Lavender Lodge New Forest Reviews

Wow, where do I start. What a truly magical place. We were initially greeted by a local sauced hamper, which was a lovely surprise. Th cabin felt like home instantly & we were blown away with the festive cheer around the living area. The beds were fit for royalty, every morning, we looked out of the windows to the running stream, horses squirrel & Read morethe local celebrity pheasant. The hot tub was very much used after a day out & about in the countryside. The cherry on the top was a tour of the farm. Hide

The welcome gift of bread, eggs, milk, cake & biscuits was very nice and the fresh flowers a lovely touch. The cottage is absolutely lovely. The decor was fresh and clean and everything we needed was available. It has a lovely decked area for outside eating and a BBQ. The hot tub is a great addition with a fire pit for chilly evenings and towelled robes are supplied. The cake, fresh bread, eggs and cava on arrival were a really nice touch (thank you) Th e location and surrounding area is beautiful.
Alison
Lavender Lodge is a lovely quiet place. Really comfy, enough room and plenty of equipment in the kitchen. The hot tub is great and its all very private. Nice to see the horses next door. Lovely area and walks.
graham
Lovely lodge in a great location. The family had such a great time.
Fiona
Lavender Lodge is so cute. The welcome pack was thoughtful and well received. The Lodge is very comfortable, once we got the heating working. You really don't want for anything. The only negative was the mattress was hard in both rooms. The duvet stiff and uncomfortable, in the smaller room and so cold at night. The pillows lumpy. We didn't have co mfortable sleeps and didn't feel rested. We probably would have returned as we loved everything so very much. But need our sleep.
Frances
A lovely little cottage on a working farm with friendly staff who are happy to introduce you to their furry residents. Easy to find, and a good location for exploring the New Forest with nice walks in the immediate surroundings. The welcome basket and hot tub gave the trip a special touch, and we loved the occasional neighing of the horses! The kit chen was well stocked too. Would happily stay here again.
Wendy
Stayed for a 3 night break with my sister and her husband so there was 4 adults. The single bedroom was made into a double so was much more comfortable. It was a perfect short break. Beautiful lodge with everything you need. A lovely welcome hamper. Great walks on your doorstep. Would recommend.
Brenda
Great location, hot tub a wonderful addition, everything you would need or want for your stay is provided. including doggie treats, a bed and a towel/
Jackie
Lovely place, with all you needed in the lodge. A great location. The welcome basket was a very nice touch and much appreciated
Adam
Brilliant little lodge right by the livery, with lovely views of the horses. The team at the farm are brilliant, just made us feel incredibly welcome and showed us around. My daughters got to help groom the horses. In a great area of the new forest with lovely walks nearby. Several pubs nearby. A decent grocery store is a 15minute drive, but there is a local store which has a few bits.
Melanie
We had a lovely stay. Really comfortable accommodation and the hot tub was an added bonus. Would recommend.
Sarah
Lavender Lodge is really well equipped holiday base in the most beautiful of locations with abundant wildlife all around. If you are looking to get away from it all look no further. We have had the most relaxed of holidays here and would love to visit the area again. Every eventuality has been considered from cleaning of the hot tub to dog bowls an d bed. Cannot recommend highly enough even though we would love to keep this gem a secret.
Lisa
We had a lovely time in the beautiful New Forest.
Dawn
Great little place to relax. Good outside space with bonus of hot tub. Well equipped. Nice walk to Fordingbridge (about 4 miles over fields). Horse and Groom pub within walking distance but uphill all the way back. Great to see animals roaming over the forest. Lots to do.
Ann-Marie
Such a lovely quiet lodge, the location was just perfect for us. We have a 2 year old and a 4 year old whos Autistic who just loved seeing the horses next door every morning. We were close enough to visit Peppa Pig World, Longleat, Marwell zoo and spend the day in Bournemouth which was great as long drives can be a nightmare. The hot tub was a grea t plus, our children enjoyed the bubbles and we managed to relax using it when when they were asleep. We will definitely be returning soon!
Sarah
The lodge is well equipped with kitchen utensils, plenty of towels, robes and Beautiful throws. Comfortable garden furniture and bbq (supplied with charcoal) on decking over looking the stables and field. A stream to the side attracted deer during our stay which was lovely to watch. Perfectly enclosed for dogs and children. Hot tub area with lights and fire pit made for enjoyable evenings. Sian kindly introduced us to the farm animals. The location of this lodge is amazing!!

We stayed for 4 nights and really enjoyed it - the place is clean and well equipped, comfy bed, , good space overall with peaceful surroundings. Nice touch with the welcome basket. We did a 30-min walk to the local pub (horse and groom) lovely food. Good access to the forest and easy to drive to other locations as well. The hot tub was great and we really enjoyed using it. Storm Eunice hit the day we are leaving and Hannah was kind to check if we were ok to drive back - we got back ok.
Emma
We loved this Lodge!! Very well equipped kitchen and a lovely cosy feel to the whole place. The welcome pack and Xmas bits for the kids were a really nice touch and very gratefully received. Plenty of towels and nice comfy beds, excellent location and lovely to hear the horses every morning! We had a fantastic stay over Christmas and would love to return one day. Lovely forest walks, lots of dog friendly pubs close by. The owner is extremely helpful if you have any problems, highly recommended
Pak
Great Location in the New forest!! Very quiet by the farm but not too far away from towns or the seaside which gives you the best of both worlds. Nice welcome pack from the owners and Lodge itself is great and have everything you need for the stay. Not forgetting the hot tub which is just fantastic !! Thank you very much!
Vincent
The lodge had everything we needed and the location was great. Hannah was very helpful and contacted us before coming to maintain the hot tub. Great walks and took us about 20mins to walk into Woodgreen where we enjoyed the village pub (Horse and Groom) to eat and drink
Kerry
A lovely spot in a most beautiful part of the country. A comfortable, well equipped clean property, well located for getting around the New Forest and the quiet and solitude of the property were priceless, we were able to totally relax.
