21 Meadow Retreat Reviews

21 Meadow Retreat is the perfect lodge to relax. Great Hot tub maintained daily by a friendly and polite team. Lodge is clean and well equipped, with double and twin beds which both open on to the Decking and duck pond. Charteroak Team are amazing ensuring guest care is paramount. A Power Cut as result of Storm Henk galvanised them into action offering a lodge at their sister site. This is just one of many reasons we keep returning.
Lovely place. well appointed kitchen. Nice outdoor seating by pond. Reasonably secluded. Only small criticism is that the bath was to slow draining to shower in .the shower in the ensuite was fine though.
We had a fantastic weekend at 21 Meadow Retreat, it was such an enjoyable, relaxing, comfortable, and peaceful stay. The large hot tub was amazing, being well maintained daily and located in a secluded position with easy access from all the rooms. The lodge is located on a great plot, with huge wrap around south facing decking with wonderful scenic views. A superbly appointed master bedroom suite was complimented by a twin bedroom with long and comfortable beds. It has a very wellequipped kitchen with an enormous countertop making the openplan main room such a sociable space. The booking process with Sykes Cottages was very smooth. The Southern Halt customer communication has significantly improved since our last stay with the benefit of the onsite office. Cannot wait to stay again!

We enjoyed a quiet, relaxing pleasant stay at 21 Meadow Retreat. The property itself must have one of the best locations for privacy, the hot tub is a lovely addition which isn't overlooked. Customer service is exceptional contacting us prior to our stay, during our holiday & after our return to ensure we had an enjoyable time.
Fantastic Lodge with everything to make a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. Customer Service was 1010 Tracey was outstanding ensuring our needs were met. The hotub was serviced daily. If we could change anything it would be the two sofas as they are not the most comfortable. 21 Meadow Retreat looks over fields set in a quiet area not far from village of Dobwalls, close to the moors, with added benefit of being dog friendly. The Old Mill Restaurant situated at the sister site in Lanreath 15mins by car is well worth a visit. Fantastic food and service from Amanda and Tyler. Looking forward to returning for Christmas.
Overall presentation was good, around the edges things looked a little bit tired, ready for a bit of modernisation especially in the showers . We had to do a bit of cleaning around the kitchen area but thats just us. Trees and bushes at the back of the lodge could do with a good trim to give better views from the decking area and a brush to sweep the leaves away . Bit picky but at that price we have had better equipped lodges in Cornwall. Having said that we had a fantastic time.
The lodge is really good. I like the soft furnishings and well equipped kitchen. The numerous opening doors makes the outdoor indoor feel work well. The decking had several different options for seating and sun bathing . The hot tub was clean, large and was used daily. We enjoyed our stay very much. My only comment would be that the duvet on the main bed was too heavy for the time of year.a summer option would have helped. A small point in a great property.
Nice cottage with wonderful terrace, but the cleanliness was poor. The facilities in the kitchen was fine. Hot tube was clean, but both sofas in the living room were really dirty, we had to clean them ourselve before it was possible to use.

Stay twice a yr every yr at both southern halt and stonerush this is by far my best stay beautifully situated lodge very clean did not want for a thing hot tub was amazing compared to others Ive been in definitely booking for next yr only disappointment was the fact I had to come home.
Fantastic Lodge in a quiet location with great views. Charteroak Team are first class always willing to help even when looking for a local florist. Hot Tub was checked daily and provided a relaxing end to the day with the ducks in the adjacent pond. Simply Perfect, cannot wait to return later in the year.
Charlotte
Exceptional location, the lodge was extremely clean and the views were fantastic. Extremely peaceful. Would highly recommend. This is our 5th time staying at Southern Halt and 21 MR was our favourite lodge and holiday so far. One little niggle would be that we choose Southern Halt for the views from the lodge and hottub, however there are a number of bushes now overgrowing in front of the lodge and blocking the wonderful views. It doesn't make sense, I would definitely cut these back. Overall it was wonderful
Stuart
Overall cleanliness of lodge and site very good. We all enjoyed the stay very much.
Mrs Jones
Perfectly positioned property in a well kept quiet area, facilities are fantastic so well kitted out. We had everything we needed and will be definitely returning.
Mrs Breakwell
Very clean comfortable property. Well equipped kitchen. Hot tub was also clean and well maintained. The property site was very quiet and peaceful with a delightfull view . Easy access to the coast with a car. Ample parking for two cars. Large Morris ons 3 miles down the road. Wonderful holiday had by all.
Mr Davis
Really comfy, well equipped and well situated property. All in working order with the exception of the wine cooler which refused to decrease the temperature. Some nice touches, including books, a game and welcome pack but no DVD player.
Mrs Reilly
A stunning property that surpassed all expectations! The perfect home away from home with added luxury. Beautifully presented, clean and comfortable. In close proximity to lots of lovely walks and beaches. Will absolutely stay again!
