This detached farmhouse is set in the midst of a working livestock and arable farm, with a separate entrance, courtyard and gardens. Close to the market town of Newcastle Emlyn, it is spacious and extremely well equipped; a superb property for families and friends who enjoy freedom, comfort, peace and tranquility.

Drive down the picturesque single lane in open countryside and arrive at this wonderful Newcastle Emlyn holiday home. Step into the conservatory with its spacious dining area, which leads directly into the kitchen where the cooks in your party will enjoy creating hearty meals.

The sitting room off the kitchen at this cottage near Newcastle Emlyn is a delightful place for children to enjoy their own space or adults to unwind, or why not step through the French doors into the larger sitting room where everyone can watch TV or, again, just relax together after great days out? There are five welcoming bedrooms at this Newcastle Emlyn cottage, including one with the bonus of an en-suite corner bath, along with a separate bathroom on the first floor and a shower room on the ground floor.

The enclosed patios and lawned garden are suntraps and the hot tub will be one of the focal points for all, no matter what the weather decides, plus the owners have utilised a large open barn to offer a games room with table tennis and darts for some competitive fun while on your holiday. Enjoy the quiet surroundings with leisurely walks, some birdwatching or maybe a cycle ride along the quiet country roads.

Your stay, if you never leave the property and its grounds, will be memorable, but it would be a shame not to visit the wonderful Welsh coastline, enjoy beach and coast path walks, maybe go out on a boat trip to spot dolphins, sit and marvel at the delightful Cenarth Falls, or do a spot of shopping in nearby Newcastle Emlyn or Carmarthen. From warm and sunny, summer days to chilly winter evenings, this is a quality Newcastle Emlyn cottage, at any time of year.

Blaensilltyn Reviews

We had a lovely stay at the farm house for my daughters hen party, big and spacious for all of us,we found the games room a lot of fun, although the dart board and pool table could have a bit of TLC,the farm house could do with a bit of TLC,but over all we had fun,and plenty of laughter, the hot tub was the best of all. ..thank you Hun and family.
Been before and hasn't disappointed again, hot tub maintained by the lovely Huw very early morning meaning lovely clean hot water ready to go. House is lovely, beds so comfortable had a fantastic 40th with the girls, even the weather didn't spoil it.
Stunning house in a beautiful location. Would definitely recommend to family and friends. We had a fantastic weekend, everything we needed was there. Would definitely look to come back . Thanks Huw and Carys, for allowing us to stay

Beautiful property, plenty of room inside and out. Lovely place to go for a relaxing holiday.
Fantastic stay in a lovely house. Our party of seven ranging from 15 to 84 loved the space it had with generous sized bathrooms and a spacious kitchen. The hot tub went down particularly well and the two dogs loved the garden which was secure for them. Tricky roads getting to the property but found an easier route to get everywhere once there. Games room also enjoyed by the boys. Couple of minor things like no table tennis or games as advertised and a sticky lock on the downstairs bathroom but nothing major. Good base to explore area and beaches only a few miles away with some stunning scenery. Nice meal at the Bunch of Grapes in town and the New Inn down the road. Prompt communication from Hugh and Carys the owners and an all round fantastic stay.
Blaensilltyn house was the perfect accommodation for 12 people, located in a rural spot with very little noise from the surrounding farm, facilities were good and the layout of the house really worked for us. Unfortunately the games room was in a very poor state, pool table was broken and balls missing, no table tennis table as advertised. The bathroom door lock was broken and the lock was completely missing from the en suite bathroom. General maintenance of the property could do with some attention but being used as a holiday property probably doesnt leave much time for this. The hot tub was amazing and proved a real plus for us, the kitchen was very well equipped and again the layout worked in every way, they say the kitchen is the hub of the home and it definitely was, will definitely being booking again in the future!
This property was amazing, great location, and wonderful facilities. The hot tub was the cherry on top!
This is a beautiful home with great facilities for all the family, close to Aberporth, Cardigan and Newquay. Any questions were answered and dealt with straight away. Thank you Carys and Huw

Our third visit was as good as the first. Blaensilltyn was the perfect venue for a family birthday. The living space on the ground floor is superb, the little conservatory together with the very comfortable lounge and second smaller lounge are very conducive to a family with children to accomodate. This is complemented by a wonderfully large dining area and very well equipped kitchen. All the bedrooms are a very good size and the bathroom facilities excellent for a large party. The hot tub was hugely popular again and appeared to be a new replacement this time around. In the past we have asked for assistance and the owner appeared very promptly to help with the situation. We will be back!!

Beautiful property and a lovely base to explore the area. There was an issue with the WiFi due to the weather but the owner was quick to resolve the issue. Everything was as described and we had a lovely break.

What a loverly place, we where a family of 12 ages from 8 to 84we had plenty of space for the girls to play, plus a games room, hot tub for us to relax in. 2 spacious lounges, and a dinning room table that all 12 could sit down and enjoy a meal together. the kitchen was very well equiped and the 5 very nice bedrooms with 3 bathrooms . All of this in a loverly country setting what more could you want

This farmhouse is a fabulous home from home. There's plenty to do at the house to keep you and your family entertained. Especially the hot tub to relax in after a long day out. We were lucky enough to enjoy stunning weather and the views and walks are stunning. Loved watching the cows and there young in the morning on the farm it was fabulous. Lovely little village to pop into for coffee or lunch with some lovely shops. Would totally recommend this farmhouse to anyone visiting South Wales and want a lovely peaceful relaxing escape.

This property was just what we wanted. Nice and spacious, very comfortable and clean and in a nice private space.

Lovely house and garden with lots of space, facilities, and well equipped. We all enjoyed our stay and the hot tub was a big hit. The only thing I would mention is that the hedge running along the left hand side of the garden has gaps in it meaning it is not dog secure. This isnt a negative review as the owners had warned to check the perimeter, its just a warning to other dog owners, particularly if yours is as inquisitive as ours
We had a lovely stay, shame we didnt quite have the weather but that cannot be helped. The first couple of nights we did not sleep too well as had a few plumbing issues noisy pipes and toilets etc however this was dealt with promptly to the best they could whilst we were there. It was in the listing there was a table tennis table but we could not find where this was which was disappointing. The grounds are amazing & the property is beautiful & had everything we needed for a party of 8 of us. I would recommend as other than the few minor problems to start it did not spoil our stay.

Everything in the cottage was as we hoped. The kitchen was well equipped and the kitchen dining room were the heart of the home all in all very homely. The dining table easily seated us all which can be a concern when there are so many. The hot tub was the star of the show being enjoyed more than times than I can remember! The owner always got back to us with any queries we had. It represented great value and I would recommend it.
Wellsized cottage and had a pleasant stay with family and friends. It has got all facilities you would expect for a holiday. The hot tub is ahuge size and well maintained for our entire trip. The kids enjoyed using table tennis and darts games. The owner Mr.H.Davies is very much friendly and sorted out all our simple queriesprior to the trip itself when we contact him.The postcode directly takes you to the cottage and no issues, however, worth speaking to the owner to avoid singlelane travel for a mile only, and he suggests good routes. Highly recommend this cottage.
Beautiful Huge house! ! Amazing facilities, had everything you need. Only disappointment was there was no table tennis but still had a great time. WiFi isnt the best. Would love to come back again
Kalpana
Thank you for providing a wonderful stay. Our only problem was the communual upstairs bathroom door not locking which we managed to find a solution for in the end.

Fabulous home to spend our family Christmas in. Spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Hot tub was lovely and warm and used on most days. I had read previous reviews on Internet being non existentslow, although not great we had no problem with email and my granddaughter watched YouTube. Overall a lovely large house with good amenities.
This was an amazing property. Very clean and well stocked with equipment. Good views. The owner even posted back some washing we had left in tgethe tumble dryer. We would certainly come again. Thank you.
Claire
You could smell how clean the house was as soon as you opened the door, very spacious rooms beds very comfortable and clean the kitchen dinner is fabulous there were 12 of us and we were never on top of each other we went for a 60th birthday and had fun without leaving the house, the hot tub was boiling and the farmer gave could tips on the village takeouts we had an amazing weekend and will be booking again. Thanks for having us xx
Patricia
It should be made aware the Internet was practically none existent. Hot tub very temperamental.
Louise
Absolutely beautiful cottage. Loads of room. Ideal for dogs. Great to have the pool table and hot tub was amazing. Lovely location. It was so quiet and peaceful. Very relaxing holiday. It had everything you needed. Yes the internet was slow but it was nice to get away from it for a while. Not far to travel to the coast. Really enjoyed it and would definitely go again and recommend.
Andrew
4 stars only due to poor WIFI. But still highly recommended. We loved the space, number and size of the rooms. We especially enjoyed the tabletennis, pool and hot tub. Very well equipped kitchen. Great location for country and coastal walk and super beaches. Unfortunately we found the WIFI was terrible. We normally had under 1 mbps which when shared between us often became unusable. This is why the otherwise excellent facilities have been marked down. But I suspect due to location this cannot be easily improved. Mobile reception was almost none existent. The WIFI is unsuitable for anyone wanting to do any work while away, which one of us did. But some may see this as a significant advantage. The property provided bed linen even though Skyes incorrectly advertised hence lower score the need to take your own. So I recommend you check as appropriate rather than load your car with pillows as we had.
Claire
Lovely property and the owners were incredibly helpful. Would definitely recommend
It was clean, tidy and spaceous especially for just two of us. Plenty to keep us occupied, when the weather preventing us seeing the beautiful countryside, with the table tennis, darts and pool.
Meekita
No hand soap, body shower and sanitiser. It wasnt mentioned that we had to bring our own.
Salman
The location is ideal and it is a beautiful farm house. Landlord is very friendly and helpful. I will definitely recommend it and will visit again.
Lovely time at the cottage enjoyed by all. WiFi signal was very poor so was phone reception which was a problem when my daughter couldn't find the cottage.
Gillian
Holiday lovely, accommodation great but communication with sykes is terrible
Jonathan
Over three phone calls, I was on the phone for over 100 minutes. Not acceptable even during the Covid19 period. Also, it was only due to me ringing that we found out that we had to take our own linen, sheets, pillows, duvets and towels. Also that we couldn't use the games room and the BBQ. Also, the check in and out times had changed. Luckily, after contacting the owner, we were allowed to use the games room and BBQ as long as we cleaned them properly. We were told we would be called back by Sykes but we weren't. The lady who we eventually spoke to was better but the wait to get through was unacceptable. However, all of this was forgotten as the cottage was fabulous and the owner was great too.

Just returned from an amazing 7 night stay at Blaensilltyn. The location is awesome with plenty of wildlife and cattle around. We were lucky to see Red kites swooping from the sky as the farmers ploughed the fields. The home is everything you could want and more. The home is furnished to a high standard and the space you have is brilliant if you have teenagers we have 4 The Kitchen and Dining area is well equipped. All the bedrooms are spacious and furnished lovingly. Having 3 separate showers with one by the kitchen was brilliant before using the jacuzzi. The highlight for us was the use of the Jacuzzi even in the rain and the large back garden and front patio area.Thank you to the owners for an amazing stay in such a beautiful location.Highly recommend.
Love this place go every year
Excellent holiday home for the week over New year. The house was very spacious, well equipped and maintained throughout. The property is located in the middle of nowhere so really peaceful although, although a few cows nearby. The WiFi was hit and miss so with kids was the only real downside. The hot tub was a very big plus for all. Overall very nice, comfortable and what would like to get anway for the week weekend. Would highly recommend.
Honestly really pleases with the standard or accomodation and cleanliness. Facilities fantastic with everything could expect and more. Washing drying facilities. Picnic equipment. Inflatables. BBQ setup. Nice gardens. Games and pool table etc. Can cope with 10 easily and wouldnt be on top of each other but equally nice for two. Felt homely the second walked in. Hot tub cleaned while we were out so always good to go. Gripes? None. If anything just check gas bottle full for bbq. We went to use it one night and it ran out immediately. But no big issue we just cooked in kitchen. And Im sure owner would be available to help sort it if no spare bottle around as has everything else so well covered there may be one we just didnt know about. We didnt contact him though as easier to cook in kitchen for the one meal. So no complaints. Thanks guys really nice place to stay
Sandra
Beautiful Cottage had everything we needed and more. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to anyone
Out 2nd visit this year as a family of 3 generations, our grandchildren aged 7 and 4 ran into the house shouting Hi house we're back. The house is perfect for all ages, space to still have you time, games rooms, hot tub and big family rooms. We love the area too, lots of beautiful beaches to explore and beautiful scenery.
Fantastic holiday and cottage away. The place was really clean and welcoming with facilities ready to use straight away. Had lots of space and good location. Thank you!
