Cambriol Reviews

Remote yet stunning location. Quiet countryside. Lovely property.
Veronica
Thank you Helen and Ian for your warm welcome and hospitality during our stay in your fantastic property. So well equipped, clean and comfortable hot tub was great after each day's sightseeing tours. The view is beautiful! Ideal location for touring southwest Wales, all within an hour's drive depending on traffictractorsroadworks etc!. Definitely a place to return to in the future. Thank you for the bara brith our first ever tasting. Came home and made one ourselves!
Victoria
We had a wonderful stay at Cambriol. The cottage is lovely and was well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Every evening was spent in the hot tub overlooking the spectacular views, which could also be seen whilst having our morning or afternoon coffee in the house or on the picnic bench outside. The friendly hosts Helen and Ian gave such a warm welcome and went above and beyond. We would love to go back soon and can highly recommend.
If you love peace, tranquility and countryside views coupled with high quality, comfortable accommodation then this is the place for you. A renovated barn on a working farm, with fascinating history shared by the super friendly owners, we had everything we needed so well equipped. High quality furnishings, linen and towels I love it when bath sheets are provided and a hot tub with views over the Gwendraeth Valley. We saw the farm's donkeys, a bird of prey landed outside the window and a fox creeping along the path. We enjoyed every aspect of our 5 day stay at Cambriol. Thank you so much

We've just come back from a 2 week holiday at Cambriol and we've had a fantastic time. I don't tend to leave feedback, but this property deserves a review. The owners, Helen and Ian were the most welcoming, friendly, helpful and perfect hosts. We can't fault the cottage in anyway5, the hot tub was the best we've ever been inperfect, the viewswow, the locationcentral and the friendly donkeyswhich our girls absolutely loved. At first I was thinking there wasn't much to do close by, but I was very wrong. Such a variety, for example Botanical Gardens, Tenby beach, Pembrey Country Park, ZipWorld south, Oakwood Theme Park, Monkey Sanctuary, LC swimming pool, Rhosilli Bay, cinema...I can go on, all brilliant places to visit. Highly recommend Cambriol for anyone's stay.
Penelope
This is a beautiful property with lovely views over rolling hills. Cambriol has been lovingly restored to a very high spec finish and we were very grateful to Ian and Helen for accommodating us at very short notice and providing us with the peace and quiet we were yearning for! Boxes ticked for us large and comfortable bed blackout blinds no traffic noise at all result, a happy holiday.

Fantastic stay at Cambriol for a long weekend with my wife. Cambriol was a lovely cottage with fantastic facilities inc. lovely hot tub with view. In a great part of the countryside with lots to do nearby country castles beaches botanics etc. Would highly recommend.
We came to visit Cambriol for 3 nights in November. The property itself is absolutely lovely, with everything you could need for a comfortable and cosy stay. The kitchen was well equipped and the bed was super comfy. The added addition of a bath tub was amazing. Hot tub was used to its full extent, and amazing views across the fields and valley. 2 very friendly donkeys which were a bonus for my horse loving friend
Very nice place in a rural setting which is perfect to relax. The hot tub is amazing, we spent most of the holiday there. The cottage is kept super clean and the hosts are very nice people that are also very helpful. Everything we needed was there. If I had to point out something that could be improved I could only say that there is potential to make it more cozy by adding more decoration carpets, pictures, curtains, plants, clocks

Cottage was wonderful. Really homely feel & the heated flooring made coming home really inviting. Hot tub was amazing, along with the towels & robes provided for walking back & forth from cottage. Owners made you feel really welcome & were just a quick message away. Really is a jem in the Welsh countryside. Our own very small issue were the sofas are so deep & soft that they offer no support & it felt like you were getting out of a bucket. This is a personal opinion, and wouldnt stop us coming back again.
Thanks for allowing us to use your property
Deborah
Cambriol was immaculate and every need was catered for. Little welcome gift of Welsh cakes, milk and tea was very thoughtful. Would definitely book again.
Claire
Cambriol is a fantastic place to visit, lovely and peaceful set in a beautiful location. The property was very clean and very well presented with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It was great to be able to explore southwest Wales having lots of adventures during the day and coming back to relax in the hot tub in the evening just perfect! Helen and Ian were great hosts, making sure our stay was the best it could be. Could not recommend highly enough. Excellent.
Rachel
Stayed here for my partners birthday and the welcome pack with additional bottle of wine was very welcomed. What a beautiful barn conversion, with stunning views over the countryside. So pretty and peaceful. Spotlessly clean and very well equipped with everything you need for a break away. Helen was very welcoming and knowledgable and made our stay a very comfortable one. We aldo got to meet the dogs and the donkeys. Would highly recommend visiting Y Polyn for a meal during your stay. The hot tub house is stunning and watching the sunset in the tub was amazing. Loved every minute of our stay at the barn and will definitely be back in the future.
Very welcoming on arrival. Owner left milk, some lovely Welsh cakes, teabags and a pack of ice which was much needed as the weather was absolutely roasting!! Wonderful touch. The cottage itself was fabulous and hot tub was a brilliant feature. No faults at all. Family loved the mini break! Will be returning again hopefully.
A truly delightful cottage which has been finished to a very high standard and provides very comfortable accommodation. It was spotlessly clean and it had everything we needed for a self catering holiday and more! The location is great for enjoying the peace, quiet and seclusion this property offers whilst being ideally located for exploring this part of Wales. The hot tub is perfect as it is indoors but has french doors and patio doors that you can have open or closed to suit and the views are just glorious! My only regret is that I spent so much time in the hot tub, I didn't get to enjoy the free standing bath... next time! The hosts Helen and Ian are so welcoming and give lots of good advice about local places to visit and eat. Cambriol gets 1010 from us and we highly recommend to others. Thank you for such a lovely holiday, we will be back
Lovely accomodation, very well equipped and comfortable, easy to find and access from the main road but still quiet and peaceful as away from traffic noise. Was scarcely out of the hot tub during our stay.
Jonathan
We had a week stay at Cambriol and could not have been happier. The Cottage is absolutely beautiful, perfectly clean and full of everything you need. The scenery and location are amazing and the hosts Helen and Ian made us feel so welcome and let our children bottle feed the Molly Lambs every day. Helens recommendations of places to visit are second to none and you must try the local tea rooms homemade cakes!! All in all the whole family had an amazing stay and would rate this as 1010. We will definitely be returning and will recommend all family and friends to do the same. Truly exceptional service. Thank you.
Katrina
Weve just come back from a fantastic short break at Cambriol cottage. The whole family enjoyed every aspect of it, from the hot tub looking over beautiful views to seeing the newly born lambs. Our boys were also able to feed the lambs whilst there which they loved. The owner was very accommodating and made us feel really welcome. Were looking forward to staying again.
Charlotte
An absolutely beautiful property in stunning countryside. We had a wonderful family trip to Cambriol enjoying the fabulous hot tub and the farm. The children were thrilled to see the lambs and donkeys and the host Helen could not have been more friendly and helpful. Cant wait to go back again! Would highly recommend it!

Great place for a weekend break away. Very friendly owners. Had a great time. Will return.
Beautiful accommodation, lovely location, had everything we needed, and the hot tub was just the icing on the cake.
Lovely welcome by the owner, Helen. She was very friendly and helpful. Property, Cambriol, is just beautiful. It is comfortable, cosy and warm, with everything you need. Donkeys were very friendly and lovely when they come to say hello. The hot tub is a fabulous addition to the package. Good location to explore SW Wales. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
It was an amazing stay with my family, I would definitely recommend the stay ... It was an amazing stay with my family, I would definitely recommend the stay with other members of my family, and the owner was also very welcoming

This cottage is beautiful set in a rural area with a fantastic hot tub in it's own building. .unfortunately we didnt get to stay the whole weekend as one of our party was taken ill but the owners couldnt have been more helpful. If your looking for peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle this is it! Hopefully we get to go back soon!
Claire
Thank you for a lovely stay, the cottage was perfect and very clean and a lot of love and care had been put into it. The hot tub really made our trip along with the fabulous views. Thank you
Fantastic traditional stone barn conversion, with superb views of the countryside, especially from the amazing hot tub. Very clean and modern interior with quality fixtures and fittings, loved the free standing bath, especially the view from it. The outstanding feature has to be the hot tub house, which can be used in all weathers, amazing with such incredible views, couldn't get enough of it !! A special mention to the friendly hosts, the star of the show Spot the little dog and we had a real soft spot for Glen the retired sheepdog. Would highly recommend Cambriol, and would definitely stay again.
A fantastic place to stay, lovely views out over the valley, excellent hot tub in its own building with shower all to a very high standard plus the hot tub has blutooth to be able to play your music while you're relaxing. Very friendly hosts and they even helped me out when my car somehow picked up a stone in the breaks and Ian took the time to fix it and got it all sorted out in a couple of hours. The whole cottage is finished to a very high standard and kept very clean and well maintained. Plus we always got a welcoming committee from Spot the dog and one of the cats on our return home. I can thoroughly recommend staying here and will come back for another stay.
The barn conversion is excellent and has been designed to a very high standard. It's in an ideal location with stunning views. The hosts Helen and Ian were lovely and were available should we have needed anything. The hot tub was fantastic and our girls loved spot the dog giving us his daily visit along with the cat and not forgetting their retired sheepdog and donkeys in the field . Thank you for a lovely holiday, we hope to be back next year and will definitely recommend to friends and family.
A beautiful location, with stunning views from the hotub. Charming traditional stone barn conversion, with fresh modern interiors. Highly recommended. We had a lovely week there.

Lovely cottage finished to a very high standard. Hosts were very welcoming and great knowledge and suggestions of things to see and go to in the area.
The cottage was very spacious, had amazing views and was a good base to travel to places of interest nearby. The hosts were very friendly, welcoming and helpful.
Cambriol is an exceptionally high quality holiday home offering the highest quality comforts. We had an amazing time enjoying the facilities, including the fabulous hot tub. The bed was very comfortable and the free standing bath was lovely and deep. Cambriol is ideally located for exploring all the local attractions and we managed to fit in The Botanical Gardens, Aberglasni Gardens, and we travelled to the Gower to visit Rhosilli beach. Helen and Ian gave us a lovely warm welcome, and were able to assist us with local knowledge about places to eat, and beaches to visit. If you are looking for something special, you need look no further than Cambriol.

Amazing cottage and hot tub. Views are unreal overlooking farm fields. Cottage was spotless and coming from me thats saying something as I usually feel the need to clean things before using them when I stay away but everything was clean and lovely. Cant fault a thing. Hosts were very friendly and helpful Would recommend to everyone and hopefully be back one day!
This cottage couldnt be more perfect! We visited amidst the covid restrictions so most things were closed, however, the cottage is so beautiful we didnt mind being stuck in one bit. The views are gorgeous, the cottage itself is faultless and the owners Ian and Helen couldnt be more welcoming and lovely. They let us get involved on the farm, feeding the donkeys carrots and seeing the lambs. We will definitely be returning in the new year! My partner and I would recommend this stay to anyone, absolutely brilliant.
We have only just returned from cambriol, with 3 children 1 being a baby. . we had the best time. Our boys who are 7 both didnt want to come home. Set in beautiful surroundings with amazing views, especially nice when sat relaxing in the hot tub looking out at the scenery. The hot tub is in it's own enclosed building making it perfect for use any time of year. A warm welcome was received from the owners and amazing hospitality shown to us during our stay. Ideal for a quiet getaway but only a few miles from many attractions if you want to venture out. We definitely intend to return
