Everything you need for a break in the countryside. We all enjoyed the hot tub which overlooks the stream. Our dog was able to wander around the secure decking which was a plus as we could enjoy leaving the door open. Perfect location for trips to the sea and towns and are looking at returning as its ticks all the boxes for us.
Leeann
Fantastic weekend away. Everything you need is there and a lovely arrival gift of wine and chocolates. We will definitely be booking again.
Lovely accommodation Everything we needed was there. Hot tub was great. The site was quite but it was nice to go for a stroll over the bridge to the pub on the other site.
Sherryl
Everything was perfect. Lovely cosy lodge and the hot tub was amazing, even when the weather wasn't so kind. The lodge location is good as the hot tub is quite private if you use the hot tub cover in the right place and gives a great view of the stars on a clear night. Good central location for visiting Northumberland. We had a very enjoyable stay and our dog loved it.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay ar 43 Burneside Lodge, it's was in a lovely location, dog friendly, immaculately clean. The whole site is spotless and well looked after. Welcome gifts of chocolates and wine which was a lovely touch. The hot tub was maintained every day. Excellent!!
This lodge is beautiful, so homely and comfy, we had everything we could ask for, the hot tub was fantastic, the site is very well kept. In a great location too, we will definitely be back xx thankyou xx
A beautiful lodge in a fabulous spot on the park which was peaceful & private. Home from home. The hot tub was delightful & we used it everyday at least twice. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with our fur babies. The owners were a pleasure to deal with & we will certainly return again. Thank you.
We had an amazing stay for my partners 39th Birthday, the lodge was spotless, well equipped, and so comfortable, great location,Will Definatly be back. Only downside was there was a wasps nest underneath the decking which I dont think the owners are aware of? If this gets seen too we will be booking up again Many thanks

Had a lovely time and the holiday home was central to access a lot of amazing places. It was really cosy, clean and well equipped which made our stay great. Loved the hot tub and the scenery back drop from the enclosed decking which was safe and great for our dog. Much appreciated the welcome pack it was a lovely surprise.
Steven
Really enjoyed our stay, able to drop our cases and relax in the hot tub as soon as we arrived, its home from home. excellent location for touring Northumberland, site was clean and well maintained. Minor points, vacuum cleaner had to be emptied and filters cleaned before use and shower head in the main bathroom didn't work very well. however, these are very minor refinements and overall the property is fabulous and we will return without hesitation. Our dog settled in straight away too which was a bonus, he loved the enclosed veranda and was exhausted after all that running on the beautiful beaches. Thank you for the chocolates and wine, these were very welcome. We were impressed and comforted by how many dog friendly facilities there are, which meant we could eat out at ease and there was always a doggie treat awaiting. the Northumberland Arms was fab and even have a doggie menu. would highly recommend Burnside Lodge, I'm sure you will enjoy your stay as did we.
Another great stay at number 43 Burnside Lodge! Will definitely be returning!
Really enjoyed the holiday, the hot tub is very nice, plus set in a good location, asked the owners if they could turn the hot tub down! ! They come in about half hour!!! Thanks
Our stay at number 43 couldnt have been any nicer, the owner of this cabin has been fully kitted it out with everything youll need to make your stay as comfortable as possible, the hot tub is well positioned to provided privacy only overlooked be one neighbour, the cabin overlooks the site park on the other side and is ideal for anyone with young children. We totally enjoyed our stay and were very sad to leave Gary Paula
Lovely property with great amenities, good quiet location. Highly recommended. Most enjoyable stay

We had a lovely time. The lodge was warm, clean and comfortable and it was in a good position to visit different areas of the national park. The only thing was that in the dark it was difficult to find the instructions to find it once you've arrived at the park could be a little more detailed follow the park road straight on, go past the clubhouse and the play park on the right and it's the first lodge on the right.
Excellent stay in lovely accommodation. Lovely site close to A1 but feel like your away from it all at the same time. Easy access to local amenities. Hot tub was fab too. Bar on site too which is always a bonus! X
Good location, to travel around area, site clean , close to a1 , the lodge was well furnished , clean and had everything we needed , made good use of the hot tub , would visit again .
Valerie
This is an excellently equipped lodge in a pleasant and quiet location. The beds are extremely comfortable and all the facilities are of a very high standard. The hot tub is well maintained and not overlooked, and the whole site is clean and attractive.
Cheryl
Wished we had stayed for longer. Beautifully presented lodge, fully equipped kitchen, and beds were extremely comfortable. The position on site was perfect, the hot tub and main decking area is not over looked and gets the sun all day. Very peaceful stay and the site is very well maintained. Highly recommended and would love to stay again.
Lots of cobwebs on the decking and garden furniture. Bedding didnt smell nice, sweaty smell so sprayed with dettox. An airer to dry towels would have been good. However overall lovely comfortable lodge lovely hot tub and great location. Would stay again.
Beverly
We really had a lively stay. The hot tub is in a great position. There are lots of great beaches near by. People were really friendly
Lovely spotlessly clean lodge with a lovely hot tub which we used every day. There was a little bridge we walked over with our dog so plenty walks and the lodge was handy for trips into Morpeth Alnwick Seahouses we would definitely consider it again.Theres a handy shop on site and its so peaceful it was lovely.
The property exceeded our expectations, situated just by the river, a perfect ... The property exceeded our expectations, situated just by the river, a perfect relaxing retreat for the whole family, we all loved the hot tub
The photos of the lodge were spot on and a lovely welcome pack was waiting for us. After quickly unpacking it was straight into the hot tub to unwind. The lodge is ideally placed on the site and a little more secluded as you face the stream at the seating area and hot tub at the back.it was lovely to sit on a night and listen to the birds chirping away. Decking and fencing all round so we could let the dog out without her running off. The site was a lot bigger than we first thought we were just past the small bar food outlet with outdoor seating and small playground and to the side of that were some steps which took you to a small lake. It was within reach to all of the beautiful beaches our favourite being Cresswell which was only 20 mins away. If you want to save room in your car get your shopping delivered we used Asda but others deliver as well.
Bernadette
Arrived at The Lodge and noticed straight away how dirty and dusty the lodge was , extractor in ensuite full of dust, around kitchen units full of dust, under the two couches full of dust, bathroom toilet brush filthy. We phoned the owner and to her credit she came out within 15 minutes to inspect the cleanliness of the lodge and she agreed with us the contract cleaners had not done there job . The owner Heather offered to clean the lodge straight away but we had just had a long journey and wanted to settle down. Overall the lodge with the hot tub was good but the lodge needs typing up from top to bottom.
Brilliant accommodation, easy access to all the surrounding area very central for what we wanted. Can't wait to go back.
Jacqueline
We had a lovely stay lodge was great had everything we needed, nice and quiet ... We had a lovely stay lodge was great had everything we needed, nice and quiet site and close to wonderful places to visit
Unfortunately although having the potential to be fantastic and being in a lovely location the property was tarred by a few of the following problems we arrived to find cutlery, a plate and a coffee cup that were in the cupboards still dirty, after trying to clean out the dishwasher we found it didn't clean properly so decided to wash up by hand. we later found the cutlery drawer was dirty with food elements so cleaned out aswell. We reported this and had a prompt response from Heather with a beautiful hamper and a sincere apology. In regard to the hot tub we found that even though reported in an earlier review a jet in the hot tub still did not work and the water had black bits in it. A cover was missing from the remote in the bedroom small things but extremely frustrating and disappointing through lack of detail also the sink in the main bathroom did not drain, there must have been a blockage but to be honest I wasn't investigating! All in all the site was beautiful location was great for exploring the area and easy to access.
Rachel
We had an absolutely fabulous stay, the lodge was sparkling clean when we arrived, the beds were comfortable and the hot tub was amazing. We will definitely stay again.
Sandra
We loved the lodge its position by the stream was very relaxing as was the hot tub. We had everything we needed with 1 exception a hairdryer we had to go out and by one in Amble. We think that would be a good addition we never take one with us as this is the first self catering home where there wasn't one.The bottle of wine and chocs was a nice surprise.thanks again.
Kelsey
The lodge was very clean, lovely facilities. Shower and beds were a little bit small for us but that's fine. Hot tub was great but only one of the jets worked properly, parts of the hot tub looked like they had been snapped off by whoever was there previously . It was fine because it was only us two but that would have been a problem if there were four people. Great area, bridge broken on site but everything was in walking distance.
Richard
Excellent, throughly enjoyed our stay.
Very cosy and well designed lodge in a great location to visit Northumberland and its beautiful coasts. The Lodge was equipped with everything you needed which made this a home from home experience. Hot tub was amazing, all set up and ready to use on arrival. You will need a car to get out and about as nothing in walking distance other than a small venue on site which I didnt get the opportunity to try out. Sells food and drink and a menu was provided in the lodge. We were very happy to venture out during the day and spend a very comfortable relaxing night in the lodge with a home cooked meal. Such a relaxing experience, just what we needed! Would definitely recommend and will be returning. Thanks for the welcome pack too!
