Beautiful, well presented cottage. We had a very wet week in Devon, it was lovely to come back to a very warm, spacious cottage with a hot tub. The horses, cats, sheep, dogs all came to visit (in the field adjoining the property) during the week which entertained our two dogs! If you are looking for fish and chips by the sea, in winter season IlfraRead morecombe is your best bet! We have just spent a week at the Shearing Shed. I think its safe to say we all loved the cottage! Its spacious, well equipped and very clean. Big, well kept garden. It felt like home away from home. The welcome hamper and dogs beds and blankets very a lovely surprise. The hot tub was superb and very needed after a day of exploring. The Shearing Shed is a lovely place to stay just outside Combe Martin. It is in a great location with easy access to the surrounding areas of Exmoor, Ilfracombe, Woolacombe, Saunton Sands and Barnstaple. The property itself is big and spacious with plenty of room for 4 adults and 2 children. It is maintained to a high standard and is very comfortab le with a big garden, plenty of space to park and a great hot tub. We had a great time and would happily go back again.

Just stayed for a week in July. Beautiful house, perfectly located for exploring the area and a relaxing break. So much to do in all weathers. Our kids loved the 2hr guided sea kayaking at Surfside (Combe Martin) (theyre aged 14 and 16) (book early). Dog beaches; Westward Ho! (car park at Northam Burrows Park), Saunton Sand. Dunster castle & villag e (via Porlock Wier), Lynton and Lynmouth incl Valley of the rocks. Great visitors centre in Combe Martin. Recommend the Sawmills for food.

A great cottage with the added bonus of a hot tub (if that's your thing) Access is easy with a large parking area. The location is not great as its on the edge of a farm yard which has multiple mobile homes located on it which make lots of noise.So if you want a nice quiet secluded place to stay then this isn't it! Generally the place is great and very large and spacious. Facilities were good and a nice little welcome pack when we arrived. Not sure we stay again due to the noise.

Just returned from a week in the shearing shed, what a place in the most wonderful picturesque setting! Everything was faultless from cleanliness to equipment provided. This really is a gem of a place to stay if your looking for a relaxing holiday and we will definitely return for another visit. Also great to have a large enclosed garden for the do g to run around. Overall fantastic place and great value.

Lovely cottage, well equipped. Beautiful location. It was perfect for 4 adults and 2 children age 7 and 3 lots of space. Bedrooms beautifully decorated. Hot tub was lovely and was perfect at the end of the day to chill in. Garden was brilliant for our grandsons to play in safely.We were there for 2 weeks and we had new towels and bedding for our 2n d week. We are thinking of booking again for next year.

We were all so happy with the cottage. The amenities were spot on, everything thought about down to the smallest detail. The house and garden was spotlessly clean, and beautifully presented Layout is lovely, the setting is gorgeous, and the garden is secure, which was important for us with a toddler. Lovely place and very spacious. Log burner and hot tub really make the place. Very impressive round the clock heating and space for dogs and children to play however, I would Request for the hot tub to be prepped the day before arrival and put at 38 degrees as we lost out on the first day. Our autistic child didn't understand it was too cold to ent er the first day WiFi not great either so ensure plenty of data on phones. I work from home so this was quite important for us We would stay again

Just spent a totally relaxing week at the Shearing Shed. The property has everything we needed. Maybe more wardrobe and drawer space in all bedrooms, but for 2 of us it was fine. Second time we have stayed there and would love to return again

It was nice waking up to see the sheep and ponies and the 3 buzzards flying around above us, at times were interesting to watch. Hot tub was a bonus which we all enjoyed. Very well equipped with every kitchen utensil you can think of, washer, dryer, indoor drying rack, outdoor clothes line, blankets, hot tub towels...... better euipped than my home :) Lovely quiet location within easy reach of Combe Martin and surrounding towns and vllages. As well as the amazing animals to experience there are regular fun activities such as face painting, daily events and zoo trails.
