Shore Lodge Reviews

It was a pleasure to arrive at Shore Lodge on a very wet and windy February night. I was met at the door just to make sure I was comfortable and knew where everything was. A delightful and imaginative welcome pack meant I could relax immediately. The Hot Tub area is very private and perfect for watching the night skies. Lots and lots of stars and a very clear moon... no northern lights this time. Loved my time here comfortable, spacious with a very well thought out interior throughout.

I would highly recommend Shore Lodge for the perfect holiday location. The cleanliness & comfort were second to none. It is an amazing home with lots of glass to show off the lovely views. The owner is so helpful and friendly and is very knowledgeable about places you can visit on the Island. The hot tub was fun. The bed and bedding were luxurious. Everything you need for a special holiday. Thank you so much from the both of us.

One of the most beautiful cottage I have ever stayed at and the includes the owner Rosemary. Every detail was perfect . I would love to return so day.
We had a wonderful week in this beautifully designed and furnished 5 holiday home. It has everything you could wish for. Lovely view out of the front which is all glass. Lets in so much daylight. The hot tub in the back is great during the evening after a day out exploring the fascinating local area. Rosemary and Mark the owners are a delight and do everything to make your stay enjoyable. Scrumptious grazing box welcomes you on your arrival and they are happy to help with any local information re places to visit. We couldnt believe it when our last day arrived. Still so much left to do. We will definately return to Shore Lodge.
Lovely fresh cottage accurately described close to STORNOWAY with costal views. Comfortable bed and seating, kitchen with smart appliances and all the peace and quiet one could wish for! Hostess really so friendly and warm and being brought up in Lewis had bags of local knowledge about every corner of the island just a gem!

Shore Lodge is beautiful, restful, calming. The view is wonderful, even on a dull day, and those floor to ceilings windows really make the place. Even though it is a 1bedroom place, it is so spacious and airy that youd expect there to be at least 2 bedrooms. The decor is so clean and laidback, which just adds to the overall feeling of calm. I really appreciated Rosemaries welcome grazing box, which kept me going for several days also the bread and milk, etc. I would definitely aim to return here, and hopefully for longer than my fantastic week.

We had a fantastic holiday at Shore Lodge. Luxurious finish and cleaned to the highest standards. Owners Rosemary and Mark were very welcoming and offered great advice on things to do and see during our stay. Along with an amazing welcome gift. Would highly recommend
Shore Lodge is the perfect home from home. It is comfortable, relaxing and has everything you would need for your stay. The owners made us feel very welcome and shared lots of information about places to visit in Lewis & Harris that we wouldn't have discovered otherwise. Would love to come back some day.
Beautiful property, ideal for relaxing and exploring the island. Fabulous host on hand to help with anything.

Shore Lodge was excellent. The only problem was the weather exceptionally hot but we were given an electric fan to assist. Great facilities, had a great holiday.
Hygge Isle of Lewis style. .. Absolutely spotless and so very welcoming. Entering this property is like walking into an inner calmness!! So peaceful it was very easy to relax and enjoy the space. Winter conditions outside just made it more relaxing.
This is a truly special place to stay. House is amazing with everything you need and more. Easy walk into Stornaway and other coastal paths and good base to explore the island further. Ferry 10 minute drive away. Certainly a warm welcome from the owners who feel like old friends and are so helpful with anything you need to make this a perfect holiday. We would return here in a heartbeat. Highly recommend.
Shore Lodge was perfect for my short trip to the Isle of Lewis. Very close to Stornoway and the ferry. The bed is incredibly comfortable and the linen so luxurious I had to ask what make it was. I'm sure it was why I slept so well. The Hot Tub tucked away in a very private area at the back is such a wonderful treat. Lashings of hot water in the shower which was so relaxing after a long day. The kitchen is so well equipped. I want to rebook for a longer stay.
