The Old Piggery Reviews

We enjoyed a fabulous 5 days at The Old Piggery. Its a wonderful place to stay and Stu and Jo could not be better hosts. My children asked if they could feed and help care for the animals during our stay and they were so accommodating. The hot tub was wonderful with great views and the accommodation was spacious and comfortable. We will definitely be returning soon.
Lovely clean, comfortable and well equipped accommodation. Fantastic views. I found the bedroom very hot, even with the thermostat turned down the floor remains warm but the fan was put to good use unable to open the window due to high winds . My granddaughter loved meeting all the animals and using the hot tub with grandad.
A lovely place to stay with excellent views. The owners were great and very friendly. The bottle of bubbly and milk in the fridge when we arrived was greatly appreciated, thank you. At one point we thought there was a problem with the Hot Tub, but there wasn't, the EC message on the display didn't stand for Error Code it stood for Economy, totally our fault as we didn't realise. However, when we rang one of the mobile numbers for someone to come and take a look, we didn't expect them to turn up so fast. Within 10 minutes a lady and gentleman arrived to sort it out, fantastic customer service I call that...! Overall, can't fault the accommodation or the service we received, the lane leading to the farm is a bit bumpy but otherwise nothing to complain about. We'll be back at some point for sure...!

We as a family of 5 had a wonderful stay. The Old Piggery was comfortable and had everything we needed. The views were spectacular and the animals were an added bonus, so lovely to be able to look at them everyday. We visited so many lovely places from beautiful Haworth to busy York. Thank you for a lovely week.
Elizabeth
Brilliant property, cosy and warm. Views were breathtaking. Lovely to watch sunset while in the hot tub. Shops within walking distance though coming back is mostly up hill but Im 68 and still managed. Had a lovely relaxing holiday and would definitely recommend. Went on steam train to Haworth and Oxenhope from Keighley. We went in October but hit on lucky with the weather.

Fabulous,so very well equipped, everything you could think of was there, immaculate, plenty of parking right outside the door, ramp for our disabled family member, walk in shower, all very accessible which made it perfect for us. The younger members absolutely loved the hot tub, very private, not overlooked. The animals made the holiday perfect, met them all and fed them. A perfect holiday for a variety of ages and abilities . Would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone.

We had an amazing stay. The Old Piggery was wonderful and the owners could not have been more helpful. We'd love to go back!
Joanne
Love this place! Our second time visiting and will be making it an annual break!!
A wonderful stay! The Old Piggery has the best of both worlds. It feels rural and secluded but a 5 minute drive to the facilities of Keighley, and those views are incredible by day or night. Jo introduced us to the animals and we got to feed the donkeys, alpacas and goats, which my daughters loved! We struck up quite a friendship with the donkeys who live on the next field and would always come to the fence to chat over a handful of grass! The accommodation was comfortable and spacious and a gorgeous setting for my 50th birthday! Thank you!
Catherine
We had an amazing stay at new year for two nights. The cottage was very clean, homely and warm. Views from the cottage are lovely and the children enjoyed animals being right on the doorstep. We got to feed the animals too which was a bonus. The owners are very friendly and accommodating and helpful with anything you need. We enjoyed some lovely walks, local shops etc nearby are easily accessible. We will definitely book again.
Always a relaxing stay great owners love the farmyard experience
Amanda
Couldn't have asked for more. Perfect
Kimberley
Lovely property with gorgeous views. Unfortunately the hot tub was not working whilst we were there which is why I only gave it 4 stars. They said it would be mended by the evening but it didn't hear up but we did get some money back.
Natasha
Was such a lovely place to stay, the tour to meet all the animals was awesome, my 9 month old thought it was brilliant and my 1yr old nephew was fascinated. My only gripe would be how hot it was inside, we turned all the thermostats off as instructed, opened all the windowsdoors and had fans on but we were all still sweating majority of the time. The underfloor heating I can imagine is lovely in the winter but we needed to switch it off the moment we got there and we couldnt.
Hannah
Loved the hot tub. Communal space very large and lovely views. Pillows in the smallest room on bunk beds could be a little comfier but that would be our only gripe.
Christine
Mesmerising views, very clean and comfortable and great location for many attractions. Very well equipped and furnished, just slight issue with cupboard space for food. Excellent place to relax.
Elaine
We had an enjoyable stay in The Old Piggery which had amazing views , was clean , comfortable and well equipped. We were impressed with the attention to detail and the extra touch with the fresh flowers plus the Bubbly and the milk . Thank you . We enjoyed the visit every afternoon from the peacock , who sunned himself on top of the hot tub gazing down at the view below !
Jennifer
We had an amazing 7 night stay at the old Piggery. Like home from home. Spotlessly clean. Literally everything you need is provided even dish washer tablets! Little touches on arrival like the fresh flowers, milk & Prosecco & then fresh free range eggs on Easter Sunday made this stay even more enjoyable. Hot tub with the amazing views was great to chill in after a long day sightseeing. Owners were very friendly & welcoming. Would definitely recommend & would love to come back on our next visit to this area.
Loved our stay here. Fantastic views day and night from hot tub. Nice big tv in lounge. Loved the friendly peacocks . Nice bottle of fizz on arrival. Definitely recommend this place .
Lovely cottage in a beautiful setting. Kids loved seeing the farm animals everyday and feeding the donkeys. Beds were lovely and comfortable and the space was great for 4 adults and 2 children. The only negative was that there wasn't a washing machine and I personally would have preferred one instead of a dishwasher. I'm sure not everyone would agree with me but that's just my opinion. It also would have been nice to have fresh towels as we are unable to wash them. I did text the owner but got no response regarding this which was disappointing. These were minor negatives and did not impact on the overal stay, it was a lovely week away. Weather was atrocious but that is certainly nothing to do with the cottage. The under floor heating kept us all cosy inside. The hot tub felt lovely and clean which was nice as this isn't always the case with previous cottages. Many thanks to the owners, the Goulding and Robertsons.
The cottage was really clean and comfortable. At night it was lovely looking over the lights of Keighley whilst we sat in the hot tub. We had a really lovely stay. The lights in the hot tub didnt seem to work, but that was ok.
Pamela
The property is down a long farm track that is in a very bad state of repair, with large potholes which was difficult to navigate. The property itself was pretty good with just a couple of issues, all of the shower rooms were useable but in need of some sort of repair, and we found an iron in one of the cupboards but no ironingboard so we were unable to iron clothing, I don't know if this was Covid related removing items to prevent spreading the virus but it was inconvenient.
We have been staying at Cragg Hill for the last 5 years. We love staying here, it's proper pet friendly. It's clean, warm, the owners are lovely and very accommodating. It feels isolated yet only a few minutes drive to the town shopsfood etc The hot tub is one of the main highlights as well as the under floor heating. This visit we got hit by snow, I was so happy, it look amazing! Thankfully it melted a day or so later although I wouldn't have minded being snowed in We usually stay later in the year, when it's coldwindywet, nothing better than hearing the stormy weather whilst in total comfort!!! Will be back next year!!!
Sophie
Weve been 3 times now and always have the best time! !!
Joanne
We couldnt have wished for more for our little breakaway, everything about it was perfect! Such a beautiful place. Then the icing on the cake is that hot tub with the most spectacular views on a night time!! We will be seeing you again old piggery!! Thankyou for a fabulous few days away. X
Stephanie
The old piggery was a beautiful place to stay, the lodge itself was spacious and had everything we needed. The only thing that could be thought out and possibly improved, the hot tub had a lid, however when the lid is removed to access the tub, the only place the lid could go was propped up behind the tub which spoilt the view. Couldnt see the amazing sights of Keighley as the lid obscured it. Wonder if this could be positioned elsewhere?
Brilliant place to stay. Quiet relaxing and that hot tub with the views wow. The owners were so lovely and kind. Even had a bottle of Prosecco lfrom Job ioved drinking that in the hot tub. Fantastic week way
Perfect get away location. Clean, cosy and well equipped. Superb views and lots to explore nearby.
Good value and great fun for the kids with all the farm animals nearby. Very accommodating hosts.
Great and enjoyable holiday at the Piggery Keighley West Yorkshire. 3rd time going there and did not disappoint . Will be back again next year with Millie our dog as always
