar shop (inc. fuel) has a local Butchers inside it that al so does fresh sandwiches and jacket potatoes until 7pm. Would not hesitate to recommend.
Jane
Fantastic property, the owners very friendly and left a great welcome pack, very appreciated thanks. Great Sky and smart tv. Will definitely go back.

I must admit fell view cottage was the nicest place we have stopped at for a long time. As a family of 5 my wife and 3 daughters absolutely loved it there. We didnt want to leave. It had everything we needed, washing machine, dish washer, travel cot and even a high chair which made it easier at meal times. The under floor heating was great and the hot tub was brilliant with fantastic views. We would recommend anyone to stay there and we will be returning soon. 5 stars for property and location.
Jamie
Absolutely stunning cottage views are epic! Had all the essentials on arrival which is a bonus! There is a co op bout 5 mins drive away which is a life saver as you are literally in the middle of no where. That is the only negative about staying here... we will be coming back 100%.

Tullie House Museum & Art Gallery - CA3 8TP
about 20 Miles
This is a museum and art gallery in one and will suit those looking for an educational and cultural day out.  You can explore the fantastic art collection including Fine Art, Decorative Art and Textiles.  If you love nature then this aspect of Tullie House will appeal. The museum holds large and important collections of zoological, botanical and geological material. And for lovers of history there is plenty to wet your appetite here. Tullie House collects a wide range of historic materials including objects, ephemera (printed material), photographs and associated information files.  We think this museum and art gallery are excellent value for money as well.
Ullswater Steamers - CA11 0US
about 25 Miles
This is an award winning Lake District attraction and they have been operating cruisers on Lake Ullswater for over 150 years.  There is no better way to explore the lakes than on water and you could even combine a cruise with a spectacular walk.  For great days out in this region then this attraction is highly recommended and will appeal to couples as well as families.  Corporate groups are also well catered for.
Go Ape Northumberland - NE48 1NT
about 26 Miles
Go Ape! has really taken off and become one of the most popular attractions in the UK.  The Northumberland course is set in the stunning grounds of Matfin Hall.  Described as a high wire forest adventure this really is one for the more daring as the course takes place right up in the tree tops.  Giant tree top obstacle courses include ladders, bridges, tunnels and some of the country's best zip lines.  You will be provided with all safety equipment and training on site.
Kielder Water Bird of Prey Centre - NE48 1BT
about 27 Miles
Housing the most fascinating collection of Birds of Prey in the North East this centre is definitely worth a visit if you are staying in the Kielder Water area. Located in Falstone it's easy to get to and makes a great day out for both families and couples.  As well as seeing the amazing birds you can learn all about the captive breeding programme and the excellent work being done there.  Some of the highlights of the day might include watching a Falcon stoop down from the skies at over 100mph and admiring the grace of the Eagles, Kites and Hawks.
