Napier Farmhouse Reviews

Beverley
The owners were incredibly helpful in making the property ready for us with less than 3 hours notice due to a problem with the place that we had originally booked.. The farmhouse was quirky and lovely and very welcoming for our children and dogs. We had everything we needed
Frederick
The farmhouse is set in beautiful grounds, and the hosts were very lovely. Cannot thank them enough.
Kevin
Napier Farmhouse is a beautiful old building with modern conveniences. The children loved the swimming pool and the hot tub. The garden is enclosed so dogs and children can run free. We were three generations and it suited us all. We were only sorry that the promised Minterne House tour by Lord Digby did not materialise.
Lindsey
The hosts were so generous with the sharing of the pool, tennis court and guided tour, as well as the welcome goodies. I can think of nothing they could improve upon - we spent an absolutely brilliant 3 generational weekend - everyone was truly happy, which is quite an achievement with ages between 2 and 78!
Rosemary
A lovely old house, very comfortable and masses of room to spread out. We were made to feel very welcome by Lord Digby and his staff. Well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, and an eclectic range of old furniture that added to the feeling of history. Books everywhere! Garden is private, lots of chairs and a huge table for outdoor dining - and the large hot tub is wonderful! Nearby swimming pool is a good size. We enjoyed exploring the Himalayan Gardens and cream tea of the terrace afterwards.
Clare
We had a fantastic holiday, Henry and Sarah were very welcoming. The house was perfect for the nine of us and the facilities were great. We loved the swimming pool, tennis court and hot tub and the Minterne House grounds were beautiful. There was plenty to do in the area and we did a great walk into Cerne Abbas.
Rhiannon
We had a wonderful stay a very comfortable house from which to explore. 40 mins to lots of different beaches and the beautiful Minterne gardens on the doorstep.
Robert
Beautiful house on a lovely estate with bags of character! Tennis court and swimming pool were fabulous.
Wendy
We had a wonderful time in the cottage, the gardens were spectacular, all in all we had a great experience, Lord Digby was a very amenable host, we loved the tour, and the cream tea after!!! A big thank you to him, we did leave a message of things ' to do' in the cottage,

Monkey World - BH20 6HH
about 15 Miles
Monkey World is not only a local attraction but the work they carry out is amazing.  Rescuing and rehabilitating monkeys and assisting governments around the world to stop the smuggling of primates are just some of the purposes of the centre. You get to see the primates themselves many of which have become famous from appearing on the TV show Monkey World - a documentary about this place. Open year round we think this is one of best attractions in Dorset and you even get the chance to adopt a monkey if you choose.

The centre also offers visitors an educational experience with talks and hands on events taking place daily.
Longleat Safari and Adventure Park - BA12 7NW
about 25 Miles
You may have seen this amazing attraction on the BBC1 Animal Park programme.  This is actually the first safari park outside of Africa where you can get close to the animals from the comfort of your own car. Some of the highlights include the zebras, the wallabies in wallaby wood and the sea lion escorted cruise to Gorilla Island.  And of course the magnificent lions and tigers are a must see.  This really is an animal experience with a difference and you can save money by booking your tickets online.  This attraction is open until the end of October. Check out their website to see some fantastic video podcasts of the park.
