Absolutely perfect stay, couldnt fault the place! Location was great, facilities were great, wed definitely book again!
We had a lovely stay at the cottage in December with it being a great location to explore the local area. The cottage has been designed to a very high standards and has everything you could need whilst away. The pubs in the village are only a short walk away really and very friendly. We met the owners whilst there and they we're very personable too. Highly recommended
Alison
Absolutely amazing cottage. It was like a show home. Everything was perfect from the fresh flowers to the welcome tray to the supply of wood and the hot tub. The only negative was the house is on a main road, there isnt a foot path to walk on. To walk our dog we had to drive to the village and then walk there. It wasnt an issue for us, but dog owners need to be aware.

The property is very beautifully furnished throughout and immaculately clean. The hot tub was a real bonus. Cannot fault the property. It had everything we needed to have a lovely holiday. Very much enjoyed the walk along the river recommended by the owners. We fell on The Wheatsheaf Inn by accident on our day of arrival and went back a couple of times. Five Houses farm shop and cafe is another decent local place to eat. Great property in a great location with lovely owners! Would highly recommend.
Absolutely fantastic cottage , beautifully furnished & very comfortable, would definitely recommend. Owners next door very friendly & helpful . Would love to stay here again
Beautiful cottage and very equipped with everything you may need. The kitchen area was very homely with a lovely log burner and the beds were very comfortable. The shower over the bath was brilliant. On our arrival we had a lovely food basket left with essentials which I thought was a really nice touch. The hot tub was a great addition and didn't disappoint. Took 2 dogs with us who enjoyed the walk from the cottage with all the information the owners had left us. Would recommend.
Sharon
Absolutely lovely property, beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable, the owners were very helpful and even allowed us to store our bikes in their garage. Would not hesitate to stay again in the future and will definitely recommend to any friends or relatives heading to this part of the UK.
Natalie
Beautifully decorated, in a gorgeous location. Would definitely book again

We absolutely loved our stay at Drumrauch Cottages. Everything was spot on! From the welcome pack to the hot tub, the decor was beautiful, and it was so clean and welcoming. We loved having the log burner going each night while playing family games in the kitchen, it felt really cosy. Hutton Rudby is a perfect base to visit surrounding areas, it was a lovely peaceful stay. We will definitely be booking again. Thank you!

We loved our stay at Drumrauch cottage, the location is perfect for exploring the area. Hutton Rudby is a very pretty village with lovely walks, small shop and a couple of pubs. The only downside for us with dogs is the lack of outside space at the cottage itself. The hot tub was a favourite with all our family!
We had a wonderful stay at Drumrauch Cottage and would definitely recommend. It is ideally located to explore the surrounding areas and the cottage itself has all the home comforts you need, beautifully decorated throughout. Ooh and that hot tub is a great way to relax. Really comfy bed, and lovely fluffy towels. We didn't use the log burner as the weather gods were really kind to us during our stay but could imagine how cosy it would feel on a winter night. The hosts left us a lovely welcome pack, they were on hand to help with any issues, yet left you to enjoy your holiday.
Stephanie
Great cottage, wonderful decor and facilities everything you need for a lovely holiday. Hot tub was a bonus we used it every day, Owners very friendly and helpful, lovely village good pub and excellent food.
Lovely cottage in a great area. The house is very nicely styled and there is everything you would need for your stay, shaper knives would be a bonus as we struggled a little, and the back yard is a squeeze, but there is comfy seating at the front of the property. Hot tub was a bonus and the hosts we found to be extremely attentive and generous.
Anthony
Fabulous location Fabulous accommodation Fabulous hosts

An excellent stay in a lovely cottage with friendly, thoughtful and generous owners. There is a wealth of places to visit and things to do nearby and the cottage provides a perfect base from which to enjoy what is on offer. It was a pity we couldn't spend longer at Drumrauch but we enjoyed ourselves immensely. The cottage was welcoming, very comfortable and tastefully presented. Many thanks for maintaining such high standards.

We had a wonderful stay at Drumrauch cottage The cottage was very clean and tidy with beautiful decor and features. The hot tub was an added bonus and the wood burner was very welcoming when it turned chilly in the evening. The cottage is in a lovely area with nice river walks nearby, pubs and shops. My 11 year old daughter didnt want to leave, The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely recommend to others and stay there again.
Loved my stay here. .. surrounded by nature I felt in my element! The bedrooms have been updated since the pictures on Sykes & look even better now. The house is beautifully decorated & the beds are extremely comfortable. Stunning views from the front bedroom & gorgeous natural light to the front of the property. I actually missed the sound of the whistling kettle when I left... very cute!!! Also, would love to know where the oil in the tassel reed diffuser is from it smelt incredible! Thanks for a wonderful stay! Highly recommend

Excellent stay. Perfect getaway for a couple of days. Paula was very accommodating and provided such excellent service. The moment I made the booking on Sykes, Paula was in touch which allowed the stay to go smoother. Loved the decor all over the property. Property was very clean also. Would recommend to family & friends, and would stay again.

Drumraugh cottages was the perfect place for our new year getaway. The cottage was beautiful inside, with lovely decor and everything we needed for our stay. The beds were super comfy, the living room was cosy, and the hot tub was perfect. All exactly what was needed, after long walks in the surrounding countryside and sea side. The location is perfectly placed in a village with some nice pubs and trips further afield. Simon and Paula kept in contact to check everything was good! As a summary fantastic hosts and fantastic accommodation. Would stay again.

First impressions on entering the cottage! What can I say it was beautiful. The decor was very tasteful, the owners had put Christmas decorations up for us which were quite minimalistic but very tastefully done, I took a few photos for inspiration later. The kitchen was outstanding and with the underfloor heating was great on Christmas Day when we had family join us and we sat in the dining area while we cooked. The kitchen was well stocked and even had a very nice welcome pack for us on the first day and fresh flowers on the dining table. I spent time in the hot tub which was my first time ever in a hot tub, I relaxed so much I didnt want to get out. After years of doing Christmas for everyone else constantly on the go in one way or another I was a bit nervous at spending Christmas away from home. The only thing I had to do was walk the dogs and read. For once I have had a very peaceful Christmas. Our dogs loved the longer daily walks down by the river, they were a bit unsettled at first with strange surroundings but after the first day they settled really well. I would recommend the cottage to anyone for Quality and service. Thank you Paula and Simon for a fantastic stay.
Alison
We had a wonderful stay. We booked at short notice and are so grateful to the owners for accommodating us. This is a very thoughtfully designed house and has everything you could need, plus lovely views of woods and hills. Special mentions for the wood burner and the whistling kettle. Thank you again we will definitely be back.
Hayley
We have had a lovely stay, the property is immaculate. The bed is super comfy and decoration of the cottage was so pretty. A lot of detail has gone into making this cottage. The kitchen is well equipped and very stylish. We especially loved the heated flooring, log fire and the hot tub. The area is quint and quite with a shop in driving distance. We also enjoyed playing with the board games that was available. I've not got anything negative to say about this property other than the property owners live next door.
Loved our stay very peaceful. The house is beautifully done. The beds were very comfortable too. The location is great for adventures with the dogs, though be mindful that it is in a main road so keep the dogs in a lead when you take them out.
Beautiful cottage in a perfect location for exploring North Yorkshire and the coast. What really makes it stand out in comparison to others are the lovely additional touches like the welcome pack for your arrival, fresh flowers in the kitchen, and well stocked kitchen. The hot tub was amazing after a long day exploring and set in a completely private yard. We also found the information provided really helpful and the hosts were great and helpful any time should they be needed. All in all had a great stay and would highly recommend!
Malcolm
Our second, extended stay in this excellent cottage. Exceptionally clean, comfortable, well provisioned and expertly designed to ensure visitors have an enjoyable stay, we were immensely impressed once again. The friendly, thoughtful owners have invested a great deal in Drumrauch so that we felt very welcome and quickly settled in to enjoy the flowers and provisions that were there for us on arrival. We are very grateful and look forward to a return later in the year. Many thanks.
We had a great time at Drumrauch Cottage, Paula and Simon are fantastic hosts who ensured our stay was perfect. The house had everything we needed, the kitchen facilities were great and we thought the drawer fridge was a great touch. We made a lot of use of the hot tub during our stay, Paula and Simon ensured the tub filters were changed regularly. Hutton Rudby is a short walk from the house, we would recommend The Wheatsheaf pub for food and great service, the King's Head is also a nice little boozer We would definitely recommend a stay here and hope to return soon.

Had a really enjoyable relaxing weekend. Property is presented beautifully and just wish we could have stayed longer. Great location for exploring North Yorkshire. The village of Hutton Rudby and its surroundings were quaint. Would love to return sometime in the future. Thanks to Paula and Simon for sharing their home and being easily reached should any issue arise. The little touches made a huge difference. Loved it!!
Beautiful decorated and modern property. Lovely location. Hottub lovely and checks were done everyday by owner. Little welcome pack with milk, bacon, bread etc was very thoughtful and handy. Overall a beautiful cottage with lovely surroundings x
Judith
Gorgeous decor, very comfortable, and well equipped. A much needed relaxing getaway for an all too short 3 night break. A fantastic platform to explore the local area which has plenty to offer. Spectacular views from the front bedroom window. Owners unobtrusive but very friendly and accessible if you need them. Esme says thank you too!
Malcolm
A lovely experience. We were immensely impressed by the design aesthetic of the cottage. Considerable time, effort and money had obviously been spent on providing a high quality living environment with excellent furnishings and careful colour matching. The cottage was exceptionally clean, comfortable and thoughtfully prepared for visitors. This included a much appreciated and helpful 'welcome pack' as well as fresh flowers it was our wedding anniversary . The available but unobtrusive owners obviously want visitors to enjoy their stay and have done everything possible to ensure new arrivals can quickly settle in. Drumrauch Cottage is also very well equipped and located in an area that is full of varied attractions for visitors. We had an excellent experience there and wished we had been able to spend longer than just 4 nights. Many thanks for your thoughtfulness. Just one afterthought. Although this did not cause us any problems whatsoever, it might be helpful to provide some instructions for some of the appliances, which were obviously expensive but could easily be confusing for guests in different circumstances?
Sandra
We really enjoyed our stay here spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Beautiful decor throughout and a lovely welcome pack on arrival which was much appreciated. Everything was perfect for our needs . Thanks to Paula and Simon hosts of this lovely cottage and we would definitely book again if ever in the area Sandra and John July 2022

What a wonderful extended stay we have had Paula and Simon have been excellent hosts the cottage has everything you could need and additional extras including a wonderful hot tub. The kitchen is well equipped and our dogs loved the underfloor heating. Great views of the hills from the front and easy access to walking trails and the A19. Comfortable, clean and well equipped 1010 from us. In our view one of the best holiday cottages in North Yorkshire.
I was very happy with my stay in Hutton Rugby. It had sentimental memories for me. I loved the woodburner and the underfloor heating. The hosts were friendly and very helpful.
Amanda

A lovely cottage. Clean, comfortable and every facility you could need. My wife was very impressed and my young son and dog both give a big thumbs paws up for the heated kitchen floor
Jackie
This is a lovely cottage with all the facilities you will need. The kitchen is lovely and nice decor throughout. Had a lovely time there and the owners were really nice, friendly and approachable. It was lovely. The welcome pack was appreciated too.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, beautifully decorated and very comfortable, from the house we were able to visit many places across the moors. Lots of lovely pubs to eat out at. Particularly enjoyed our meals at the local pub The Wheatsheaf and The Sutton Arms, Faceby. would love to stay again in the future.

This is a recommended day out for families with young children visiting the Bedale area of Yorkshire.  Visit the farm and receive a warm welcome as well as a guided tour.  You will have the chance to bottle feed the lambs, bath a pig and handle some of the smaller animals.  Kids will love the big sandpit and the outdoor play area. There is also a cafe and indoor play area for when the weather is not on your side.

Situated in the Ripon area of North Yorkshire this popular theme park makes a fantastic day out for the whole family.  The more daring will love the big and thrilling rides such as Raptor Attack, The Ultimate and Trauma Tower.  For the little ones there are some excellent attractions such as Flying Camels, Dodgems and a Magic Wheel.  Toddlers will like the Dragon Boats and the Lightwater Express amongst other things. There are over 40 rides and attractions in total and we think this is excellent value for money too.  If you book your tickets in advance online you can save even more money and beat the queues.

Situated in Malton in North Yorkshire this has to be one of our favourite family days out.  It's a theme park and zoo all in one stretching over a massive 400 acres. With thrilling rides for the very daring like Cliff Hanger, Corkscrew and Kumali, there are also more gentle rides for the little ones such as Frog Hopper and Helitoys.  Family fun attractions include the 4D cinema, the lost river ride and the Little Monsters Den of Mischief. Check out their website for seasonal events which take place throughout the year and you can also gain more information about the zoo.  Flamingo Land is a resort as well as a theme park so you can also book accommodation there.

Castle Howard is one of the regions most beautiful and historic landmarks and is located in 1,000 acres of parkland with breathtaking gardens to explore. As well as exploring the castle visitors can enjoy attractios including the unique Land Train - the best way to see the entire park. There is also a large lake offering boat trips during the summer months. In high season the site is very popular with families and offers organised activities for children including tours, talks, crafting and animal encounters. The site also has a Nature Trail which is fun for the whole family and an Adventure Playground where children can run off some energy.
