Stable Cottage Reviews

Stable cottage was just what we wanted a peaceful little retreat to relax and unwind. Log burner and hot tub was a super addition. Paul the owner was on hand if needed. Paul even lit the log burner so it was warm inside the cottage for our arrival. Gave some handy tips with directions which helped us to find the location. Stunning views from the dining table when eating breakfast. Will definitely visit again
We loved our stay at Stable Cottage. Such a lovely conversion, comfortable and homely throughout. We arrived in snow, unusual for the area. This made access to the farm where the cottage is very challenging to say the least. However, the care and concern shown by Paul was excellent. He checked in on us when we'd arrived to make sure we had supplies, even providing us with milk as we had none. The hot tub was excellent and preheated on our request. The fire was set, ready for us to light. The owners had kindly changed the welcome bottle of fizz to a non alcoholic one on our request. An enduring memory will be enjoying the hot tub while it snowed on us! And also curling up by the fire with a good book. Great retreat and we'd definitely book again.
This is our 2nd Visit to this lovely, peaceful, cosy, warm cottage. The only things around you are sheep wildlife and countryside. The owners Paul and Janet are on hand if needed. Prosecco and chocolates on arrival. The added bonus are a hot tub and a log burner that can be lit before your arrival if needed. We will be back for a 3rd time xx
We stayed with our 2 children and our dog. It was so peaceful and relaxing just what we wanted. The hosts respected our time on our own but were always on hand if we had an issue, which was only the t.v wifi. The hot tub was our best part of the holiday and we would make a return visit.

Great location and beautiful cottage which we would highly recommend to anyone looking to get away to West South Wales. Quiet property finished to a high standard. Clean, tidy and the hot tub is ideal for an evening soak!

A really lovely cottage , very spacious , comfy , good quality fittings and clean . Two very good size bedrooms , double bed used and we found very comfortable . Good quality bedroom furniture in both rooms.Nice quiet surroundings , peaceful nights sleep. Excellent shower and lovely bathroom. The use of a hot tub if required. A store room with machine , bins , drying for wet gear. Best of all a paddock to use for our dogs to run free. Beautiful surroundings and lots to do near by .Friendly hosts that are on hand if you require assistance . A welcome of fizz and chocolates on arrival . A log burner that would be lit for your arrival not needed with Indian summer temps. A nice gem of a cottage .
We had a lovely stay, the weather was really sunny so the shaded courtyard was good for the dogs and the hot tub an added bonus for us. It was quiet so easy to relax, unwind and walk up the lane to admire the views. The location is perfect for exploring the area, inland and sea side. The hosts were on hand if needed, which we didnt. Would stay again if in the area.
Natasha
We had a lovely time staying at this cottage in some of the most beautiful surroundings. The cottage had everything you could want as a home from home, with the added luxury of having a hot tub to ease the limbs and watch the stars. I would definitely recommend this cottage as our hosts frequently checked in on us to make sure everything was ok. A real gem!
We had a lovely stay at Stable Cottage. Very peaceful home from home with everything provided to make our stay enjoyable. The hot tub was a bonus!
Had a great week with the family at Stable Cottage. Lots to do in the surrounding area, my kids loved the day out at Folly Farm and I only made them visit one castle this holiday. Was always great to come back after a long day out and chill in the hot tub followed by sitting in front of the log burner. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and I forgot just how fabulous the night sky is without all the light pollution I am accustomed to.
From walking in and finding a nice bottle of bubbly and chocolates, to dropping off field mushrooms, we were looked after throughout our stay here. The cottage is well equipped and very comfortable, the hot tub was so nice to relax in at the end of the day. The location of the cottage is perfect for exploring the beautiful area. We would certainly recommend staying here, and yes we hope to return soon. Oh and I must say its very very peaceful, just what we wanted.
The photos on the site of the cottage dont really capture the true beauty of it, its wonderfully placed in a rural setting peaceful, sit back relax either in the hot tub or the garden furniture close your eyes listen to the birds singing was delightful. The welcome gifts are lovely not saying what they are book the cottage and find out, you wont be disappointed
It was the second time for us to stay at Stable Cottage, its perfect, the property is clean and well equipped, the hot tub is stunning, very peaceful location. Will definitely be back for a third time.
Richard
Great cottage for staying. Hot tub superb, and fire was needed. Very peaceful and convenient for any coastline

Had a great week staying here. The property was lovely and quiet and we enjoyed our stay. Owners were friendly and were available to help with any problems we had.
A beautifully quiet and peaceful cottage set down a long farm lane, so well away from any traffic. Hot tub is well maintained and a great added bonus. Although we had freezing weather the cottage was easy to keep warm and very cosy. Loved the walk in shower and always copious amounts of hot water. We will definitely be back.

Had a fantastic weeks stay here loved the hot tub & log burner Paul was on ... Had a fantastic weeks stay here loved the hot tub & log burner Paul was on hand when we needed him Also the price of buying logs from Paul was a lot cheaper than anywhere else so this was good Dog friendly Would stay again
I stayed here with my partner and another couple over New years and we had such a lovely time. The facilities were great, nice big kitchen for dinner and dancing with a cosy lounge area with a log fire. Not to mention the hot tub which was fabulous! The place was clean and warm and very spacious for the 4 of us. The owners were so lovely, they lit the fire for our arrival and were in touch the whole time when we had an issue with our shower. Would 100 recommend this little place and hopefully be back again!
What an absolute gem in the most tranquil setting! The photos definitely do not do the cottage justice, especially the bedroom photos! The whole cottage far exceeded expectations, the bedrooms are large and the bedsbedding super comfortable! We slept extremely well ! The log fire is fantastic, and the owners were more than happy to supply wood for our stay 6 nights the shower room is luxurious and the shower piping hot and powerful. The hot tub is an amazing large additional bonus. The kitchen facilities have everything you need, and we were overwhelmed with a gift of prosecco and chocolates on the dining room table on arrival. The hosts are the best we have ever stayed with, leave you in complete peace but are MORE than on hand for absolutely any questions you may have. Even to the point of, we had car troubles and they offered to take my husband to the shop whilst we were a bit stuck. I class this as going beyond expectations for them going our of their way to help us. There is a large paddock which you can walk you dog in, fully enclosed and safe and the host is more than happy for you to do so. Shop and petrol station 1.3 miles from the cottage, caters for all requirements including a roast dinner! We stay In a lot of places and this is the only place we would rate 1010 and we would recommend anyone to book here, we couldn't ask for more!! And did not want to leave! Thank you so much for all your hospitality Paul. And we will see you soon in the summer. Jem and Ben

Well where do we start! ! Arrived to stable cottage on a dark rainy evening after a 3 hour drive after our wedding to be greeted by a roaring fire and lovely card and gifts on the table! The cottage is EXACTLY how it is pictured in the photos and is absolutely beautiful. The location is fantastic, lovely and rural with gorgeous scenery all round. Anything you might need is there. The hot tub is fantastic, I couldn't get my 5 year old out of it!! I looked for weeks to try and find what we wanted for our honeymoon and when I dropped on stable cottage it ticked every box and I booked there and then. We had a fantastic time and didn't want to leave!!! Absolutely top notch 100 you will not regret visiting here it's perfect! Thank you so much
Andrew
Just returned home from a lovely 5 night stay at Stable Cottage. This truly is a gem on the CarmarthenPembrokeshire border and within half an hours drive to Tenby, Cardigan and surrounded by beautiful unspoilt countryside. The cottage itself was clean and tidy and has everything you need for a comfy stayThe log burner was even lit for us on arrival and although we werent blessed with the best weather the hot tub and cosy evenings in made it perfect! Paul and Janet were only a phone call away if you need anythingwhich we didnt and not intrusive whatsoever during our stay. We would definitely like to return to Stable Cottage in the future and will be recommending this piece of heaven to our friends.
Had a most enjoyable week in Stable Cottage. Very peaceful and extremely quiet location. Beautiful scenery. Hot tub was spotlessly clean and tested every day. Paul, the owner was very helpful and at the end of the phone if we needed him. Highly recommend and we will definitely return next year.
The property was cosy comfy and warm. The owners were on hand if needed. The cottage is clean and tidy. The hot tub is a bonus. The wildlife was also amazing along with the sheep kept in the paddock. The stars were amazing in the clear skies. Such a private getaway for peace and quiet. We will be booking again.
A lovely, clean, cosy and comfortable holiday let, in a peaceful location. So lovely to open the patio doors in the morning to hear nothing but birdsong. The cottage is spacious and well equipped. Paul is the perfect host, there if you need him, but totally unintrusive. We wholeheartedly recommend Stable Cottage, and would happily book again.
Louise
When our holiday was approaching we received a text from Paul, with directions to the property and welcoming our stay. Upon our arrival we were extremely happy. The kids shared a wow also. The stay was lovely, everything we required. A home from home experience. Waking up to the sound of birds was blissful, very relaxing. Most site seeing is approximately 40 minutes drive at most. The hot tub and star gazing finished off the day. The hot tub was extremely well maintained. We would highly recommend staying at the cottage, we hope to come back in the near future. Would be lovely at Christmas, gazebo over the hot tub would be amazing!
Had an enjoyable week at Stable Cottage. The facilities had everything we needed. The hot tub was an added bonus at the end of each day apart from when it was raining. Close enough to a shop or small town if we needed it and just far enough away from the peace and quiet I so needed. I had never been to Wales before but I would return again and again. From Tenby to the beach at Freshwater West was stunning. Didn't need to talk to Paul or Janet as we had no issues within the cottage but I know if I needed them they would have been on hand to help. Would highly recommend.
Jessica
Lovely property, perfect for a family holiday. Everything we needed was available and the owners were always at the end of the phone when we needed assistance. A car is essential, but being so rural was definitely a plus for us even allowed us to enjoy a meteor shower on our final night.
Sharon
We picked this cottage for it's isolated location and it didn't disappoint. We needed to be out of our house for repair work and our adult son with Autism is very noisy so this location meant we weren't spoiling anyone else's holiday. It was only 10 mins drive from our home which was ideal. The separate store shed was a huge plus as we could put breakables safely out of the way so reducing the anxiety of being in somebody else's property. The owners are lovely and very helpful. We are so grateful to have found Stable Cottage.
Our hosts were absolutely superb and even when we had a mishap with the TV remote, they didn't complain. They were so accommodating and the actual cottage was very comfortable and well supplied with absolutely everything you could need. We came home sad to be leaving but very relaxed and we actually felt like we had had a holiday.
Belinda
We had such a lovely time at stable cottage, everything we needed was there and ... We had such a lovely time at stable cottage, everything we needed was there and the hot tub and log burner were brilliant, felt very at home which means a lot to us but if we needed anything we knew Paul and Janet were on the end of the phone, thank you both much needed get away for us and West Wales is stunning
Paul and Janet made our stay very welcoming, very clean and cosy cottage with facilities accessible. Lots of helpful information left with guidance to nearby attractions. The views were beautiful and we loved seeing our neighbours lambs. We will definitely be returning as everything was just perfect! Thank you Janet and Paul you have done an incredible job!
Absolute gem of a cottage and really lovely owners. Nothing was too much. We had a wonderful time.
Lovely stay at Stable Cottage. Hot Tub and log burner both excellent. Very comfortable and cosy cottage. Would recommend.
