Owl At Mels Cottages Reviews

Rebecca
We stayed in Owl cottage, are a family of five with one dog and the space was great. Two decent size bedrooms, one with a double and another with a double bunk bed. The living area had enough seating for us all and space around a dining table. The biggest appeal for booking was the leisure suite which was really great with separate pool, hot tub an d sauna. We understand that the owners are looking to update the property and we hope the bathroom is top of the list as its desperately needed.
Caroline
Tired interior for the price. Leisure center needs to be open longer. Good customer service when oven went wrong. Late check in at 5pm also a draw back. Remote location nearest shop 15 Mon drive and around 30 min drive to attractions. Also ping pong table directly outside kitchen window so could be annoying if being used late in evening. Cars parke d directly outside kitchen window. Enclosed garden great for dog. Take wellies as nearby walks muddy.
John
Great place to stay. Dog friendly several walks straight out of the door. Leisure suite great. Even elexa worked in spite of noise from spar. Furniture suite could be better. Apparently new one on order. Old type of hob could do with upgrade with current refurbishment. Overall would go back any time.
Joanne
We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was cosy and well equipped. The provision of extra handles in the bathroom was much appreciated. The booklet was full of information about the house and the surrounding area. We enjoyed using the swimming pool, hot tub and sauna. A real treat. Our dog thoroughly enjoyed his freedom in the enclosed garden area too.
Doug
Really lovely bottom floor cottage, pool and hot tub were great, plenty of walking routes and things to do in the local area.
Carol
Immaculate and lovely and clean, lids from pans missing and very uncomfortable sofas, perfect for two but would have been a bit of a squeeze with four. steep step to get in and out of cottage.
Rosalind
I really came for the hot tub and pool for my disabled daughter and it worked brilliantly - thank you so much.
