Chapel Of Art Reviews

An 80 birthday celebration with 3 generations enjoying a very special weekend together. The chapel lived up to all it claimed to be and more. On an extremely cold weekend it was lovely and warm, the beautiful Christmas decorations were an added bonus. All the facilities were well used, the hot tub on a cold, snowy, starlit night was magical. Thank Read moreyou for the generous welcome hamper very much appreciated. We hope to be back. We loved our time at Chapel of the arts. A super place for our recent 50 anniversary family celebration. The BBQ, fire pit, hot tub, sauna, and cinema were all enthusiastically received, and, the art materials were embraced by little 2.5 & 5 year fingers and adults alike. This is an absolutely beautiful property - we all spent the first half an hour opening doors and squealing at the latest gorgeous room we found! It's really well equipped and decorated - the hot tub is great, and the cinema room is awesome. The beds are comfortable and everywhere was squeaky clean. We will definitely be back!

Ideally located and a good homely feel. Plenty of separate rooms
David
Pros:- lovely setting and views, close to Howorth. Cons:- The chapel is divided into 2 lets, so noise can be heard from the other let, the hot tub area is overlooked by the other let and you have walk closely past their dinning room window to access it. Dining area is quite small with the dining table squashed againt the stairs, this is on the 1st floor but all toilets are on the ground floor. Think the pics were taken when new as the place could do with a freshen up, it's a bit tatty in places.
Sandra
Extremely disappointing, gloomy, shabby in places & not clean. Previous reviews & photographs so misleading. The dark dcor throughout gives this property a depressing feel. The dirt was unacceptable, cobwebs hanging from ceilings & in windows, items from previous occupants found under 4 beds, dead moths on stairs, we even bought our own cleaning pr oducts for the ensuite bathroom. Silly stairs to pointless areas taking up much needed space especially in dining area and I would go on if I could!
Danielle
A lovely ,quirky house full of character if your after something that little bit different. We stayed as a family for my mums 80th birthday & it was fabulous.
Katie
Stunning house, perfect for a hen party! Had a great weekend here as a group of 9. The beds are SOOO comfy, we didnt want to leave! It is definitely quirky but has been done to such an amazing standard with lots of thoughtful touches from the host!
Lesley
Great place, lovely hosts who made our stay lovely .
Linda
The Chapel of Art is very unique and quirky! We enjoyed our stay! There was a lot of stairs/ steps so having a toddler with us was stressful at times. Great position for exploring the area. Particularly enjoyed its closeness to Haworth and the Steam Railway ! The Chapel is very well equipped in the kitchen area. The children enjoyed the painting eq uipment! The Cinema room was very enjoyable too!
Rebecca
This was the most beautiful house any of us had stayed in! It's so vibrant, cleverly decorated and designed. Very kindly there was a care box for us upon arrival. The house has an upside down design which meant it was really lovely and light but also private - lots of sky lights and funky furniture. The walls were painted in contrasting colours and you felt like you could get lost in it. LOADS of fridge space - a rarity when you are staying somewhere with a large group. V comfy sofas and beds!
Kairen
Our stay was lovely and this was the cleanest and best equipped house we have ever stayed in. We loved everything about it. Theres loads of attention to detail and each bedroom is different and special. We loved all the small touches such as provision of colouring pencils and paint, and the hot tub was fab! We would definitely recommend this house. Its in a good position with two pubs within walking distance and beautiful Howarth only a couple of miles away.
Donna
We absolutely loved our stay and found the chapel to be really quirky and thought it was actually much better that the photos on the website. There was loads of space to accommodate us and we made use of the cinema room, hot tub and the sauna, and loved the fact there was an additional fridge near the cinema room so we didnt have to go to the kitch en. We would definitely recommend a visit.
David
The Chapel of Art is beautiful accommodation in a beautiful location. We had 10 friends and relatives staying for birthday / retirement celebrations and Shalini (the owner) had provided complimentary balloons and a gift hamper. The Chapel comfortably accommodated us all in the artist-themed bedrooms. We loved the sauna, hot tub and home cinema and there are lovely walks in the doorstep. Haworth is a 5 taxi-ride away or theres the steam train if lucky with timings. The singing Santa was fun!
Carole
Absolutely amazing property, as soon as we entered it was breathtaking! We settled in immediately, the children and the dog loved it. Haworth is a lovely village. Gorgeous walks and fabulous views, would love to come again, the whole family had a wonderful stay, wishing it was longer. We even talked about coming for Christmas, next year ญญญญญ Alrea dy recommended it to lots of friends
Rachel
What an absolutely amazing place. So much work & love has gone into making it a wonderful place to stay with family or friends. It is beautifully decorated with so many details and such character. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and memorable. We loved the special extras of the sauna, hot tub and the cinema room. Its in a beautiful location with lovely views. I would definitely recommend.
Deborah
The Chapel of Art was a fantastic place to stay - we only wished that we were staying a week rather than a long weekend. It was very comfortable, spacious and finished with great attention to detail. We loved the views from the living room and had some lovely walks straight out the front door. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the property which had something for everyone from a movie night in the cinema room, to glorious walking and spacious accommodation. We couldn't recommend it more!
