Cwtch Ar Y Mor Reviews

This is our 2nd stay at the Cwtch this year. Ideal family accommodation with hot tub and everything we needed for six of us grandparents, parents and children. Excellent hosts. Our 2 dogs loved the Cwtch. Superb location a 15 minute walk from the dogfriendly beach. Nearby shops, pubs, cafes, restaurants and takeaways that we used were all good, many dogfriendly. The Cwtch is only 5 minute's walk from the train station with trains via Swansea and Cardiff to London and Manchester, and many other destinations without changing trains. Easy access from nearby Llanelli for the scenic 120 mile Heart of Wales railway line. Good hourly bus services to Swansea and Carmarthen. We will return next year! David.
I had a pleasant stay and enjoyed the walks. The house has everything needed, its spacious and I liked the enclosed garden for the dogs. The Beach is a ten minute walk. Shopseateries are five minutes away. The only downside really was the hottub didnt work, it was supposed ro be fixed whilst I was there but wasnt I assume the part was delayed. The hosts have promised a small refund to offset this. Would recommend for singles, couples and families Thank you Donna
Nice location, great hot tub . Well equipped with everything you need not all mentioned in advert . TV to high on wall causing neck pain. More attention to detail needed on cleaning cobwebs, hob, fridge , stairs lovely downstairs shower room not shown in pics.

Our second visit here lovely walks beach's . Property has everthing you could wish for bonus the hot tub will be returning next year
Lovely place to stay lovely surrounding area my inly suggestion would be to get ... Lovely place to stay lovely surrounding area my inly suggestion would be to get either a draining board or dish cloth for ease after washing up

Perfect for our 2 dogs and my partner an i. Hosts were amazing and helped with a few issues we had. Only downside was the bathroom upstairs wasnt usable for a bath but alternative shower room downstairs was perfect
I enjoyed the stay, the property could do with better cooking equipment as it was catering for 6. no frying pan although there was a saute pan. We took our own air fryer, it may be it something that could be added in the future. I could not find a house hand book explaining rubbish recycling days and expectations of local council but i may have over looked it. we were warned about the bath not a problem as shower was good. Garden steps where difficult for my elderly mother. a handrail would have made this easier and safer. the garden was great for the dogs and they loved it. my wife appeared to have moved in to the hot tub for the duration of the holiday so I can honestly say it was brilliant. The estate is really nice and people are very friendly. loads of places to walk dogs they appear welcome everywhere. The area by lifeboat station has beautiful views. easy access to shops, takeaways and if no car a train station. would recommend
Danielle
Lovely clean home. Lovely area.
Very happy with the property.

Lovely place to stay very clean, comfortable and the hot tub was really nice. The pubs are cheap especially the portobello Inn at 2.50 a pint!!!! Highly recommended for a quiet weekend away.
Steven
Nice house, nice location but downstairs shower room is a big letdown
Magdalena
Great location and a good property to stay with family to enjoy South Wales. Property itself has everything as described, but the knives as mentioned before definitely need upgrading. We ended up buying one at Morrisons nearby. Definitely having bigger fridge would be beneficial so you can properly stock up and avoid unnecessary trip to the supermarket. Very good communication with the owners. Hopefully will be back again!

Lovely stay walks beaches shops all within walking distance bonus the hot tub
Lovely property, which has clearly been lovingly decorated by someone with very good taste! There was everything in the house that we needed during our stay, even a cafetierecouldn't find a potato peeler though. The beds were very comfy and having the Fire connected to the TV, was great. The hot tub was a real bonus and we used it every day. The wet room and access to the side door was a bonus for cleaning our dog's paws before coming into the house after our walks and we also used the stair gate to stop the dog going upstairs, which was super helpful! Great location for the local amenities and the beach is dog friendly, which was why we chose Burry Port to stay. The house was a perfect size for a family of four and a dog!

Had a lovely stay here. Would definitely stay again. Did find random hair around the place, but was no big issue. Bath looked a little unclean so didnt bother using. Hoover needs replacing as the suction doesnt work well at all, Knives arent sharp and need replacing also, very difficult to cut with, I would perhaps bring my own next time with keeping this in mind. Pans to cook with arent non stick, they do thankfully clean up easy though. However it was a lovely little break. close to shops and beach. About 20 minutes drive if you want Asda etc or premier shop literally 3 minutes walk just at the bottom of the road, dog friendly area including pubs. Local takeaways are great too if you fancy a one off from cooking. Park just across the road. Honestly besides the few little things that need looking at dont let that put you off it is a lovely place and I would definitely book again. Thank you for a lovely stay.
We absolutely loved this place, very clean, close to all local amenities and the dogs adored the beach. We stayed for a week and didn't want to leave. I would like to point out to future visitors that there is only a fridge with a freezer compartment, so don't bring lots of frozen food with you. The owners were fantastic, any questions answered quickly and comprehensively. We will definitely be coming back soon.
Had a lovely stay at this home from home residence. House was extremely clean and had everything we needed. Great location for driving to surrounding areas. Beach well within walking distance
Lovely owners, very helpful and lovely stay in the property

Everything at Cwtch Ar Y Mor was fantastic. Landlord was very friendly and even provided us a Christmas tree, lightings and decorations as we stayed over the Christmas period. It would be nice if the electric shower had a bit more power in it . We did not complain as it was not an issue, it was just a suggestion to improve.
Lovely location minutes from the beach accommodation was excellent nice and warm ... Lovely location minutes from the beach accommodation was excellent nice and warm and very clean good to have side doors so we didnt have to take the dogs straight though the main accommodation

We had a lovely stay at this holiday home. The hose was clean but basic. We were meant to have 6 of us staying and ended up with just four of us. However there is only enough cups plates cutlery for just 6 people. I tend to cook meals and this meant there were no additional plates or bowls for cooking or putting on the table. There was no potato peeler or potato masher and the knives all need sharpening. There was only the minimum amount of all kitchen utensils. Towels were provided but none were full size bath towels , the biggest size was hand towel size, luckily we brought our own bath sheets. This house was perfect in terms of location, I have mobility problems and it was ideal for me and the minor gripes would not stop us coming again, In fact we will be booking for next year, we just would bring some extras with us.
Lovely property with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was well equipped, the bedrooms comfortable and having 2 bathrooms is a bonus. Property was v clean and location is perfect for exploring the Millenium coastal path.
It was such a good space for me, my mum and 3 doggies! Nice peaceful road and area. The two double bedrooms were a good size and it was nice to have the option of bath vs shower. It was well decorated and comfortable throughout. The hot tub was amazing and I loved the lid doubled as a privacy screen. The garden was a good size for the dogs to potter around too. Feedback need better cutlery and utensils. Plus I dont know how 34 people would feel in this house. The sofa isnt very big so Im not sure how that would work. The beach and harbour is stunning. But big favourite is Pembrey Country Park 10min drive time! Thank you for the holiday memories!
Sharon
The house was so spotless and they had left milk bread and other bits for us too. Perfectly situated for the beach and other days out.
Louise
Absolutely brilliant week away. Would highly recommend and stay again.
Cwtch Ar Y Mor was spotlessly clean which was very important to us. The property was well furnished and fully met our needs. The location was superb facing the park with the bowling green directly opposite. The nearest shop was 2 minutes away and visible from the front door. The shops in the centre of Burry Port were only 5 minutes walk. There were many takeaways which made life easy as we didn't want to eat out due to Covid. The harbour and beach were great and within walking distance, although there was plenty of parking if required. Plenty of places to visit Pembrey Country park, Parc y Scarlets, Mumbles and the Gower. My first stay in Burry Port for over 50 years and it exceeded expectations.
Rachel
What a amazing house ! The decor is beautiful Location to beach about 510 mins walk Hot tub amazing
Great house in a lovely location. Good facilities and excellent communication from the owner. Very good welcome pack from the owner, tea, coffee, milk, butter, cakes, wine and flowers! Good access to beaches and local shops. A very enjoyable week but could have done with better weather. Highly recommended.

We had a very enjoyable holiday, the cottage was situated right in the centre of Burryport. Would highly recommend this property will definitely return. The owners were so kind left us flowers, milk, coffee, tea, butter, bread, treats along with a lovely welcoming card ,what a kind jester to start our holiday. Lovely walks for our dog plus the added benefit of a hot tub.
The cottage was perfect and exactly what we were looking for holiday, we really enjoyed the hot tub. The facilities were really good and the owners couldn't have been more helpful. The location was a good base for seeing the area. We would highly recommend Cwtch Ar Y Mor and will definitely go back.
Nicola
Lovely location 5 minutes from every thing to beech and take aways and shops. Would go back to same property. The country parks are lovely, all easy to get too.
Michelle
Fantastic house and owners. So helpful. Went out of their way to help with a WiFi issue. Brought a BBQ for us as the weather was good and were on hand if needed. The house was spotless with everything we needed. The hot tub was amazing! We will definitely think of returning.
