The log cabin is beautifully presented and equip with 2 radiators for when cold. The bed is comfy and we had 2 great nights sleep. There isn't an oven but there is a plug in hob with cooking equipment for if you want to cook. Dogs are allowed - we didn't take ours but definitely would if returning - she would love the outdoor walks that are right o n the door step. We visited the Nags Head pub in Brampton (6 min drive) and they were extremely welcoming of non-locals which was lovely!
Chelsea
Cottage is comfortable and cute. Shower was lovely for me (a tight fit for my 64 boyfriend). It had a free view TV (slow to respond but works). A microwave, a one ring hob, a fridge/freezer, a hair dryer and a hot tub. Hot tub is charged at 100 which was pricey for the sake of one night for us so we didnt use it. Towels and bedding provided. 2 plat es/bowls/cutlery provided. Heating easy to use.
Christopher

This was our first stay in a glamping pod and we absolutely loved it! The pod was spotlessly clean and the kitchen was well equipped for basic on the hob cooking. Good quality fixtures and fittings added to a luxury feel. The surrounding walks were absolutely gorgeous. The hot tub was also a great addition. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely and romantic! So many nice walks! The bed is so comfy, as well as a nice cozy feel, and always warm (we stayed in November so it was cold). The water was always nice and hot and warmed up quickly. Nice and spacious too, only issue we had was it wouldve been nice to have some tea bags and coffee.
Diane
Pod was lovely so cosy and comfortable. Extremely clean, well equipped appreciated the little extras like cafetire and hair dryer, fluffy white towels and homely decorating touches. Very relaxing and great for getting away from it all.
TINA
The pods are fantastic. Great location and scenery. Well kept and in clean condition. Location perfect for walking or into Carlisle for shopping. We even drive into Gretna Green as only 20mins away.

Tullie House Museum & Art Gallery - CA3 8TP
about 7 Miles
This is a museum and art gallery in one and will suit those looking for an educational and cultural day out.  You can explore the fantastic art collection including Fine Art, Decorative Art and Textiles.  If you love nature then this aspect of Tullie House will appeal. The museum holds large and important collections of zoological, botanical and geological material. And for lovers of history there is plenty to wet your appetite here. Tullie House collects a wide range of historic materials including objects, ephemera (printed material), photographs and associated information files.  We think this museum and art gallery are excellent value for money as well.
Kielder Water Bird of Prey Centre - NE48 1BT
about 18 Miles
Housing the most fascinating collection of Birds of Prey in the North East this centre is definitely worth a visit if you are staying in the Kielder Water area. Located in Falstone it's easy to get to and makes a great day out for both families and couples.  As well as seeing the amazing birds you can learn all about the captive breeding programme and the excellent work being done there.  Some of the highlights of the day might include watching a Falcon stoop down from the skies at over 100mph and admiring the grace of the Eagles, Kites and Hawks.
Lake District Wildlife Park - CA12 4RD
about 26 Miles
We love this day out in Cumbria where you're encouraged to "take a fresh look".  Some of the amazing animals you will get to see include the only Canadian Lynx in the UK and you will have the opportunity to help their Lynx Conservation Project.  The Asian Fishing Cat is also well worth a look - these cats are known for diving under the water and catching fish!  Other activities include fantastic flying displays and play areas for the little ones...
Ullswater Steamers - CA11 0US
about 29 Miles
This is an award winning Lake District attraction and they have been operating cruisers on Lake Ullswater for over 150 years.  There is no better way to explore the lakes than on water and you could even combine a cruise with a spectacular walk.  For great days out in this region then this attraction is highly recommended and will appeal to couples as well as families.  Corporate groups are also well catered for.
