Keets at Middle Acre Reviews

Absolutely terrific! Shepherds Hut is perfect for a relaxing break. Michelle & Roger are so lovely and very helpful with offering fruit & salad grown in the polytunnel and off the trees! Hot Tub, barbecue and hammock are all great to use and relax. Yes will definitely return here Could not fault at all! Thanks Roger & Michelle
We had a fab time, the pictures dont do this place justice. The hut had everything we could have wanted and more, local home grown fruit and vegetables and hosts which couldnt do enough for us, telling us about the local area and even driving us to places. The beach and pub were in beautiful walking distance with lovely views. We will definitely be back!!
Edward
What a fabulous place, peace, calm and serenity in a beautiful environment. Michelle and Roger are fantastic hosts and really make you feel at home with a warm friendly welcome. The shepherd's Hut is well appointed with everything you need and is so cosy and comfortable. There is everything you need for outdoors, hammocks, loungers, bbqsmoker and a great hot tub. Do check out the rest of the place too, there are many seating areas and a wooden hutsunroof kitted out with comfortable seating, complimentary drinks, books, suggestions for things to see and do in the area. All in all, 10 out of 10, will definitely go again. Thank you Michelle and Roger.
Hannah
Such a lovely surreal stay. Partner and I enjoyed, will be back x
This is the second time we have stayed at Keets. As always Roger, Michelle and Bee the dog are the perfect hosts. The little hut is a perfect getaway for anyone wanting peace and quiet. We will definitely be back xx

We were new to this kind of holiday so wasnt sure what to expect the ... We were new to this kind of holiday so wasnt sure what to expect the shepherds hut was exactly as described the bed was super comfortable and the owners very helpful lots of nice little touches we will definitely be returning very soon
We had an amazing few days away in the solitude of the Dorset countryside. Michelle & Roger furnished the property spectacularly with everything you could need, and we even had an eyeopening tour of some of the local area, including cows! It's a great location, far enough away from the main roads to feel secluded, yet close enough to Weymouth & Dorchester for any shops or supplies. We will seriously be considering returning next year!
The hut was amazing so clean and the bed was so comfortable even the pillows. The hot water came on straight away which was great. Parking wasn't a problem also very easy to find. The walk to the smugglers inn was easy. The hot tub was lovely to. My only negative which is a tiny negative was the fridge was noisy when trying to sleep But we had a great stay and was made to feel very welcome.
Lovely friendly hosts and a gorgeous little hut with all mod cons despite being pretty much off grid highly recommend !
Lovely property. Michelle and Roger were really helpful and welcoming. We had a great stay.
My partner and I were pleasantly surprised by the amazing reception on our holiday. The hut was spotless and we had plenty of hot water for showers. Our only downside would be that we expected to be more secluded which was an unfortunate discovery, however the owners left us to it which was really nice.
Thanks Michelle an Roger for a wonderful weekend! Perfect hosts who made us feel very welcome.
A thoroughly enjoyable stay in a lovely location and something different staying in a modern Shepherds Hut. Michelle and Roger were great hosts and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Highly recommended !
Shannon
Our hosts were amazing and gave us some good advice of where to go and were super friendly! The hit was kitted out with everything we needed and more! We wished we could have stayed longer!!!
Alison
We had a brilliant stay and loved the hut with the really comfy bed. The little kitchen was awesome with all the equipment we could need. The shower was great and the wood fired hot tub and garden were awesome. We loved every minute of our stay. The hosts had thought of everything to make our stay perfect.
Had a lovely stay at Keets. The Hut and facilities are absolutely first class and the hosts lovely. Parking was no issue with the whole site being secure. From a location and setting point of view, the location is very relaxed and peaceful, and within a mile or two beaches, walks, pubs... Thoroughly recommend!!
We were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the facilities. It has everything you could need and is in a quiet location. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful, going out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. We have visited quite a few similar accommodations and this was by far the best. Thank you guys
We absolutely loved our stay at the Keets at Middle Acre. After a pretty shocking stay at a dreadful hotel the night before we had the luck of being able to stay here and at short notice! Michelle and Roger made is feel very welcome and relaxed. It was very much what we needed. The log fuelled hot tub was absolutely fantastic. A short country walk to a pub. The bed was the comfiest we have stayed in! Will definitely be going there again soon! Xx
Very cosy shepherd's hut with an amzingly comfortable bed. The woodfired hot tub was a great attraction after strolling about the beautiful coastline and hills, and the smoker BBQ was an added bonus. The hosts, Roger and Michelle, were very friendly and helpful, and their dog Bee and the poultry provided unepxected entertainment. Would thoroughly recommend.
Absolutely wonderful stay! Michelle and Roger and Bee! are the friendliest hosts. Such a lovely quiet spot. You're not overlooked by anyone but it's close enough to the real world that you can walk to the pub. Hot tub under the moonlight is a must Cannot fault this place from the comfiest bed in the world to the marshmallows for toasting this is the perfect getaway to escape a hectic life! We didn't want to leave!
Dianne
We had a wonderful few days here. The hut is beautifully compact. We particularly enjoyed the wood burning stove and hot tub. The owners were incredibly nice & helpful and Bee was a delight. We are walkers and found plenty to keep us occupied, walking over to The Smugglers is a must on a fine evening. Unfortunately we had to cut our holiday short but definitely we will be back.
What a wonderful place , Shepards Hut was lovely & everything you need was thought of. Michelle & Roger were perfect hosts , we would definitely love to go again.
We absolutely loved our time here! Perfect hosts who made us feel very welcome and a beautiful hut which is just beautiful inside and out.. the little touches like the milk, cider and mostly the marshmallows for roasting made us smile and feel like we would definitely return one day! Loved it!! Thank you for letting us stay x

We had a fantastic time. Lovely walks and fantastic scenery. Michelle and Rodger where brilliant host nothing was too much trouble. The shepherd hut was lovely clean and fully equipped. The hot tub was amazing. We will be back soon.
We had such a wonderful week at Middle Acre! It was such a fantastic experience and we will definitely be looking to stay again in the near future! We absolutely loved everything about our stay from the quirky hut, to the log burning hot tub, to the sites nearby, it was just fabulous! We managed to visit a nearby site called Durdledoor whilst on our stay and was absolutely blown away definitely a must see if you stay here or nearby! We finished our stay with the walk that was recommended by the hosts and again, it was just fantastic! Everything about our stay was brilliant and it provided us with the perfect opportunity to have a week away from the outside world. A massive thank you to both of the hosts for making us feel so special throughout our stay and for providing such a super experience! We will definitely be visiting again when we next get the chance!
The hosts were brilliant, the weather was kind and the peace and quiet was just what we needed. .If a wind down is what you require, a week in a shepherds hut comes highly recommended. Cant wait to return, perfect in every way .
We had a really lovely stay in the shepherd's hut, it was cosy, well equipped, clean and tidy. The hosts were friendly, helpful but not intrusive. Beautiful part of the country, really peaceful.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hut was immaculate and very comfy. Could not fault it. Brilliant hosts, made us feel very welcome and were very helpful.
We absolutely loved our stay! We came for a week, and even in the downpour weather, we had a very special stay. Peaceful and beautiful surroundings, and located very close to the sea. The hut itself was beautifully presented, with lovely eco bath products, and the bed was unexpectedly comfortable! Michelle and Roger were wonderful, helpful hosts who shared so much useful info, alongside fascinating history of the local area they've created a really special place with a magic touch that you don't find in many places. We would love to come back!
We absolutely loved staying at Middle Acre, the shepherd's hut was beautiful, amazing attention to detail, and a wonderful secluded spot. Great pubs and walks nearby. Lovely hosts who were on hand and very generous.
Joanne
This was such a lovely shepherds hut, we really enjoyed our stay. We had a lovely welcome when we arrived, Michelle and Roger both gave us all the info we needed and were really helpful. The hut is incredibly well equipped, as well as having ample private outdoor space and set in lovely grounds. We were very lucky with the weather and were able to use the BBQ to cook in the evenings, but had we not been, the kitchen has a gas ring and plenty of pans that it wouldn't have been a problem to rustle up something easily. The fact that Keets is 'off grid' was great, no TV or wifi, so we could really switch off. The wood burner kept us toasty in the evening and the hot tub was a delight after a long day of walking along the SW Coast Path. Keets is really well situated for access to the coast path so you don't have to drive anywhere and only a short walk to the local pub. I'd definitely recommend staying. Amazing hosts and perfect accommodation, can't wait to plan another trip soon.
A beautiful little shepherds hut in idyllic Dorset countryside, and a lovely 40 minute walk takes you to the stunning coastline An absolute gem of a place, pristinely maintained by the exceptionally kind and generous hosts who made sure we had everything we needed to make the most of a long weekend in tranquility. Thanks very much! Nature lovers or those looking to get away from it all would struggle to find a better place to go Sykes booking system worked, and we didn't have any problems
Everything was perfect !
Josephine
We loved staying in the gorgeous Keets shepherd's hut at Middle Acre farm. It was the perfect balance of rustic nature with luxury! The hut is small but so perfectly laid out, every bit of space is used effectively and the lovely owners have provided absolutely everything you could possibly need. They were also super friendly and helpful, providing tips for us useless city dwellers on how to set up the wood burner and also giving very clear instructions for local walks. We didn't use the hot tub in the end but it looked absolutely gorgeous. We explored the local area a bit and the pebbly beach is lovely but most of our time was spent enjoying the hut, lying in the garden reading, toasting marshmallows on the firepit and cooking a feast on the BBQ. As the listing says there is no wifi which is all part of the fun 'off grid' experience but there is perfectly good mobile and 4G signal if needed. The hosts kindly provide all the essentials you need for cooking, plus fuel for the wood burner, BBQ, firepit and hot tub. There was very reliable hot water and a lovely fully functional bathroom with a great shower we couldn't believe they fit all of that plus a lovely comfy double bed into such a small space! We'll be back as soon as we can.
Rachel
Our stay at Keets Middle Acre was exceptional. Michelle and Roger were outstanding hosts and made our time There memorable and we will 100 be going back. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and very cosy we couldnt have asked for anymore.
