Wonderful stay at Shetland cottage. Clean and basic but just what we needed. Fully equipped kitchen. Great location with wonderful farm animals on site. Hot tub a wonderful added extra. Staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We cant wait to come back and stay again. Thanks so much.

Property as described and everything we needed. Road, track to it initially not good. I was advised to use alternative. Could have done with updating. Nowhere to hang wet costs, muddy boots etc. Quite old fashioned. Felt outside bit rough and needed tidying up. Position good for visiting places. Super scenery. Very nice and informative hosts.

Well kept property comfortable very peacefully owners very polite and welcoming look forward to visiting again r. d. meyer Rotherham.
Fantastic weekend away with my wife and our dog Baxter, the accom was marvellous, So peaceful. Lots to do around locally and fantastic walking trails for dogs and families alike. Majority of places in the small village further up at Kippford are dog friendly also which led us to have a great weekend away. Thank you and hopefully we will be returning in future. Jamie

A simple addition of picket fence gate around the cottage garden would make the facilities suitable. Particularly as the cottage is a dog friendly listing having an enclosed space is important to guests with dogs to keep them secure. Odd as all the other cottages had a gated garden, yet this one doesnt and instead you send an email about it not being enclosed after the booking.
The cottage was in need of general maintenance with cracked bath panel, light bulbs out in both bathrooms, no extractor fans in the bathrooms, very worn towels and only 4 set of cutlery and dinner set which meant washing up after every meal . No information on what to do if you had any issues, or leaflets on local places to visit or eat. The internet didnt work even though we raised this on arrival it only worked for the first day of our stay.
A good location and a good holiday, with welcoming hosts. Clearly there are issues about the maintenance of the private access road, but we have coped with worse. The area offers several good coastal attractions and has an attractive air with good local facilities.
Lovely little cottage in a rural location. Stayed for 2 nights with our 2 kids, WiFi didnt work at all which I was quite happy about but the kids werent too happy. It was advertised that there was a bbq so we stocked up with lots of bbq food only to discover there wasnt one at all and that this should have been removed from ad description. There were a few stains in the cottage, on the floor something had been spilled but not cleaned on our arrival, the silicon around the shower tray is mouldy but we were on a rural farm.apart from these small minor details it is a lovely relaxin little place.beds are super comfy, nice big bath with little complimentary toiletries. Lovely little hamper on our arrival too which was a nice touch. The hot tub is lovely too at night watching the sun set relaxing with a glass of fizz was bliss. Another highlight were the animals coming up to the fence to have a wee nose.the gorgeous pig in particular was a delight for the kids. All in all we had a fab stay and would definitely return for a relaxing break..we had beautiful 23 degree weather which just added to the trip

The garden we had did not have a gate for our dog to be kept in witch resulted in having to get in and out the hot tub to look for her as she likes to wonder ,also the shower needs resoliconed as it is mouldy ,I wouldn't recommend drinking the tap water also ,but apart from these miner things the stay was great with the land owner being a very kind man and very helpful when needed , kind regards ryan

Great location in the countryside, very peaceful with views to the coast but a few minutes drive from beaches and lovely places to visit! Bruce bonus was the beautiful weather!
Judith
Very clean. Bonus was that it had a dishwasher which was not listed . There was a welcome pack with a number of useful items including cleaning items and dishwasher tablets which were much appreciated. There is no DVD player which was listed. Some more cutlery and crockery should be included so the dishwasher doesnt need to be used as frequently.
We found the cottage excellent and really enjoyed our stay, however there were a few things you should be aware of There is no barbecue as listed The WiFi was so poor we couldnt use it at all it goes mention that the WiFi can be intermittent but it was even worse than that The enclosed garden was not fully enclosed. Luckily, we took a tether for our puppy which kept her safe and contained but we would have struggled without it. These things did not deter from an excellent stay but it would have even better if these things were improved. We have already booked to go back.

We love this day out in Cumbria where you're encouraged to "take a fresh look".  Some of the amazing animals you will get to see include the only Canadian Lynx in the UK and you will have the opportunity to help their Lynx Conservation Project.  The Asian Fishing Cat is also well worth a look - these cats are known for diving under the water and catching fish!  Other activities include fantastic flying displays and play areas for the little ones...
