Solent Retreat Reviews

Carolyn
We had a lovely time staying at Solent Retreat and enjoyed the hot tub and walks to the beach. The kitchen was well equipped and perfect for hosting our annual Friendsgiving dinner.
Ian
Very suitable for a Rest & Relaxation holiday. Quiet & peaceful location, hot tub added that bit of extra luxury.
Sirpa
Nice house. As described. Need to have a car. Good instructions/communications.
Donna
Unfortunately the location wasn't that good, the road to walk to the beach was extremely busy and on a bend so for safety one of us had to run across quickly to check for oncoming cars, also the path was very narrow, glad we didn't have young children or a pushchair. Please also note that the beach is shingle not sand so needed to drive to another area.
Janette
The cottage is absolutely fantastic. Everything you could come need was provided. Hot tub was clean, the garden cabin provided my friend with privacy away from myself and my family.
Angela

Lovely house in good condition. Location is great. Near beaches and short drive to shops. Close to lots of places of interest. Great manual for using appliances-really helpful. Also recommended places to eat in the guest review book was helpful. House is dog friendly. We had a good home from home stay. Beds are amazing really comfy so had a good sl eep every night. Strict parking rules apply so be aware and comply
Jordan
We choose to come here for Christmas day as our house is far to small to have friends and family over, it was a lovely way to spend Christmas (with a massive oven to do all the cooking in!) Especially with a glass of bubbly in the hot tub in the morning! A well equipped house and beautiful surroundings!
Margaret
A really comfortable place to stay
Penelope
Good to have a separate log cabin and enclosed garden for our grandson.
Catherine
Lovely house, everything you could need. A really, really secure garden for our dog, this is not usually the case. House in a very quiet small private estate, Garden is beautiful and relaxing sitting in the sun. Not wearing shoes on the carpet was stressful as you needed outdoor shoes stationed at all 3 exits. You really need a car as there is only one bus route in and out.
Nicky
The cottage was amazing and the hosts have thought of everything that you could possibly need. We all loved using the hot tub and the cottage was in such a great location, most places we wanted to go and visit were only about a 15 minute drive away. The host gave us a list of reccomendations of places to eat and drink, all of which were great and w e had many enjoyable lunches and dinners out. The cottage was so homily and welcoming, we would love to go back and stay there again.
Nicholas
Really enjoyed our stay. The conservatory was a highlight. Very clean. A perfect retreat after cold spring walks. Well located to access New Milton, Milford and further afield, but you really need a car to access the property.
Jade
Bryan and Catherine have thought of everything. Their home is comfortable, cosy, fully equipped with everything needed and a real home away from home. A great property and lovely helpful owners.
Julie
We had a lovely week away, as soon as you walk in the house it feels relaxing and homely. It is really well equipped and comfortable. We all enjoyed spending time in the hot tub after a long days exploring the area. And the sofa is so comfortable to relax in the evenings
Jill
This was such a fantastic house, beautifully decorated and very homely. And also the best equipped house we've ever stayed in! The cabin was brilliant, the kids loved going in there to watch tv or play pool. The adults made good use of the hot tub after days out exploring the wonderful New Forest and local beaches. The garden was really pretty and got the sun all day long which was lovely to relax in with a glass of wine or 2! Can't fault anything at all and would love to return again.
