House was good plenty games well equipped in kitchen large living room plenty seating comfortable televisions room excellent. Down side beds very uncomfortable and hard showers cold hard to get hot water in all rooms if the bath is running no water in the showers or taps other than that excellent house large hot tub fantastic

We have just spent our annual family holiday (6 adults, 7 children plus dog) at this awesome property! The space both inside and out is fantastic. The original features, traditional decor and furnishings create a great sense of the history of the house. It is fantastically equipped and the cooks all enjoyed the AGA cooking experience which was a fi rst and added to the holiday fun. The owner gave us a warm welcome and is very contactable at all times. We all absolutely loved our stay here!

I booked the house for a family gathering and wedding ceremony as me and my husband got married during covid and didn't get to have our family there at the time. The house was so perfect for the 16 of us, we stayed a week and I don't think anyone will forget it! Our hosts were so friendly and helpful, they had everything thought out and it was all made very easy for us. We are so thankful to have stayed in such a beautiful place, words cannot give it enough credit! I hope we get to go again!

What a fantastic mansion! Stayed here with 15 people & two dogs and absolutely loved it. Such a great location, close to Moffat for cafes and plenty of walking routes nearby. The house was brilliant with plenty of space, bedding & towels, crockery & glasses and lots of games for the kids to play outside in the big garden as well as inside too. Woul d definitely love to come back again!

Fantastic weekend stay at Moffat Mansion. The owners have really thought of everything and we're incredibly accomodating and welcoming. Absolutely fantastic big cottage.. Hosts were great For a group of 16 there was plenty of room even to have space to yourself if needed. Weather was fantastic when we were there so spent a lot of time outside and in the hot tub. What a lovely house this would be for a family Xmas break, we could visualise it all done up. This is a beautiful big house with great big rooms and plenty of space for everyone. It is clean and comfortable. The balance between immaculate and comfortable has been struck very well making it truly like a home from home. The main drawing room and massive dining table ensure easy communal time. The big hot tub is really fabulous too, easily fit s 7-8 people, maybe more if you squeeze in. The hosts are super lovely down to earth people who were friendly, chatty and very accomodating. 10/10

We had a fantastic experience at Moffat Mansion for my best friends hen do this weekend. The house was fantastic and has plenty of amenities to keep everyone entertained. The house is gorgeous, with super comfy beds, loads of bathrooms and plenty of space for a big group. The owners couldn't have been more supportive and were so helpful in ensuring we had the most wonderful experience, from highland games on the lawn to fireworks. What a fantastic place. The interior is quirky and full of character. Lots of space and teh facilities are wonderful. The bedrooms are spacious, unique and full of character. The dining room is luxurious, the snooker table finished it off!. Outside space is superb, with putting and croquet on site, along with nice walks around the pond and huge gar dens. The river, with fishing rights, is a great bonus and well worth a stroll along! overall antastic experience. Thoroughly recommend!

We had the pleasure to stay at Moffat Mansion for a week. This is a beautiful house in stunning grounds but if you want modern this is not for you. There are so many rooms and bedrooms it takes awhile to find your way around. We felt at home from the onset and our four grandchildren loved the garden to play and run around in. The plumbing is a chal lenge and showers need to be taken in turn but this did not detract from the beauty of this house. The hot tub and games rooms were excellent.

What a wonderful time we all had here in Moffat Mansion as a family. We wanted for nothing as everything is amazingly equipped in every room. Honestly can not rate this rental high enough! The house was huge and fully equipped with everything and anything you could ever need. Photos do not do this place justice!!! The owners where fantastic, very helpful and just the other end of the phone anytime we needed. We held Christmas Dinner for 16 adults and went down a treat. Hot tub was large and very good. The pool table was a fantastic addition. The rooms where very large. We will deffinetly be back! Was a fantastic adults weekend away.

The house was amazing a we had a brilliant time. Loved everything about it. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners- who were lovely. There was 14 of us and we made the most of the house, we had a Murder Mystery-The Roaring20s ( perfect setting for it). A birthday party,an Hawaiian night and my daughter and her partner got Engaged. So basically need a rest when we get back. There was things to do for everyone. Lovely walks, towns nearby and we even did a scavenger hunt.

Mabie Farm Park is a firm favourite. Ideal for families with younger children ,this family oriented farm park has lots of animals to meet and also offers Donkey Rides, Paddle Boats and Slides as well as Trampolines and Bouncy Castles. Kids can run around on the Soft Play Area while mum and dad relax in the Tea Room. There is also a Farm Shop onsite selling toys, gifts and fresh local produce including cakes and jams. Seasonal activities can also be enjoyed including a spookly tea and walk on Haloween. The Farm closes for the winter on October 31st.

Kailzie Gardens - EH45 9HT

Kailzie Gardens are another popular attraction and are an excellent place for a day out in the summertime. The gardens are a peaceful and colourful place to spend the day with a wide variety of flora and fauna on display. Other attractions here include live viewing of the Tweed Valley ospreys, a Gift Shop where children can pick up a souvenir, a Tearoom serving tasty local produce and home cooked meals, a Children's Corner, Putting Green, and a gorgeous private 2½ mile stretch on the River Tweed where visitors can enjoy Fly Fishing and a Picnic Area.
