Pheasant Lodge at Chapel Lodges Reviews

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay, Kellie and Steve were fantastic hosts, communication was superb and they met us on arrival to explain how the hot tub worked. There are loads of facilities at the lodge which make every penny of the stay worthwhile, coffee machine, tea, locally made biscuits and chocolate and plenty of board games for an intimate romantic weekend away. We didn't indulge in the country walks around the grounds but that was because we couldn't source any suitable footwear Wellies for doing so. Kellie & Steve informed us of all the different locations we could walk to with seating areas and heating facilities at each one. The area is lovely, and the food and staff at the nearby pub were equally wonderful. We really had the best weekend and can't thank you enough.
Thank you once again Kellie and Steve. This was our second stay at Pheasant Lodge and it was just as wonderful as our first visit. We love everything about it and we go home feeling very relaxed. It is so peaceful and the hot tub is a dream. Hopefully we can return for a third visit in 2024. Helen and Dave

We had a very pleasant stay at Pheasant Lodge despite some dramatic weather. The accommodation was exactly as described. It was compact but luxurious. The surroundings were wonderful. The owners Kellie and Steve were helpful and friendly, without being intrusive. We've already recommended the lodge to our family!
A beautiful lodge in a beautiful setting. Very well maintained and cared for. Everything supplied that you could possibly need and absolutely everything has been thought of for the guests comfort. The welcome basket was a lovely gesture and all the information provided about the area was really useful. You can tell a lot of work has gone into these lodges and the surrounding 13 acres and it bought us a great deal of pleasure.
Kathryn
What a fabulous property, location and welcome. The accommodation was spotless, super comfy, had everything you could want and more with a lovely welcome basket. Beautiful garden with hot tub and wildlife. If that wasn't enough , go for a walk and find magical seating, swinging and fire pit areas in a private wood and get up early and see the deer eating apples just a few feet from your door! Thank you for an amazing break
Rachel
Pheasant Lodge is perfect for a romantic getaway. Relax in the hot tub and soak up the picturesque views. The only sound you will hear are the birds, sheep, leaves rustling in the wind and the bubbles of the hot tub. The lodge is equisette, cleaned to perfection and has the most cute and tasteful decor. We don't want to say too much and give everything away, but the lodges plush amenities will leave you wanting for nothing. Kellie and Steve are the perfect hosts, a friendly introduction showing us how everything works and some local knowledge, and then left us to enjoy our long weekend. There are lots of things to see and venture close by or you could simply relax and stroll through the grounds. So much thought and love has gone into Pheasant Lodge. The only problem is, you won't want to leave! We can't wait to re book and go back. Rachel and Chris
It was such a joy to stay here and it was so relaxing. We can only echo previous positive comments from guests. It is a wonderful lodge with beautiful scenery and we saw some great wildlife. We loved the gorgeous hot tub. It had everything we could possibly ask for and we would love to return.
We had an amazing stay at Pheasant Lodge. Its such a wonderful place, with everything you could need. The garden is very private and the hosts are so helpful and friendly. Although you are away from the hustle and bustle, its a short distance to the town where there are plenty of pubs, restaurants and shops to explore. We would highly recommend this holiday and will definitely be visiting again.
Lesley
Wonderful little hideaway. Stunning location. The lodge its self was immaculate, and had everything we could possibly need. The owners have clearly poured a lot of love in to their lodges.
Melanie
We had an amazing stay at Pheasant Lodge. The facilities had everything you could want and more. The location was a perfect base to be able to explore right across Dorset and the beautiful grounds and tranquil location were the perfect place to rest after a busy day. Our hosts were welcoming and helpful. Couldn't recommend more.
We had a great holiday. The cottage, grounds and host were perfect and the area was lovely too
We had the most wonderful weekend that we have already booked to come back for a week. Kellie and Steve are great hosts and, to be brutally honest, have undersold the beauty of this property and its amazing facilities. The way they have fitted in so much into the chalet is a fantastic logistical feat while keeping it airy and spacious. This property comes so highly recommended and we are so looking forward to our next stay.
Rebecca
We booked Pheasant lodge for our first wedding anniversary and we've had the most relaxing holiday we've ever been on! The lodge was full of everything we could possibly need and the grounds were absolutely beautiful and full of so much wildlife. We thoroughly enjoyed our early morning walks to see the deer and play a game of croquet with a cup of coffee and then spend the evenings in the hot tub with a glass of prosecco. Such an amazing base for exploring Dorset, Kellie and Steve really have thought of everything to make this a completely perfect stay, thank you for the very thoughtful welcome basket and just an overall amazing week! We cannot wait to stay here again!
Had a lovely few days away in this peaceful property to celebrate mine and my wife's 1st year anniversary. The property was very clean, spacious and has lots of facilities, situated only a couple of minutes walk from a very nice pub, with lots of fields and nature walks around to go for a trek. After mentioning it was our anniversary, we came back after being out to a bottle of prosecco waiting for us too! Really thoughtful owners, this property goes above and beyond expectations.
Wonderful place to stay in a quiet rural setting. Owners are lovely! The welcome basket was a great personal touch and you can tell a lot of attention has gone into outfitting and decorating the cottage. Everything was clean and tidy on arrival. The inventory is perfect lots of kitchen utensils, plastic cups to have a drink in the hot tub, slippers and robes, soft blankets, games, the list goes on! The information folder in the cottage is a brilliant source of info we barely used our car, as there are so many great walks in the area. Hot tub a great bonus of course! We really enjoyed bubbling away in the tub while watching the stars at night. The surrounding private countryside offers a few shorter walks and hidden places to have a sit around a fire pit. The cottage also boasts a pizza oven and little chiminea we didn't use these, but nice to have the option!.
Lovely cottage, fantastic location close enough to everything you need, lots of wonderful places to walk and eat, yet quiet and tranquil wiht plenty of countryside around. Hot tub and barbeque were used extensively and we wanted for nothing. Good info on things to do and places to go, and nice touches like torches for when we walked back from the pub in the dark, dvds, and of course, fluffy dressing gowns for when finsihed in the hot tub!
What a beautiful place this is. We stayed in Pheasant Lodge and it had everything we needed to make a relaxed and peaceful holiday. The scenery, location, extras all make this a very special place. The owners are friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. A lovely find and it was the perfect place to celebrate our wedding anniversary. S & K, thank you for a perfect holiday.
A perfect place to both relax and explore the Dorset coast or new forest area. There are plenty of places to eat, some walkable and more a short drive away. The garden and views across to the woods are a good way to spend the evening in the hot tub. If you like camp fire bbq then the fire pit areas in the woods are an excellent idea, with plenty of wildlife to spot.

We had such an amazing time at Pheasant Lodge and have recommended it to family and friends. We would love to come back in the future! Every amenity you could think of was provided in the lodge, it was clean and comfortable and there was always something to do even when it rained! The hosts were so lovely and made sure that we had everything we needed. Their pet sheep and dog were so friendly and lovely to pet and we were lucky enough to see a baby deer running through the woodland. There is a pub round the corner literally a 2 minute walk which served a wide variety of food and there are nearby towns if you walk in either direction, just over a mile walk if you want to go to the shops or explore. Also, the hot tub was easy to use and is cleaned every day and we also received a hamper with some tasty treats which was lovely! We would definitely come again! Thanks so much for having us.
Recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at Pheasant Lodge. The lodge was very well equipped, comfortable and had a lovely private garden and super view over the field and beyond. During our stay, we were lucky enough to see deer, the two friendly pet sheep, a fox, pheasant and numerous birds all in this tranquil haven. Super Hot Tub too! Ideal base for touring Dorset's quant villages, seaside and sampling local food and ales. Thank you Kellie, for the lovely welcome pack and we hope that Loki, the dog is making new friends!
A superb place to stay , everything was there that was required for a break away. Hot tub brilliant, a really nice and quiet place , comfy bed lead to a really good nights sleep , would highly recommend to friends, a fantastic place to stay, would definitely stay there again
Michael
We had a lovely week at pheasant lodge. Kellie and Steve have a great facility there.
Pheasant Lodge was an excellent trip away, it had everything you would need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Great surroundings and hosts.
Everything was perfect. Kellie and Steve have done an amazing job and really give you all the information you could need. Really made the trip super special!
Kellie and Steve made us feel so welcome. Everything you needed was in the lodge. We saw deer outside our window and relaxing in the hot tub was a bonus. All photos true to life. Thanks again xx
A massive thank you to Kellie and Steve for helping to make our short stay so wonderful. The lodge was perfect, helped by the hot tub, scenery and some lovely nearby walks. The welcome basket was a lovely treat and we will certainly be back one day. Grace and Scott.
Had an lovely half term break with a friend in this beautiful place, everything was perfect and all the little touches helped make it a relaxing break.
Pheasant lodge is a absolutely beautiful place to stay absolutely lovely friendly couple that own it, Will definitely recommend it if want a quite peaceful break.
Russell
Kellie and Steve were lovely, very considerate and thoughtful. I am always sceptical about advice given by the people who own run the holiday or resort we're visiting but Kellie and Steve gave us genuine personal opinions on where to go and what do and how best to experience them. Actually on reflection I think our holiday was made better knowing that the people who owned the accommodation were genuinely nice people. The deer in the back garden also helped swing our opinion.
Robert
The lodge had everything we needed and more. It was immaculately clean and really comfortable. Kellie or host was very friendly and helpful before, during and even after our stay as I left something behind which she kindly posted back to me. The woodland trail and barbeque area in the ground is really well kept and a lot of attention to detail. We spotted deer twice during the week within the grounds. I cant recommend this property enough.
The lodge was absolutely perfect for our honeymoon and such a relaxing break. Kellie and Steve were both very welcoming and friendly and very kindly extended our check out time on our last day. In the hot summer months, a tower fan would of helped to keep the lodge cool and may help with trying to sleep through the heat. Other than that, it was absolutely perfect, couldn't fault the lodge at all.
Was everything we hoped for and more! Very private and relaxing. The grounds were beautiful and the hosts very accommodating.
Alison
Lovely lodge which had everything we needed . Perfect location and lovely views. Host provided a nice welcome pack of local produce and provided tea lights in the power cut ! Perfect location for a romantic week away
The set up was superb. Fantastic accommodation in a beautiful location. Wildlife not far away and a hot tub to relax in. A wonderful break away.
Christopher
A truly lovely property . It has absolutely everything you need and more, condensed ingeniously into a small space . Perfect for couples . The surroundings are beautiful we saw deer . The hot tub was a bonus and was easy to use . One of the very best properties I have stayed in.
Rachel
We had the loveliest stay in Pheasant Lodge! The accommodation was so cosy and well kept. Every detail was so well thought out to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The hosts were incredibly helpful checking us in and showing us how to use the hot tub, giving us delicious home made apple cake, local cider and local chocolates as well as recommending things locally to do! We loved the hot tub and the fact that the accommodation is not at all overlooked, allowing us to admire the beautiful countryside and look at the stars at night. The location was great for exploring the local area and there is a pub just a few minutes walk away, which was great even with the current restrictions! Would highly recommend this accommodation and the hosts. Thanks again!
A lovely cottage. Although small you had everything you needed. The owners had gone out of their way to make sure you had a good stay. The grounds with fire pits and deers were a added bonus. The hot tub was great.
Kellie and Steve were very helpful and friendly, excellent location really enjoyed the place.
