2 Stonerush Valley Reviews

We had such a lovely stay! The photos do not do the lodge justice, it was even nicer than we expected. We will definitely be coming back
Our stay was overall quite enjoyable with many positive aspects, including the spacious accommodations, pleasant weather, beautiful views, a secluded atmosphere, and the added bonus of a hot tub. All of these amenities were as accurately described in the listing. However, upon our arrival, we discovered that the cleaners had not completed their duties. This caused us to wait around before being able to fully relax. Additionally, it seemed as though the cleaners may have rushed through their tasks, as they had missed certain areas such as corners, door shuts, and the decked area. As for the site itself, the location was stunning and the grounds were wellmaintained. Unfortunately, we found the footpaths to be quite inaccessible. Even the lakeside walk, which started off promising, quickly led to multiple dead ends and ultimately forced us to backtrack. Could the attention to detail be better? most definitely, Would we come again? most definately.

We loved it at 2 stonerush valley Complete privacy and very comfortable ... We loved it at 2 stonerush valley Complete privacy and very comfortable surroundings Our only minor comment is the skylight velex window in the bedroom sun was beaming in between 5am6am This is not a complaint We will definitely be back
We had a lovely 7 days at 2 Stonerush Valley in April 23. Location is quite isolated 18 mins from nearest Morrisons but what you get is worth it total peace and relaxation. This particular property is one of the most private on site and not overlooked by others meaning my dog couldnt see as much so less barking!. We didnt leave for the first 3 days! We just enjoyed the property, sounds from the stream below, the birds singing in the trees and use of the hot tub under the starry sky. The whole site is so quiet that there is an abundance of wildlife close by, and with limited outdoor lighting on site it is perfect for star gazing! The onsite pub offers friendly service and good food and there are some incredible beaches within an hours drive on the north coast we visited Perranporth but there are plenty to choose from, all stunning. Wed definitely recommend this lodge, well equipped, tidy, daily hot tub maintenance service provided. A very comfortable, and relaxing stay. 100 recommend.
Lovely property fitted out needs perfectly. Hot tub was the icing on the cake to sit at night under the stars was lovely. Kitchen equipment excellent. Bed was comfortable. The only things I would suggest to make it even better and more practical would be 1 coat hooks in hall way so not left around back off other doors etc even over door hanger would be good. 2 microfibre floor mop this would help when bringing the dog back to mop up Paw prints etc. mop supplies not really fit for the purpose. These two things would just make someone staying able to keep the place even more clean as was conscious that when it rained our coats and dog made the hallway a little wet. Excellent everywhere else. Will be back.

My partner and I had a nice week staying at the lodge. It is very dark around the park and the lodges out side lighting is poor. However once we got into the lodge we were blown away by the size and modern spec. My partner got bite quite badly from the bed and we did email in where two housekeepers came round quite abruptly but this was the last night. The washing machine had a error code and the cooker far right button stayed on, all we reported. However the hot tub was lovely and nice to relax after a busy day exploring Cornwall. The book from guests in the lodge was a great touch we thank that.
The best experience we have ever had in a property. I am very lucky to of stayed In quite a few places over the years and I have to say 2 Stonerush Valley topped them all. The care and attention that has gone into the property and equipping it for visitors is second to none, right down to considering your fur babies with a dog bowl. The lodge, layout, equipment provided kitchenware, dvds, games, cards, outdoor seating, welcome pack hot tub and setting is perfection. Thank you so much for the most relaxing environment to get away from things. We will definately be back.

Honestly had the most amazing time at stonerush lakes! Everything was just perfect from the minute we got there. Was so easy to find and our sat nav took us straight there. We arrived a little early and that wasnt a problem, staff in reception were friendly and polite, helped me find where our lodge was and gave me a map of the park as my phone had just run out of battery! Would defiantly recommend and will 100 be returning!
I arrived late at the location due to heavy traffic on the M5 which was a lesson learned. Found the location quite easily and was immediately impressed by the clean and tidy dwelling a credit to the cleaners. I'm not a big fan of laminate flooring but thats personal choice. Everything was where it should of been and I immediately felt welcome. I was impressed by the peace and quiet the location provided and I was able to destress easily after just retired from a very busy career in the Police. I can't think of any negatives at all. I will certainly recommend the location and Sykes to anyone without worry. Thank you all for providing me with a relaxing week in your chalet
Christopher
Had a lovely time, roads very tight to the site, but as I expected in Cornwall to be honest. Site very well maintained. Out unit was really nice with views over a small stream. Parking area to the front is difficult to get to with a very, very tight left turn straight down. Only real issue with the property was in the bedroom, velux window in the ceiling had no blind so as soon as sun was up so were we. Wife said unit was probably due a deep clean but after long summer season was expected. In summary nice site, nice unit and had a lovely time
Wonderful stay, such an idyllic setting, peace and tranquility. Spacious, clean and tidy well equipped home for the week.
Alison
Really lovely lodge
Stephen
An amazing place to stay, the only let down was the sky light in the bedroom didnt have a curtainblind so we were awake as soon as it was light. Four poster bed was handy to hang a blanket on to block out some of the light for the second morning .
Chelsea
We had a lovely stay here!

Beautiful cabin in a beautiful setting, very well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay, very clean and also dog friendly. Overlooking a stream and into the wood the hottub was a joy. Easy access to Looe, Fowey & Polperro. On site bar and restaurant served great food and we were met with friendly staff who made us and doggo very welcome. Thanks for a lovely staycation.

Amazing property loved our little break, so relaxing and everything we could have wished for and more.
Very happy found this place but . . if you have allergies like us ,do not recomended this place , no fresh air because no windows just the doors , and the bedroom bed is awfull , cant sleep , feel back pain when wake up. We leave this property one night earlier because cant sleep any more . But place was nice
More than 2 toilet rolls and a single bin bag wouldn't have gone amiss given that we were there for a few days. Other reviewers have also commented on the remote for the TV in the bedroom being missing not the right one and we echo that point. Don't think the bubble button in the hot tub worked. Apart from the above points, the place is fully kitted out with everything you could need and the wifi is fast and faultless. It's a lovely quiet and tranquil destination and we enjoyed our stay. It was home from home! PS the Kitchen knives could do with a sharpen
This place was amazing! Went away for our 5 year anniversary and couldn't have hoped for a better place. Location was a dream, not close to any other lodge, clean and had everything that you needed for your stay. Only downside was the TV remote for the bedroom didnt work for the tv but its not massively important as you go to bed to sleep and not watch TV! Other than that, cannot fault the place and we will be back one day!
Yes. Unfortunately the tv remote I'm the bedroom did not control the tv, so we had to manually change channels on the tv itself. We were disappointed not to have outside lights, to sit on the decking at night, and also the hot tub at night. We feel this would add extra value to someone's stay. We also found that sat navs recognise Bocaddon, the farm on the road to Stonerush, as a place. We used to put this in to find our way back to the site. This would be a great place to recommend sat navs users to put in, as it's on the Stonerush road.
Would definitely recommend for location and the lodge we stayed at was great. My only grumble was the sky light in the bedroom with no blind. If you are a light sleeper and don't want to be woken as soon as daylight appears then this might not be for you. I had to buy an eye mask which also kept me from sleeping properly as I wasn't used to it. Other than that was lovely
Rachel
Location was perfect and felt so nice and private. The outside space was well kept and we were not overlooked. Apart from on the day of check out the engineers that service the hot tub and had to empty it etc were outside our lodge at approximately 8830 am. If it was a nice day we would have been eating breakfast outside and would have felt put out by staff on your doorstep. They also dumped the new linen on our doorstep at 8am. We felt that we were being well and truly turfed out. Unfortunately it was raining so we weren't outside having our morning coffee.
Stephen
Great location, especially the lodge. Only thing I would say is that the Hot Tub is looking a little dated not all functions worked. Perfect apart from that!
Douglas
The setting is brilliant we enjoyed it from the minute we arrived we can not fault the place see you soon
Our holiday at 2 stone rush wash excellent to be fair BUT ! We also booked a holiday at 1 stone rush which was due to start on the 9th April 2021, and lockdown wasnt ending until 12th April, I contacted Sykes and was told that I could go on holiday on the 12th but could only go for 4 nights which I was willing to do but I would still have to pay full price for 7 nights!!! When I asked why I was told it was management policy ! Absolutely disgusting ! I certainly wont be booking with this company ever again and have requested a full refund.
We had the best time. The cabin was Amazing. The staff couldn't do enough for us so friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was an added bonus the food was fantastic. The only moan was we didn't use the hot tub as much as we wanted too there wasn't much room to Move the lid off the hot tub and it was extremely heavy and difficult. How ever this hasn't stopped us wanting to re visit.
Whenever we want to leave the concrete jungle Aka London by far this is the best place to come. We have come here several times now and have never been disappointed. Staff are really nice and really welcoming. I can now officially say i consider this place to be my second home. We are already looking at booking another visit in November. I would recommend this place to everyone!
Katherine
Fabulous in every way.
Elizabeth
Private cabin in a lovely location. We loved the little stream than ran past the end of the cabin. The cabin had everything we needed, well stocked kitchen, toiletries in the bathrooms. We were worried about the tv and WiFi signal after reading some reviews but both were absolutely fine. The food at the onsite restaurant was excellent.
We was told to use the phone to call reception but there was no phone. The toaster was broken.
Rachel
Beautiful holiday cottage in an idyllic location, surrounded by trees and the sounds of nature, complete with river running just past the cottage. Couldnt have asked for better! The only thing was the DVD player, which may need replacing soon as the remote didnt work, so if you paused your film half way through there wasnt a way to get back to it. Minor thing though because we brought our laptop with us so it didnt really matter. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!
Louise
We were looking for a few days of peace and quiet and time to relax. We certainly got this. Beautiful, tranquil location with the added bonus of being able to listen to the birds and watch the stream running by. The lodge was stunning, everything it said it was. It was very well equipped with all that you need for your stay. We are already looking to see when we can come back!
Fantastic place. Beautiful setting with the little stream just out side. Hot tub with privacy. Everything was perfect. Loved it and we hope to be back some time.
We booked 2 Stonerush cottages this is not the cabin that we got. We were put in number 4 which was completely different to the one we had booked. I was slightly put out by this as it was a lot smaller and didnt have a separate kitchen area nor the 2 bathrooms that we had booked with number 2. Upon arrival the tv did not work, the hot tub did not work and we had a leak in the ceiling. Also to add to this the hot tub area was not private at all with dog walkers constantly passing by and staring in at us. We booked number 2 as it was set back and had a big wooden fence around the hot tub. The hot tub was repaired by about 2pm the next afternoon so it meant a whole evening and half of our day Friday we couldnt make use of it. When we reported the tv and the leak to reception in fairness the maintenance guy was round in 5 minutes however there wasnt a lot he could do to fix the tv nor the leak so we had to make do. We were hoping to book again with you in the summer but upon looking at the prices double what we paid for our stay this weekend. I couldnt justify this price for the level of disappointment of our stay. If I had wanted to stay in 4 Stonerush I would have booked it. The fact we looked at all the available options and purposely booked number 2 for its level of privacy and the large space and then were not given this lodge I think is unacceptable.
