Eagle Lodge Reviews

Amazing lodge with amazing views and outstanding hosts, Norrie and Muriel could not of done more for us if we asked. We booked for 2 weeks in July whilst there for 3 weeks over Xmas and New Year. The Lodge would benefit from the following a full size ironing board, smart TVs in all bedrooms, upgrading the sky box in the main bedroom to a sky Q box and also adding a sky Q box in the downstairs bunk bedroom this would alleviate the WiFi signal issue as this acts a a WiFi hotspot. Lastly upgrading the sky to a full sky package. Whilst these recommendations are a nice to have they are not essential as anyone who has or does stay at Eagle Lodge, Im sure will agree, what a stunning lodge to stay at. Looking forward to our July break there. 5 stars from me

Excellent communication and top quality!

Fabulous house with to die for views. It was perfect.

A great house in a jawdroppingly beautiful location, which, as well as being brilliantly fitted out for a seriously relaxing stay, is also an ideally placed base to explore Lewis & Harris from. The pair of whitetailed eagles perched on a nearby rocky outcrop one afternoon, was an amazingly unexpected added bonus!

Eagle Lodge is simply the best , helped in no small way by Location ! Location! Location! Uig on the west coast of Lewis is majestic, breathtaking and hypnotic, especially viewed from the hot tub on the deck as the sun sets ! A group of family and friendsincluding young grandchildrenexperienced the most enjoyable, idyllic and amazing fortnight in August 2023 that will long live in our memories ! We will return hopefully soon! The accommodation, facilities, and comfort of Eagle Lodge is of the highest quality and standard, and reflects in no small part, the warmth , welcome ,attention to detail, and professionalism evidenced to us by our hosts Norrie and Muriel throughout our stay! This is a not to be missed holiday property!

Excellent beds and bedding A Sensational Experience all home comforts Great views all around Lots of great treats, spa, sauna. Exceptional Value for a family or group.
This was our second stay at Eagle Lodge and it was just wonderful. .. again. Norrie and Muriel are so welcoming and helpful. The house must have one of the best views over the bay of Uig and you can wander down to the sands in the evening. The house itself is spacious, comfortable, warm and fully equipped with everything you need for cooking. The jacuzzi is great what a way to end your day, watching a sunset or seeing the first stars appear while you are in the tub. The place is also full of an amazing family history which encapsulates the history of the island. We will be back again next year for sure. The only negative note is that LHH don't provide a receipt invoice anymore. This is worth noting as the house is perfect for groups, but not having the appropriate paperwork for accounts can be problematic for any professionals wishing to use the lodge. hopefully this will change in the future.
The place was absolutely amazing, rare occasion where the photos didn't do it justice and the photos made it look incredible Muriel and Norrie were lovely hosts throughout and couldn't have been more helpful. Only thing I would add is button to start the dishwasher was a little problematic but such a minor thing it made no difference to our stay, only mentioning as thought it would be useful to know and keep an eye on.
We had a great time at Eagle Lodge, which was a great place to stay. The facilities at the Lodge meant we didn't want to leave, but the stunning beauty of Lewis won out. Norrie, the owner of the Lodge was great and when we arrived he explained everything we needed to know. We all really enjoyed reading the handwritten account the family and how they had survived in Uig. The location is beautiful and sitting in the living area or in the hot tub looking out across the bay as the sun set was incredible. The place was well kitted out and Norrie had provided us with the basic in way of food to let us settle in plus leaving some welcomed treats. Thanks so much for a great stay. We will be back.
Wonderful already booked for next year
This was an exceptional house in a beautiful setting. From the range cooker to the music system everything was top of the range. All worked well and the owner checked in with us during our stay to ensure all was well. Very comfortable and thoroughly enjoyable.
William
The house was as exactly described large and very well appointed with way more than the usual level of comforts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay despite the weather. The hot tub was used and enjoyed every day. We would be keen to return to Eagle Lodge.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Eagle Lodge and all of our group were really happy with their stay. Beautiful house, lovely welcoming gifts. The contact with Norrie and Muriel was great and we loved the history of the place. The house is warm spacious and comfortable with everything you need and more for cooking. The views over Uig bay are just splendid. We will organise another group stay there again next year at the same period if there is availability without bothering to look elsewhere cant give a better compliment than that.

We had a truly amazing holiday on the island of Harris and Lewis . But this house really made our holiday superb. Everything about it is fabulous lovely bedrooms with huge beds and space for lots of children too. The hot tub is situated to give a great view of the sands and the sunset. The sauna after a cold wet walk is perfect. And the kitchen and living space is so spacious and well stocked that you need not worry about anything the wood burning stove really warmed the place up on a particularly blustery night. We will be back I hope. Thank you so much to our hosts who were always very attentive.
Alison Woods
What a tremendous property and a wonderful location. The owners were warm and welcoming and made a huge effort to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay. Cant recommend it enough.
Susan Picton
What a really outstanding house and location! Could not have asked for more. The sauna and hot tub were perfect after a day in the Scottish outdoors. The kitchen had everything we could ask for. The beds were so comfortable. It was all just too short.
