Owl's Hoot Reviews

Absolutely amazing place, would highly recommend!
We stayed at Owl's Hoot for a week at the end of October. What a beautiful place. The owners have done such a fantastic job from the decor to the equipment supplied. Was like going home from home. The renovation was 100% faultless. Charlie was very responsive to emails etc. Although being in a tiny complex with three others barns, you felt like you were in the middle of a field on your own. Absolutely bliss. We are hoping to come back soon! Thank you :)
Awful
A few days before I was meant to arrive to the cottage I came down with Covid. They said we couldn?t have a refund and then said we were not even able to change the dates ( which was an option on the website we booked with and they have now removed the option) they?ve took ?800 of us and that?s all there bothered about. Absolutely awful hopefully they get their karma!
Perfect getaway
We stayed at The Owls Hoot 1st bank holiday of May and after lockdown, a weekend away and change of scenery was just what we needed. The Barns are amazing, the layout of all the barns has been so well done and are all very tastefully furnished. We had the extra benefit of a hot tub which was brilliant especially after a long walk. You are also allowed to bring dogs and though we don?t have a dog others during our stay did and they were all so well behaved and if we hadn?t seen them we wouldn?t have known they were there. Very quiet location, ideal for a break away and the local pub is only a 10 minute walk away.
This is a fabulous place. It was clean, modern and comfortable. We didnt watch the television but its a huge television. We liked sitting upstairs in the afternoon. The bed was really comfortable. We used the hot tub every day. The Stags head was our favourite place for food. We walked one evening, its very dark but the drivers were respectful and slowed down. We visited the coast and really enjoyed Blu Luna for lunch in Beverley dog friendly too. Unfortunately we had to come home 2 days earlier than expected as our little dog became very unwell, it was very upsetting. I contacted the owners and they were very understanding. We would definitely visit again though.
Best Christmas holiday we have had we go away every Christmas this tops them all the accommodation was perfect lovely surroundings and great food at the local pub the stags head. We highly recommend this accommodation many thanks and a Happy New year to the hosts from Peter and Belinda.

Lovely chilled out weekend, would recommend to anyone for a nice get away. Pub down the road also great food and good beer. Will look at coming back in the future. Thanks. William.

Owls Hoot was in a good location. We had beach days at mapleton and hornsea where we saw porpoises swimming offshore. we took our small dog and both the beaches and the local pub were very dog friendly. The Stags Head did delicious food and we ate there daily! The grounds were good for exercising the dog and had great views. Highly recommend!
We absolutely loved our stay at Owl's Hoot. The cottage was wellappointed, clean, tidy, and was to a high standard. We enjoyed sitting on the mezzanine with a coffee looking out at the fantastic surrounding area. Our sincere thanks to you all for maintaining the Hot Tub, which we used daily. We would have loved to have been able to leave our praise in the guest book upon leaving but there were no pages left! Thank you for a fantastic, relaxing stay. We hope to visit again next year.
Beautiful barn conversion and spotlessly clean. Very well equipped throughout. In an amazing peaceful spot overlooking countryside. Hot tub was great and sat outside for most of the time enjoying the beautiful weather.
Had a great stay. Very peaceful location with fabulous views of the countryside. The property is well equipped and has modern facilities. The Stags Head Inn serves great food and is dog friendly. It is within walking distance but more like 0.6 miles from the property a bit too far for an elderly dog but fine for able bodied humans! Would stay there again
Amazing, would come again.
We really enjoyed our stay at owls hoot and will definitely be going back there again. It is so relaxing and peaceful. I will be recommending to family and friends
Jackie
Lovely dog friendly barn . Some dog friendly places are a bit worn out and drab , not this place . Gorgeously laid out with everything you need for a stay furnishings beautiful . Quiet surroundings . Hot tub was amazing .

We absolutely loved our stay here! Beautiful place, super clean and comfy!! Definitely want to come again.
Me, my partner and my dog had an amazing week long stay at Owls Hoot. We will definitely be stopping again and would 100 recommend to anyone thinking of staying.

The property was absolutely stunning! The spec was modern and to a high standard, yet had a warm, homely country vibe. We took our 1year old Labrador, who was living his best life it was his first holiday and he is sulking being back home! There was plenty of field space for him to run around on even after having long walks around the local trails and the beach!! He still loved the field on the back! It was also a gorgeous view when having that first morning coffee! The only thing I wouldve liked, is a closed off space for the dognot everyone staying at the barns wants to be approached by a dog, so I was always cautious when he was out. However, there were no issues, the space was great we did bring the dogs crate, which he went in so that we could enjoy the wonderful hot tub! plus all the others guests were friendly and I appreciate how beautiful the courtyard is, so closing off areas might lose that look they are going for. The barn itself was very clean, as were the areas around the barns, it was beautifully peaceful and it was the absolute half term break I was needing! We would definitely recommend, with every penny, and we will definitely return in the future!
Fabulous stay in a fabulous barn conversion. Spa bath at end of day a welcome treat. Good location for visiting East Coast. Will definitely be staying again.
Superb barn conversionperfect for two people extremely friendly place and owners would highly recommend
An electric charging point would be a great addition to these properties as the ... An electric charging point would be a great addition to these properties as the surrounding area has very little if any charging points in local garages and would encourage more people to stay with the increase in electric vehicles becoming more apparent
Rebecca
Delightful place, peaceful and in easy reach of the local seaside towns. Property spotless and hot tub a plus.
Maxine
We stayed in Owls Hoot for a week with our dog Jeph and had a lovely relaxing break. The barn conversions are beautiful, Owls Hoot is small but beautifully designed, with the living room upstairs and views over the fields. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you would ever need plus it has a dishwasher, washing machine and small freezer. The bathroom has a large powerful shower and plenty of storage under the sink unit. The large bed is firm but very comfortable and there is enough wardrobe and drawer space. The hot tub was amazing and we used it first thing in the morning and in the evening when the soft lighting around the barns made everything look magical. There is a grassed area just outside and plenty of dog walks straight from the barn. The decor is modern, the barn was clean and warm downstairs has underfloor heating and radiators upstairs and we had a wonderful stay. We have just been talking about returning later in the year, we liked it that much. If you are thinking of booking, do so, you wont be disappointed
Lovely place with everything we needed and we had a brilliants weeks holiday.
We stayed here for 3 nights and it was absolutely amazing! The place was spotless and the perfect size for us and our dog. The Hot Tub was brilliant to chill after long walks and we spent every evening in it as well! We had such an amazing time and will definitely be back! Thank you for letting us use this amazing place!
VERY CLEAN , EVERY THING YOU WANTED WAS IN PROPERTY. HOT TUB WAS BRILLIANT ,VERY RELAXING. COULD NOT FAULT ANYTHING. NICE PUBS VERY CLOSE WITH GREAT FOOD. BEAUTIFUL SCENARY AND YOU CAN GET TO LOTS OF PLACES WITHIN 20 MINIUTES OR SO.
The converted barns are absolutely gorgeous with lovely decor and the place was immaculate. It had everything that we needed during our stay with the added bonus of it being pet friendly to take our dog along with us. Definitely recommend for those looking for a quiet escape.
Melissa
Owls Hoot had everything that we needed and more and provided the perfect location for relaxing after a day of exploring the surrounding areas. The hot tub was amazing both in the daytime and late at night and the Barn itself was designed perfectly and had a lot of personal touches which were very appreciated. Will definitely be coming back again in the summer!
We had such an amazing time and will 100 be back in the future!
Keeley
