Lovely stay at the lodge, it t was clean and warm, very peaceful and the jacuzzi ... Lovely stay at the lodge, it t was clean and warm, very peaceful and the jacuzzi was great, cleaned and checked every morning by the Maintenance staff, A nice relaxing break, I would recommend it

This was our second stay in 6 Valley View this year and yet again it didn't disappoint. Fantastic welcome from Sally, Martha and the team with rose petals on the bed, bubbly in the kitchen and a lovely card for our Wedding Anniversary. Staff at the Bistro were also fantastic with a great selection of meals and drinks available. The only thing Stonerush Lakesneeds now is a small on site shop selling essentials such as milk, bread, etc.
The place was absolutely amazing! !! The day we arrived we had been left a lovely bottle of prosecco as it was our 21st wedding anniversary during our stay x The setting was so picturesque with lots of privacy and it was so quiet and peaceful. The staff were so welcoming and helpful The onsite pub was an added bonus which served incredible freshly prepared food. We will definitely be returning
Samantha
We loved our stay in your property. Everything has been really well thought out and everything we felt we needed to use was there ready for us. The beds and bedding were super comfy, as was the sofas which, in our experience, is rare in a holiday home. Beautiful setting, quiet and picturesque and loved the different seating areas outside. Hot tub was an amazing treat, couldnt get the kids out of it!
This was our second stay in this lodge and we weren't disappointed. Offering great privacy from the other lodges, the sunken hot tub was perfect and used a lot! The lodge has been refurbished since our last stay and was even more homey and stylish than ever and had everything you need for a great holiday! Love this lodge and Stonerush Lakes
Kimberley
The journey for us was so long but I can safely say it was worth it. When we arrived it was everything Id dreamt of and more! Such a beautiful lodge. Enclosed area for the dog to run around safely and for our daughter too. Nice and private garden area also for us to enjoy the hot tub. On our first night we went for dinner at the resorts restaurant and was lovely also. Couldnt recommend more to be honest.

Wow, forget about any of the previous reviews for this lodge. A lot of effort has gone into this property with lovely new furniture in the lounge including really comfy sofas. The refurbished Old Mill was excellent and all of the staff were very attentive and welcoming. We have stayed at Stonerush Lakes many many times before but this was by far the best holiday we have had there. Can't recommend this place enough and we have already booked again for our wedding anniversary in September.
No oven gloves in the lodge. Wheels missing off of dishwasher trays. French doors in dining room area dropped and gap when closed needs adjusting as sticking when opening and closing. No outside lights on decking, only a sensor light by the front door. Damaged outside plastic furniture New furniture supplied on 6th day of holiday. Rest of property was clean. Beds and sofas were comfortable
The lodge was very tired, cracks in most walls and around the ceilings it hadnt been dusted for ages there were paint damage to the patio exterior doors and also white hairs from a previous pet. The hot tub wasnt filled for our arrival and the welcome was a plant of milk wow!! Bear in mind that this was a birthday break for my wife not good. We were told 6 days before our arrival that there was going to be no bar or restaurant due to refurbishment and we had booked months in advance and even now theres no mention of this in their advertising poor! One of your agents is already looking into this situation with the owners and I am awaiting a response as I believe the owners have offered a 50 refund due to the hot tub not being filled, I think they need to reavaulate this offer. Needless to say we left early on the Wednesday instead of the Friday as booked, as I said before the whole reason for us booking was it was my wifes birthday and it had a restaurant and bar so we didnt have to leave the park.
The Lodge provided everything for an enjoyable and relaxing stay. Hot tub serviced everyday inc. Christmas Day. Having stayed a number of times we anticipated the Lodge to have had a Christmas Tree as in previous years, alas not this year though. It wasnt a show stopper as my wife is Mrs Christmas and wed brought additional decorations. The customer service was amazing from SallyLaney and the Team at Charteroak. A slight blip with gas supply which we understood to be beyond their control however surprised to read some guests were offered additional heaters and money back? Overall an amazing experience which keeps us going back.
Absolutly beautiful lodge, had everything we needed and plenty of space for our dog to run around outside and still be enclosed. Had an issue with the hot tub but we rang the number and somebody was out to us very quickly and fixed it within a few hours. The lodges are all kept private from each other which is good especially when we was enjoying the hot tub with a bit of music on too. I have no negative feedback for this lodge and holiday but if i had to say something it would be to get some more outside lights on the lodge and around the park as you can't see a thing.
Having stayed many times we look forward to returning to Stonerush Lakes and 6 Valley View. The lodge is superbly comfortable and well equipped. On this last visit we were disappointed by the levels of cleanliness, which meant before we could settle we needed to clean the Fridge, Cutlery and hoover throughout. We had previously reported the poor condition of the hot tub cover which has deteriorated badly. Credit to Christine who offered a clean part way through our stay assured the cover will be replaced. If your looking for peace and quiet this is place for you.
Deborah
Lovely lodge with good facilities, situated in a good position on the site. The only complaint we had was there was an unpleasant odour in the ensuite bathroom the smell seemed to come and go which is why we didn't report it not sure if it was the drains but smelt like boiled cabbage, not very pleasant.
Second time we have stayed in the lodge, we felt that on arrival although it had been cleaned it certainly wasn't spotless, all cutlery had to be hand washed as had food on some things, and the fridge had to be wiped out as that clearly had not been done. There was no fan or bluetooth speake as there was on our last visit, and having spent a large amount of money it was disappointing there was 1 spare bin bag and 1 toilet roll per bathroom! That being said great location, hot tub amazing, burger at restaurant out ot this world. So hope to be back again.
So good we tried to extend our stay but settled for moving to sister site at Southernhalt. Every stay has been exceptional, lodge is always clean and well prepared. Staff on site are polite and friendly. The added benefit of the Old Mill Restaurant on site simply adds to the stay. We will be back!
Annabel
Overall another excellent stay, but the standard of cleanliness has slipped. One of the pillowcases was badly stained on arrival, none of the burner plates on the hob were correctly positioned and there was dried food residue under one. Also, the hot tub leaked and had to be topped up daily. We informed the service staff who apparently knew about this before we arrived, which is concerning.
We had a lovely week at 6 valley view, everything is exactly as described. The hot tub was great, the lodge is well equipped and has all that you need, the lodge was very clean although if I was being picky the glass in the doors needs a clean much nicer to look at the view thru clean glass and so does the rug in lounge lots of stains but otherwise it was spotless. The location is very tranquil and most of the time all we heard was the cows and birds. Would definitely recommend a stay here, we visited Looe, Polperro, Fowey, Adrenalin Quarry, Golitha Falls and Bodmin Jail and the location is pretty central to all of them.
Again we have returned from an amazing week staying at 6 Valley View Stonerush Lakes. Our Lodge was well equipped and comfortable. The Old Mill restaurant provided quality food in lovely surroundings with great service by a dedicated team. Stonerush Lakes gives us everything we need for a relaxing stay.
All in all we were most impressed with Stonerush Lakes as a holiday destination and thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we would definitely opt to stay there again, it is very much a home from home. The complex is very classy with none of the cabins being overlooked. It is is set into the countryside it is very quiet and peaceful. Being very picky I couldn't give full marks for cleanliness because the patio door frame in the main bedroom needs attention and the outside glass around the decking needs a good clean. Everywhere else was spotless 5. Again being picky with regard to facilities, there needs to be an oven glove in the kitchen. There wasn't a coffee potcafetiere and there was a missmatch in crockery i.e. only two pasta dishes and two larger dinner plates. There was a very good selection of glasses and cupmugs though. I have and would recommend 6 Valley View and happily stay again.
Caroline
I met with the Director of the company who had to check the hot tub when Id got back from a morning out. Lovely guy who spend a few minutes going through the hot tub controls with me, great sense of humour and added to the stay! The guys that came to check the hot tub daily and read the water meter were lovely as well the whole stay was great and wish wed booked longer. The ladies in the restaurant were lively and welcoming as well. All round a thoroughly enjoyable stay!
Cheryl
Was really happy with everything apart from the fact that we were unable to use the hot tub until the afternoon before we left. On our first evening, we went to use the hot tub but only a few of the jets were working. We read that they were checked every day so we decided to leave it for the next day. We then checked again on the Saturday afternoon as we had been out in the morning and the hot tub was still not working we then went to the reception who said that they were checked every day and that the guys would be round in the morning. The next day when we returned after our morning out, the hot tub had been looked at. It looked like there just hadnt been enough water put in originally, as the water was now covering all the jets and all was working well. Its a shame that you are constantly told you have to wait for the next day for it to be looked at, when this is one of the main reasons you booked at stonerush lakes. Apart from the issues with the hot tub, we had a great stay, the lodge was lovely and would definitely recommend to others.
We had a fantastic stay at 6 valley view. Hot tub was amazing, lodge as described. Thankyou for a lovely break
Recent Stay at Valley View Stonerush Lakes confirmed why we enjoy booking through Sykes Holiday Cottages. To coin a phrase its does exactly as it says on the tin. Stonerush Lakes offer tranquility and lovely settings definitely not for the adventure seekers. Amazing restaurant on site with great fooddrink and excellent hosts. The lodge offered everything we needed with great views, hot tub in superb settings. The Sykes team have always been helpful and efficient.
Valley View 6 and Stonerush Lakes offer the perfect setting for a relaxing break. The lodge is well equipped spacious and light with benefit of a hot tub. The Old Mill Restaurant offers amazing food inc takeaway with fabulous hosts. Definitely one to repeat.
Kesley
The property was immaculate, even better than described and wonderful view. My family loved the hot tub. The site would benefit having a trail that was useable all year round as most of the trails were slippery andor muddy.
Loved staying at 6 Valley view. Great lodge, clean, comfortable and good quality. The only drawbacks were as follows 2 of the doors to the decking wouldn't open but others would so no big deal really. How tub cover strap broken and hot tub seemed to have a leak. Still great fun to use though. The pubrestaurant was not open meaning quite a drive to find food. We still thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would like to be back again soon. The lodge had absolutely everything you could need and is beautiful. You are a bit remote so not a place for young families I wouldn't think as not a lot to do onsite. The pubrestaurant definitely needs to be open. This may seem critical but it's not meant to be. Fantastic time was had by my wife and I and can't wait to return
Jennifer
Great stay, peaceful and quiet, our 2nd visit to these lodges. Not sure if the hot tub had a leak as the water level was low and we had to keep topping it up and the only other problem we had was the towel rail being constantly on in the ensuite bathroom, could t see a way of turning it off, so made the bedroom extremely warm.
The lodge was wonderful, secluded spot, very private, peaceful and well equipped. Lovely airy, roomy lodge in the heart of the countryside, added bonus of a hot tub to unwind in at the end of a days sightseeing. Great location, Polperro is definitely worth a visit as is the Golitha Falls as a change from a beachharbour day, our 14 and 12 year olds loved this place for climbing and messing about in the water. Looe is great for crabbing. Our only disappointment was that the onsite restaurant was closed due to Covid, but that cant be helped.
Rebecca
We absolutely loved it here, bright and airy, nice deck and location. just a few points that could be improved on and addressed..cleanliness was not up to standard, extractor fan didnt work, no tin opener and the patio doors are difficult to close. Great hotub !! none of the above impeded with out stay though. Just one more point the location of the lodge would have been perfect if there wasnt a path for people to use that run at the side of the lodge... i could not see any point in that path being there !! as there was other access.
It was a lovely break but definitely wasnt as clean as it should have been especially given the current climate.
Sharne
We had an amazing holiday, certainly helped by the week's heatwave but also the standard of accommodation. Everything looked brand new and was spotless, beautiful lodge in beautiful surroundings! The hot tub was definitely an added welcome luxury. My only very slight gripe would be the sofas, they were not very comfortable and gave my husband and I backache. Oh and also nonstick pans, they were horrendous to cook in and even worse to clean. Certainly wouldn't stop us booking again but upgrade the sofas and invest in some nonstick pans and everything is top notch!! Thank you for making our holiday wonderful.
Priscilla
So peaceful relaxing but near everything we wanted to go to and see
I WAS TOLD THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE WIFI WHEN I GOT THERE,THIS WAS SURPOSED ... I WAS TOLD THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE WIFI WHEN I GOT THERE,THIS WAS SURPOSED TO HAVE BEEN SORTED OUT BY MONDAY BUT NEVER WAS WHICH WAS A DISAPOINTMENT
Wonderful stay! Clean, cosy and comfortable. All the staff were welcoming and gave great advice, the food in the Old Mill was incredible. The lodge has amazing views with a welcoming and homely feeling. We recommend it to everyone.
The restaurant was very nice, it was great to see all of the local Cornish produce on the menu and behind the bar. I hope you keep it the same for our next visit.
Not happy that there wasn't any lighting on the outside of the lodge for the decking, especially as the site itself turns every single light off come half 9 so when we go to take the dog out for a quick walk before we go to bed at half 10 ish you can't see anything! No good for kids if you've got a pushchair as the majority of the paths are stones. No where for the dogs to have a run about. Bbq was broken, and to pay over 800 for something I would expect a bit of quality. Not even a cover over the bbq either so it was covered in bird poo.
We all had such a relaxing time and the reception staff were so lovely definitely will book again! First night we all chilled in the hot tub when it was 4 degrees outside it was lovely. Thankyou x
