Anchorage House Reviews

Christopher
Fab location Family holiday House with Plenty of room Plenty of parking space too
Such a beautiful house we all had a fantastic time there ,everything we needed was there and the bonus of having the beach just over the road was great for the children, would certainly recommend this property.
Amazing stay. House is in a great location and had everything we needed went as a group of 8 ladies and couldnt have picked a better place. Sykes online account was so easy to pay deposits and payments and the house owner was lovely.
Denise
Wonderful week at Anchorage house made even more special by our kind hosts providing a birthday cake, chocolates, wine and balloons for my husbands birthday. As always the house was very clean and warm with everything you could need. It was a memorable stay and we hope to return again soon.
Adrian
The family had a fantastic week, swam in the sea at Porth Diana which is literally 100 yds from the house. The view from the balcony of sunsets is breathtaking. The facilities are good too, jacuzzi and sauna. The kitchen is well stocked with plentiful supply of cutlery and plates and glasses. 4 bedrooms which are perfect for 8 people, all in all perfect and the weather was very good to us!!!
Adrian
Great property, right by the sea with amazing views. Would highly recommend and hope to visit again.
Great location opposite the beach. Comfortable, well designed, well equipped house with sauna and spa pool, nice welcome pack of wine, milk, choccy biscuits and rolls and it had an EV charger which was a bonus. Owners very friendly, we'll be back.
Melanie
Lovely house with beautiful views. Well equipped kitchen. Nice and clean. Owners were friendly and helpful. Easy walking distance to a few pubs and restaurants. I found the spa pool a bit too cold to go in owners had advised it's lukewarm before we arrived so this was expected but the sauna was great after a quick dip in the sea. I would stay here again.
We absolutely loved our stay at Anchorage House! Thank you so much, Sandra and Steve, for everything, especially for the very special Christmas Pudding, wine and chocolates and all the other thoughtful touches and luxuries that helped to make our holiday so wonderful. We enjoyed everything about the house the comfortable beds how everything was so clean how we didnt need to bring any of the essentials ourselves being able to get in touch if there was anything we were unsure of the amazing location We used the sauna and spa pool almost every day and children were so sad to leave and so were we! Thank you so much.
Denise
Great stay again. House is beautifully clean and a real home from home. Lovely touch of chocolates, biscuits, wine and especially Bara Brith cake which went down brilliantly with tea. Grandchildren loved beach, sea and then warming up in the jacuzzi after. We will be back next year.
Jonathan
Our stay exceeded all expectations beautiful weather on all bar one day and the view from the lounge was still beautiful in the rain. The only thing we would have liked is to stay longer. Very attentive care from the owners for a really minor issue that we raised as an FYI faultless.
Denise
Another memorable stay at this wonderful property. The house, beach and local restaurants provide everything that is needed for a great stay, cant wait to return.
We have just spent a week in this lovely house, as there were just two of us we only used the top floor and this worked perfectly. We loved the superking bed in the master bedroom which was very comfortable and sitting on the balcony overlooking the sea and watching the sun set. The beach in front is very sheltered and we were able to swim every day even though it was only May. A special thank you to Sandra for her efforts in accommodating my special request.
Anchorage house is a fantastic well equipped house with the added bonus of a sauna and hot tub. On arrival it was lovely to have been left tea, coffee ,biscuits wine and chocolates. The hosts were very attentive and made sure everything was spot on. The location of the property is stunning. Could not of asked for anything else. David Brown

The property met our expectations and the owner was very helpful. Just want to point out one small thing. We couldnt get the expelair fan in the ensuite to work. Otherwise it was kitted out to a high standard.
Lorraine
Superb accommodation in a fantastic setting with outstanding views. Everything you could possibly need for a perfect holiday. Friendly, helpful hosts. Absolutely home from home, with the added luxury of spa facilities. Definitely going again.
Denise
Wonderful stay again at Anchorage House, grandchildren loved being on the beach and in the sea this weekend then going back across road to warm up in the jacuzzi. Excellent eating out in local restaurants and lovely walk from South to North stack. Cant wait for our return visit.
The views across the bay the location were wonderful the house so lovely and comfortable a really enjoyable stay for all of us.
The property was absolutely fantastic. Loads of space, really bright & clean. Amenities were fantastic & the view from that balcony just WOW!
Denise
Wonderful stay again, enhanced by great weather. Grandchildren cried when leaving. Fully supported by the owners with nice touch of wine and chocolates on arrival. Cant wait for our next stay

A fabulous house in a wonderful location. Anchorage House has a great feeling of comfort and space and is very well appointed with everything you could possibly need. It was a treat to be able to use the sauna and spa pool after our long coastal walks. All the amenities of Trearddur Bay are within an easy 15 minute stroll, with so many lovely distractions along the headland the wild flowers were amazing. The huge open plan kitchendiningliving room on the upper level was perfect for family living, with splendid views. Sitting on the balcony in the evenings watching the sun set over Porth Diana was magical. Thank you to Sandra and Steve, who were very welcoming and very helpful. Really hope to return in future.
Christine
Beautiful house with a stunning view. The thoughtful owners have thought of everything to make your stay special. You will not be disappointed!
The holiday house was exactly like the description and photos. The house was chosen mainly because of the view and easy access to the beach, it did not disappoint. We had a lovely holiday and I would go again in a heartbeat. Thank you.
Pamela Joyce
Beautiful location . .coastal walks is a must ..not far in the car for main shops. If your idea of relaxing and quiet this is for you love it and would love to go back. Sandra and Steve on hand if any issues...Sandra thank you for our treat in the fridge was lovely.
Denise
Wonderful holiday again in a beautiful house and location, cant wait to visit again next year.
Michael
House was thoroughly cleaned before our arrival and was spotless. A well equipped kitchen. Stunning location. Perfect customer care from Sandra and Steve , keeping in touch with us from a week before we arrived. Loved it
Fantastic view. Well equipped property making selfcatering so much easier. Owner helpful.
Vivien
Location was fantastic. Just being able to cross the road to the beach was amazing. There was plenty of room for the kids and adults to chill out separately or spend time together. The owners were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our trip. We had some queries over the hot tub but the owners helped to address these during the stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and would be keen to return.
Denise
This was my first experience of self catering in UK and I was very happy with it. The house was more than I expected and its beach location was a bonus for our two small grandchildren, they didnt want to go home! The owners Sandra and Steve were very helpful and contacted us with restaurant suggestions and places to visit. They were easily contactable before and during the visit when I wanted to ask questions. Whilst we were there a sink in the ensuite was slow to empty, when we mentioned this to Steve he took immediate action and sorted it out. We cant wait to visit again.
Holiday was brilliant, the house was exceptional. However your marketing is over the top you are sending me far too many emails which is most likely to discourage me from using Sykes again.
Fantastic house with everything you could want! The house was clean, very spacious and comfortable, the beds were amazing !! We went away with our 3 boys and my parents, we never felt crowded or on top of each other. The view is outstanding and something you would never grow bored of! Sandra the owner met us at the property and could now have been more welcoming!!! She is clearly very proud of her property which certainly shows!! Can highly highly recommend this property!!
Yvonne
A perfect place to spend a family holiday. The property exceeded all expectations. Every aspect of the property catered for everybodys needs. Truly a home from home with one of the best views in the world.
Christine
Enjoyed another wonderful stay at these two houses, great location right on the beach, even better to sit on the balcony and watch the glorious sunsets once again. The Wilson family & friends
Joseph
Anchorage house is simply amazing. We arrived to a tray of tea and home made cake. The cleanliness and house facilities are second to none. The owners cant do enough to make sure the stay is a perfect one. The views and sunset from the balcony are the best Ive ever seen. I would 100 return.
Charlotte
We loved Anchorage house , it was brilliant. It had everything you could possibly need and the view was to die for.
Excellent luxurious accommodation with stunning views! This is our third visit. Again we had a warm welcome from Sandra.
This property was absolutely amazing. From the warm welcome from Sandra and Steve to the stunning accommodation our holiday was perfect from start to finish. Beautiful sea views and everything you could need. We were travelling with a 7, 5 and nearly two year old and the property was incredibly child friendly with everything you may need for a stress free holiday. Absolutely amazing and we will definitely be back.
Phillip
Even though the photos show that this property is close to the shoreline, you don't really get it until you stand in the upper floor living space and gaze out of the windows. It's truly mesmerising! The owner waiting back for us to greet us personally, even though we had been caught up in Friday evening trafficwhat a start to the holiday to have such a friendly face greeting us along with homemade cake, chocolates and a bottle of wine. The property is amazingly well equipped with all the bedrooms having huge fluffy pillows and bedding to cosy up in. The copious amounts of bathrooms made family and friends living a breeze with plenty of heat and hot water for all. That aside, it didn't stop us jumping in the sauna every day after the long walks up and down the coast path, right on the doorstep. The upper floor open living space is where we spent most of our time when not outside and there were plenty of comfortable seating options all around the room. All the utensils you could wish for are in the kitchen if you chose to stay in a cook in the kitchen, but a short walk away is a host of places to eat from icecreams at the seashanty cafe, through lunches to fabulous dinners at the Balck Seal.
Lilian
Perfect location. Lovely spacious rooms, lots of beautiful furnishings and comfortable beds.
Jessica
What a fantastic, spacious house, in the most wonderful of locations. Everything was thought about in the property and the views from upstairs were amazing. The house was immaculate and everything presented beautifully. We would love to return for another relaxing break. Thank you Sandra.
