Dragonfly Wild Meadow Cottages Reviews

Cottage was home from home, very welcoming and comfortable. Owners extremely accommodating and helpful.

I would recommend this cottage without saying hesitation. We were made to feel very welcome, on arrival there was flowers, lovely cakes and a bottle of prosecco, so thoughtful and although never met Lin, I spoke to her and she was lovely, Rob we met and he was friendly and so helpful. The cottage was immaculate and furnished to very high standards, the hot tub was great. The whole holiday was very relaxing . Thank you Rob & Lin. Definitely 5 stars from the Beech Family.
Tim
We have been holidaying in cottages for the past 10 years and I can say that this was by far the best we have stayed in. Every detail of the holiday cottage was to the highest standard. The cottage was impeccable, its location, only 10 minutes outside of Weymouth and 10 minutes from the A35 was perfect. As a dog owner there were walks straight outs ide the cottage with no traffic to worry about. Every little detail was catered for. Thank you Lin & Rob for a fantastic time.
Tracey
Our second visit to this cottage and it didnt disappoint! Great location with so many attractions & activities local. The cottage has absolutely everything you need for a great stay, but the owners are about if you need them, but give you loads of privacy. The garden is a lovely space to relax in the piece and quiet, and is fully enclosed for your dog to enjoy. The covered hot tub area is a great asset, no matter what the weather.
Helen
This is probably one of the best cottages Ive stayed in. It had everything we needed. The bed linen and bath towels were lovely and fresh smelling. The beds were very comfortable. The dual aspect windows helped get a good air flow through on hot days. The kitchen, living and dining areas were well equipped and laid out. Outside there are plenty are seats for enjoying al-fresco eating and drinking. TV channels were a bit limited - a Sky basic package would be a great addition.
Aimee
We had a lovely stay, Lin & Rob were very welcoming! Also very helfpul and fixed issues quickly. Fizz on arrival was welcomed after a long drive and the cake was yummy. It is in a stunning setting close to Weymouth and Dorchester. Cottage itself is a great size, comfortable and homely. Garden is well kept and very secure for the dog. Loved the hot tub, biggest we have been in. Some great walks from the doorstep too, only thing missing is a pub along the way.
Debbie
The best cottage we have stayed at, everything you need is there and had been thought about by the owners. The welcome touches on arrival was such a pleasure to receive. The best beds and a welcome hot tub to relax in after a day out. It was the best of both worlds , rural setting and the coast easily accessible. Weather was beautiful so we didnt n eed to use the log burner but we could imagine it being cosy when on.
Linda
Dragonfly cottage is in an idyllic position, perfect for walks with your dog. The cottage is beautifully appointed, very comfortable beds and bed linen. The hot tub, and gardens private and great for relaxing in the sun or shade. Minutes away by car to supermarkets, and the beach, making trips out easy.
Dee
The cottages have everything you need for a relaxing , stress free break. The properties are well maintained and cared for and the fixtures and fittings are of a high quality standard. There are a lot of little personal touches added that make the whole experience perfect

The house was absolutely perfect and being welcomed with brownies and sparkling wine was a very nice touch. We loved the hot tub and seeing the cows first thing in the morning. Dragonfly was an exception property and provided all we needed for our stay and more. The prosecco, chocolate muffins, flowers and personalised message was very welcoming. The hot tub was checked every day and the free standing bath was a great treat. I would have no problem with recommending this property and will be booking again to return.

Lovely cottage, great location on a quiet country lane. The house was very spacious and well equipped. It was decorated nicely. 20 minute walk to Upwey train station and 10 minutes to a local bus route. Plenty of places to walk with a dog and a lovely stream close by for a paddle to cool down.

This was the second time we have stayed at Dragonfly Cottage & it was 5 again. We were greeted by some welcome back treats; freshly made cakes, fresh flowers and a bottle of chilled Prosecco. The property is luxury yet homely. We had robes to wear, plenty of wood for the wood burner and a beautiful Christmas tree! The property is in a great locati on & the outside hot tub area is perfect for nights in. Lin, Rob & their daughter are so welcoming & friendly. We cant wait to book our third stay!

I would highly recommend Wild Meadow Cottages. We stayed in Dragonfly and could not fault it. A lovely welcoming pack of Prosecco, home made cake and fresh flowers and a perfectly equipped cottage with a home from home feeling. After our days sightseeing it was the perfect place to retreat to and the hot tub was a lovely bonus after lots of walking . The owners were lovely too and there to help if we needed anything during our stay at Dragonfly cottage.
Alison
Dragonfly Cottage is by far, the best self-catering accommodation we've ever stayed in. All the little extras made it a "home from home". Owners (Rob & Lin) have literally thought of everything to make this spacious cottage stand out above all others with quality furniture & fittings throughout. We had a very warm welcome with fresh cut flowers, de licious home-made cup cakes plus an iced bottle of bubbly! Beautifully planted gardens provide a tranquil space & the hot tub was extremely relaxing.
Tracey
Lovely cottage down a quiet lane, but in a great location. Everything was of a high standard and all very clean. Owners were on hand if needed , but plenty of privacy. Hot tub was amazing in the evening.
Nigel
Lovely cottage, very well equipped. Owners very attentive. Hot tub a welcome addition each evening. We really enjoyed the welcome pack.
