Beautiful house and surroundings. Great hot tub and sauna which was well used. The rooms are all in keeping with the house decor which made them special. Soft comfortable beds and the whole house was spotless. What a wonderful house, central to the town and within driving distance to local historical towns. Everyday we drove to somewhere stopping for tea and cake and sometimes lunch. Love to come again. A warm house with everything you need.***** a definite 5 star

We had a lovely family get together in Alnwick. The house is in a great location just a short walk from the centre and quiet. It was very clean and the kitchen had plenty of equipment, but the house is looking a little tired and cluttered and could do with an update, but fine for a short break. The house was a little chilly and in one of the bathroRead moreoms the water was only lukewarm. The beds were comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. Hide

This is a lovely homely house. It feels as though you have stepped back in time. All the bedrooms were super comfy and of generous size. Plenty of seating areas dotted around which is useful when you have a big group of people. The conservatory was an especially relaxing space. Garden space was more than adequate for the six grandchildren of variouRead mores ages. The dining room table was huge and just what we needed for family meals. We could all comfortably get round the table. Hide

Our family had a lovely stay at Ravenslaw making wonderful memories for the future. Short walk to Alnwick castle and short drive to Northumberlands beautiful coastline. All in all a lovely stay.
Linda
Great family gathering in a great property, perfect size for our party. Very well equipped property to cater for a family of 17. Hosts were very welcoming and gave us contact details should we require anything.
Lesley
A fantastic property in an excellent location for local amenities and exploring Northumberland. Ample car parking. Loads of space for everyone with the different rooms and well equipped. Great to have all rooms en-suite. Lots of hot water in the kitchen but only luke warm showers in some of the upstairs rooms. Loved all the furnishings but some are starting to look a little tired and could do with updating. Also some issues with cleaning but would still recommend.
Rena
Excellent location, lots of interesting places and beaches to visit.
David
Ravenslaw House is simply the best property that we have had the pleasure to stay in. Its location, close to all amenities, in the beautiful town of Alnwick, gives easy access to the marvellous Northumberland coast. First class!
Dorothy
Rented for family celebration. Perfect venue
Joanne
Great house for a big family get together however some improvements needed to level of cleanliness and communication with housekeeper when issues arise. Owners were however very responsive. That said, great location and lots of space both inside and out.
Robert
Location is great and plenty of space for a full compliment of guests. The house while old in style which is lovely, needs work to bring it up to a better standard.... particularly the seating. Showers and beds were fine but pillows and lighting very hit and miss. Generally clean and tidy. Our party particularly enjoyed the sauna and hot tub.
Hal
we had an absolutely wonderful time at Ravenslaw, we enjoyed all the amenities of the house, and the walk to Barter Books and into town was lovely too.

Just had a fantastic long weekend at Ravenslaw House with my family celebrating my 80th birthday. The house was the star, we all loved it from eating in the beautiful dining room to the hot tub and sauna. Couldnt have been more comfortable and welcome pack very nice touch. Will definitely return!!

This was a great house for a family get together. The location is perfect as it allows you to walk to all facilities when necessary but you have the coast within easy driving distance. We particular liked that all the bedrooms were large and each had its own bathroom.
Gillian
A beautiful house full of character and very spacious for our party of 10 . Touches like music on arrival on the radio and welcome pack made this a perfect holiday along with very helpful man who greeted us. Located within easy distance of Lidli and nice walk into Alnwick. Gardens a good size and perfect for the dogs . Would highly recommend this p roperty and would love a return visit.
Catherine
Ravenslaw is a marvellous house with a lovely secure garden. We had a family gathering and it was ideal. Lots of space, lots of sitting rooms and a large kitchen to come and go to. An amazing dining room and a very comfortable conservatory. It felt like a castle with nearly all the bedrooms with four poster beds. Its situation was ideal too. Just 2 minutes from Lidl and an easy walk to the town, castle and gardens and the famous Barter books. We had a super time.
Charlotte
The property was utterly perfect. we went for a birthday weekend away with 18 of us, it was better than the photos! The house was massive with plenty of space for everyone including our own bathrooms: The location was perfect for us with a 10 minute walking distance into the town. Honestly if your thinking of booking this- do it- it was such good v alue for money and couldnt recommend it enough!!!
John
Overall a very good holiday experience especially for a large number of people. The hot tub was well used by all of our party. The level of equipment was excellent as was the size of the kitchen. The furniture in the lounge was tired and in some cases uncomfortable especially for those who have mobility issues. We would return to the house in the futur e as Alnwick is the ideal centre to explore Northumberland.Overall score I would give the house 8 out 10.
Lesley
Superb house for a large family gathering. Alnwick is a great location to explore the beautiful Northumberland countryside. The property had everything we needed, was extremely clean, and comfortable, and certainly has the WOW factor. Tanya, the housekeeper was quick to respond to any issues we had and these were quickly resolved. I would recommend Sherkhan for an Indian takeaway, and Wilkins Fine Dining for a special in-house dining experience, for that special occasion.
Gail
Had a great weekend with all the family celebrating 85th Birthdays. The house was great with each bedroom having its own bathroom and sitting area. Space when you needed it and super communal rooms when everyone wanted to get together. Would highly recommend this house just 10 mins walk into Alnwick. We were cooking for 14 adults and there werent e nough big pans and roasting tins - spoke to Tanya and within the hour new pans and roasting tins arrived!!! You cant ask for better than that
Janet
We really enjoyed our stay at Ravenslaw, its a great place for a get together with the added bonus of everyone getting their own en-suite. A very comfortable house. The hot tub and sauna are good fun. Very easy walk to Lidl or into Alnwick. The only negative was there were no cleaning products left, nothing except one dishwasher tablet.
Mark
Wow what a place, rooms all magnificent and bathrooms fabulous. Hot tub and sauna were ready for our arrival which was great and we used them a lot . Great location and easy walk into town centre 10 mins max and we are not fit, if to far break walk at Plough nice pub! Indian in Alnwick Sherkhan is great. Alnmouth station is great to pop on train to Edinburgh for the day. House is great , garden lovely , dining room lovely for family get together and meals All in All fabulous stay
Wesley
The house is awesome. So full of character and well set up with everything you need for a great time with friends and family. The hot tub and sauna were fab and lots of time was spent in each.
Kara
It was fabulous, huge property that had everything we needed, it was just brilliant
Helen
Fantastic value for money. The house has bags of character in a great location.
Laura
This place is magical, the pictures do not do it justice. My family friends and I had an absolutely amazing Christmas week here. From the moment we walked through the door the scene was set. Jonathan and Tanya ensure you aware should you need any assistance without imposing on your stay. The communal areas for large parties are perfect and each bed room is so much more when you want privacy from the rest of the party. Ravenslaw House has my highest recommendation.
