About Pen Y Graig

A well-presented detached bungalow within easy access of Trearddur Bay on the Isle of Anglesey. Set in a private, secluded location, half a mile from the popular beach and amenities of Trearddur Bay, makes this a perfect place for a family holiday or a get together with a few friends.

On entering the cottage, you will notice the high standard of furnishing throughout giving a lovely contemporary feel. There are three bedrooms leading off the hallway, with a family bathroom.

The L-shaped kitchen is bright and airy and has everything needed to cook those home-cooked meals, even with a small dining table, making it a delightful place to socialise or plan your day’s activities over breakfast. The spacious sitting room is light and bright with dual aspect windows, giving lovely views across the open fields.

There is plenty of comfy seating with a multi-fuel stove making a great place to relax after a full day out and about. This then leads you into a good-sized conservatory which houses a lovely dining table and even a small sofa, making it an ideal place to relax with a good book.

To the back of the cottage is a large lawned garden which is partly enclosed and secluded with excellent views down to the bay and possibly to the sea on clear days. There is a good-sized decking area with furniture as well as access to the fantastic hot tub.

Cafés, restaurants, shops and pubs are only a short walk away from this lovely Trearddur Bay cottage, while the local golf club, birdwatching and cliff walks at South Stack Lighthouse are easily accessible. Why not take a trip to the lovely local beach just a 5 minute walk way or for a change try one of the other beaches on the island?

Pen Y Graig Reviews

Victoria
A lovely property in a beautiful location the hot tub is fabulous and the garden is secure and a good size. Everything is extremely well organised and the property is well equipped. My family and I had a fabulous time and we will definitely book again.
Wonderful property, warm, clean well equipped. 10min walk to beach. Hot tub a plus. Would benefit from an outside light at rear as access to hot tub is a little dark and the decking is a little slippy at times. Overall lovely, would definitely go back

Had the most amazing time , beautiful cottage in an amazing place , definitely home from home , everything you need is supplied , plenty of brilliant walks and places to eat out Would highly recommend PenYGraig absolutely stunning place Thank you for allowing us to share your beautiful home
This was our 2nd stay at Pen y Graig and everything was just as good as the first. The property is furnished with everything you can think of including many little extras. Great bedding resulting in all of us getting a good night's sleep. Thanks, John, Angela and Dawn.

We spent a lovely week at Pen y Graig last week. We were very lucky weatherwise as it was glorious. The house is laid out well, comfortable, and fully equipped. The hot tub is an added bonus. The bungalow is in a good position to visit the beach, shop, and restaurants in the village.
We had a lovely holiday and we really enjoyed staying in the property. Plenty of space and comfortable bed. We took our own duvet and pillows as my partner is allergic to feathers but that was fine. So nice to come back from a walk and get into the hot tub to chill out. We loved that you can see the wild life from the window we saw a badger for the first time, we also saw lots of rabbits as well. Would love to go again, the walk is more more than 5 mins to the beach walking but it was still short enough for us.

We all had a lovely stay, very comfortable and generally clean with a nice bottle of fizz and cake upon arrival. However, we did notice a few items that had been left by previous people in a drawer and underneath wardrobebedside table. A few minor things such as a blind in the main bathroom and more cleaning products would have been useful. But, overall a lovely place, particularly the hot tub and outdoor area. Thank you

Lovely welcome gift. Extremely well equipped. Would definitely stay again. Many thanks. Met garden mai ntenance crew. Very nice and friendly.
Very impressed with the bungalow. Comfy beds with lovely linen. Great hot tub set in a good sized private garden. Lots of thoughtful extras throughout the bungalow. Really enjoyed the logburner and the smart tele in the evenings.
This is our third stay at Pen Y Graig with our family. We always have a lovely time. The cottage is spotless and the owners are really quick to rectify any problems. The only niggle we had was the cleanliness of the hot tub. When we arrived it had sand and dirt in it and obviously hadnt been cleaned from the previous stays. We contacted the owners and he got in contact with the guy who Maintains it. We learned that its only cleaned and the water changed every third stay so if you are the third stay there have been two other families using it and the water. This may mean you could do with checking prior to your stay if , like us you prefer not to bath in others water. The maintenance man put in anti foamer and some new tablets and also topped up the water as it was very low. Other than this the cottage is amazing , we love it and would be happy to book again.
Beautiful cottage in beautiful location. Would definitely love to come back. Just a couple of things to make our stay even more enjoyable is a mat on each door entrance so that we can wipe our feet when coming in from outside as this would save grass etc being brought into the cottage. The mat for the hot tub was missing too. The door in the conservatory was very stiff. It wouldn't lock at one stage but fortunately the men came to cut the grass and we borrowed some WD40 and put plenty on the locks of the door which seemed to work. I think the locks have just got rusty over time. Again without the door mat grass once cut, kept coming in on our feet which wasn't great. Only small things as we did have a lovely time. Thank you.
Loved every minute, beautiful cottage in a super location. Beds where soo comfy , everything we needed . Couldnt of wished for a nicer break away . Would definitely recommend 10 out of 10 from us xxx

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was extremely well equipped with everything we could possibly need. The beds were the comfiest beds weve ever slept in! The only issue we had was that the garden was not enclosed as stated. An Inquisitive dog will find his way out as we experienced! It was disappointing the hot tub wasnt working but we appreciated the refund.
Michelle
We had an amazing relaxing time, just what we needed. The house was lovely cozy spacious and well equipped. Being able to take the dog was a huge bonus.
Lovely cottage within a 510 minute walk to the beach shop & pubs . The cottage is lovely & secluded , not overlooked at all , the garden is not enclosed as stated , an inquisitive dog would soon be off .. the decor is very tired and in need of a deep clean , this really lets it down ,months worth of dust and dog hair under the sofa , we had to clean the fridge and toilet before we could use them , the beds however are amazing , very comfortable and quality bedding .. the boiler broke and although the owner was very helpful we had to wait in all day as the keysafe needs replacing as you can just pull it open .. if these issues were addressed we would recommend it
Louise
We had a really lovely week. The cottage was in a great location and the hot tub was a brilliant addition. Luckily the weather was perfect which topped the whole thing off.
Lovely house with everything you need. Hot tub was an added bonus. Location was great with only a short walk to the beach and shops.
Wonderful cottage, very well equipped. Lovely peaceful location.

Great accommodation, all necessities were in the accommodation that you would ever for a holiday with a few nice extra touches as well, the only disappointment was the barbecue which was so dirty we couldnt use it,it didnt appear to have been cleaned for a while,we had to buy disposable barbecue,s,this didnt spoil our stay though in this wonderful property, would certainly recommend this property.
A wonderful, secluded, clean , comfy cottage, with a lovely private garden at the back. The cottage contained everything you could possibly need on a family holiday and was perfect for our party of four adults and a dog. The hot tub was a great addition and the welcome packincluding prosecco!was a lovely surprise and very much appreciated. I would highly recommend this holiday property and hope to return to it sometime soon.
Perfect accommodation. So much space. Decor is gorgeous, so we'll equips, and lots of lovely little touches, like the prosecco, Welsh cakes and bits left for us on arrival. The main bed is HUGE!!! And I think the comfiest bed I've ever slept in. The garden, the hot tub, the furniture, the bbq, the view!!!!! Just an amazing property in a lovely quiet location but close enough to the bay. I was so sad coming home and we will be back for sure. My one suggestion would be a new bin. Or an extra bin or too with the one that's there. Recycling is a must, but with only one bin we found that we ended up with general rubbish in the bin non recycleable, and then a pile of paper rubbish stacked up on the table for the paper bin, and a pile of glassplastic rubbish in a corner of the kitchen. If we didn't do this we would have to go out to the big bins on the front every time we had a piece of plastic or paper, so just another couple of bins the same as the one that's already there labelled up would make this much easier. But honestly..... can't wait to come back xxxx

Fantastic property, brilliantly equipped and the owner responded to issues which were minimal immediately. Such a peaceful and tranquil spot and the hot tub was lovely.
The cottage is in a great location near to the beach with lovely walks for the dog. The cottage was very comfortable and warm and cosy with comfortable beds. Ive never stayed anywhere that had such a well equipped kitchen. If you are a cook theres everything you could want including sharp knives! We appreciated being able to cook nice meals although there is a good choice of eateries nearby. My dog enjoys being outside and loved the free run of the garden. Despite our visit being early March we were able to enjoy the sunshine and made use the garden sofas on the decking and saw some lovely sunsets. The hot tub is a lovely addition with towels supplied by the owners. We would definitely stay here again
Spencer
Perfect stay. Extremely well equipped cottage.
Fantastic cottage in a great location. Really well equipped with everything you could need. Beds were very comfy and it was great place to stay. Only five mins from the beach. Would definitely recommend.
Deborah
Pen Y Graig is the best equipped holiday home we have ever stayed in and the hot tub was the icing on the cake. We would definitely recommend it. My only comment would be that the garden is not secure for a lively sprocker but we were prepared for that and Riley had her best holiday ever. We would love to return in the future.
Pen y Graig is a great place to stay lovely views from the lounge, cosy log fire and plenty of space. It would have benefited from better clean in places but that didnt spoil our stay. Great location and walkable to the fabulous Sea Shanty and beach coastal walks.
Jillian
Residents should acquaint themselves with the recycling procedures when they stay and not just adlib. Read the book provided.Otherwise fabulous.
Lovely cottage, lovely position and very cosy and well equipped, everything you ... Lovely cottage, lovely position and very cosy and well equipped, everything you would need for a perfect holiday, I would highly recommend this property, I would give it 5 out of 5
Pen y Graig was a lovely cottage and a genuine home from home. The beds were comfy and the kitchen very well equipped. Its position at the end of a cul de sac meant it was very private. The garden was a natural sun trap so we had some lovely afternoons sitting out on the decking.
Graham
Lovely location, short walk to the beaches. Nice and relaxing break.
We had a lovely stay at the cottage. When we arrived the owners had left a bottle of fizz and some Welsh cakes as well as a little starter pack for the fire , dishwasher and some milk. The cottage wash clean but not spotless. The windows were in need of a clean and there was crumbs in the fridge and freezer. We also picked up wrappers from under the sofa. I dont think the hot tub had been cleaned between stays as there was some grass in there and during our stay the water levels reduced to well below the top jets. Also the handy man visits and puts things away and closes the tub during the stay which meant We couldnt use the bbq Friday night as it had gone on our return from the shop to get the buns so we had to use the kitchen on a really warm night. However all of that said this place is bliss. The owners have the best stocked kitchen ever , the bedding is lush the area beautiful and they have thought of everything to make the stay amazing. We cannot wait to return and cant thank the owners enough for sharing their beautiful cottage
We loved the holiday home because of the lovely quiet location and it was so well equipped. If you have a dog it is highly recommended. I would definitely book again.

Great location. Lovely house. Perfect for a family holiday.
Jonathan
Great place , modern all the little touches taken care of will be back thank you
Pen Y Graig is one of the best cottages we have stayed in. It had everything we needed, well equipped, great location, perfect. We booked for next year while we were there.
Cottage had everything and beyond. However if you like the heating turned above 18 oc then beware because the heating is controlled by hive so I assume the owners can and will control it from their phones as we experienced the heating being turned down on several occasions which was inappropriate as we were not exploiting our environment.. overall a pleasant stay also the hottub during the end of our stay was becoming in our opinion very dirty
Good location for beach and coastal paths. Cottage well equipped and comfortable . Hot tub lovely at the end of the day.
