Taf Cottage Reviews

Exactly what we needed for a 2 night stay. Very comfortable and roomy. Fab hot tub.
A second visit to celebrate my 70th. Beautiful location. Peaceful...till we got there We had such a relaxing time and were lovely and warm . I need a walker to get about and the cottage is fully accessible, though a wheelchair might have a bit of a problem cos of some tight corners....please check. I think I mentioned last time that , being picky, I felt the pillows were a bit thin.....and this time, brand new lovely bouncy pillows. Really comfy beds and sofa. Great warm welcome.Thank you. One of our party said they wanted a bigger frying pan....but we are little piggies with our trotters in the trough much of the time....so you will probably find it all adequate. Definitely recommend Taf Cottage. Thank you for a lovely stay.
We had a great time at Taf cottage despite some stormy weather . Muriel was a great host very friendly and helpful, her family were welcoming also over the Christmas period. We can certainly recommend Taf cottage as a place to stay and explore the surrounding areas.
Beautiful area. ....lovely place. Very comfortable. We had a fab time. If I wanted to be picky I would say the pillows were a bit tired but actually considering that everything was so lovely and how comfy the beds are and the sofas ,I feel I shouldn't have said that. Very accessible for disabled, though possibly bit narrow for wheelchair and outside bit slippy for crutches. My walker was easy to get around the place. We were all of us, very happy indeed. Lovely walks...dip in the hot tub....lots of space, accessible bathrooms. Thank you.

Wonderful. A haven from busy lives. Set in beautiful countryside, Taf Cottage has all you need for a wonderful stay. The hot tub and log burner make it just perfect. The kitchen is fully equipped. We had a fantastic week and this was our second visit to this cottage and our third to Upton Hall Cottages!
When we arrived at the cottage the key was already in the door for us. The children changed into swimming costumes straight away and went into the hot tub. The cottage was clean and well maintained and with a well equipped kitchen. Our bed was lovely and comfortable. The shower was hot and powerful. The owner came twice a day to check the levels in the hot tub but she was very discreet, our dogs didnt even notice her. Will definitely return. Diolch Muriel x

Lovely cottage in great location. Attentive and friendly owner. A few problems with the hot tub but owner happy to come and sort it out.

This has become our second home. Fourth year at Upton Hall and its still the best holiday cottage we have had. There is nothing to fault with the cottage, it was immaculate on arrival and catered for all our needs. Hot tub was such a treat. What can I say about the host Muriel is made for being a host. Nothing is too much trouble, she is knowledgeable about the area, and wants to make sure that you have the best holiday. And that we did. We will be back.
Lesley
Another lovely stay at Taff Cottage. Muriel is a friendly, welcoming host who is onsite. Even though the weather was
Very comfortable and cozy cottage. Brilliant hot tub...
A wonderful place to stay, quiet , relaxing just the place to recharge your batteries. Close enough to beaches and woodland walks for the dogs. Hot tub was a loveky addition after a long drive down, and to stargaze at night. Comfy beds & sofas everything to hand in the kitchen. We loved it the dogs loved it. Muriel was so welcoming its why we keep going back. That was our 3rd stay and we will be back.
A lovely cottage in a beautiful rural place.

We had a lovely time at Taf Cottage! Murial was a great host and was on call whenever we had questions. Lovely quiet cottages so perfect for a relaxing weekend away. Would definitely look to return recommend to friends and family Thanks so much.
Sharon
Superb! I took my mum away for the week, we had a wonderful time relaxing, walking, and the hot tub was a welcome treat. The cottage is situated amongst quiet surroundings, extremely homely and comfortable and has all the essentials you need the log burner was was just perfect, especially when it snowed! The host was extremely welcoming and helpful, such a lovely lady. I would definitely recommend this cottage to those looking for a quiet relaxing break.
My only criticism is that the hot tub could be seen from the side. Providing some screening would make it perfect. Otherwise I would highly recommend taf cottage. Clean, spacious and surrounded by nature. Absolutely beautiful.
Andrew
We had a great stay. The host Muriel was amazing, cottage qas clean, lovely and warm and the jacuzzi was just bliss. Would def recommend staying if you are in that area.
Beautiful cottage, surroundings and nothing too much trouble for Muriel the lovely owner. Thankyou so much!
What a fabulous welcome we had at Taf Cottage. Muriel was available and helpful and came to check we had settled in OK. The cottage was so comfortable and well equipped. There was plenty of room for us and we made good use of the hot tub despite the below freezing temperatures. We will book again.
Selina

Darren
Taf cottage has a great feel to it and lovely rural outlook. Patio, Hot Tub and BBQ where used alot and helped make our stay. The fenced garden worked really well being secure for our dog . Superb location between the mountains and the coast with a good local pub in Brechfa as well as great mountain biking and forest walks. Muriel the owner was very helpful and available if required. We really enjoyed our 10 day stay.
We had a wonderful break the cottage is fabulous. Can't wait to book with you again.
Very clean and tidy places, very good atmosphere
Extremely clean. Our 2nd visit and really impressed with the cottage and surroundings. Mrs. Howell a lovely lady and could not have been more helpful. Highly recommended.
Christopher

Joshua
Fantastic place to stay! Second time staying as a group and we love it. Chilled place with lovely views, not far from a few pubs. Thanks to Muriel for being so welcoming
We had a lovely week at Taf cottage, Muriel was very welcoming & informative about the local area & nothing was too much trouble. The cottage was spotlessly clean with comfortable bedssofas. Only tiny criticism the dining table was a bit tight for 6 people. We all enjoyed the hot tub. Good secure garden for dogs. Lots to do in the area within a short drive, lovely walks. Will certainly return. Thankyou.
Robert
Superb cottage with a lovely feel to it in a beautiful location. The hot tub was a real hit with the whole family and although the location is peaceful and tranquil, it is still easy to get to many places to visit historic sites, towns, more beautiful Welsh countryside and beaches. Definitely hope to return one day.
Lovely stay at Taf cottage with the extended family. Everything was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped under counter fridge with ice box a little small but manageable and the hot tub was excellent. Theres a new walkin shower in the main bathroom replaced the bath in photos which was a nice surprise and not an issue as wed brought a baby bath with us. Muriel was very welcoming, kindly leaving us some wine and an Easter egg on arrival and was very helpful during our stay, with recommendations of places to visit and walks with the dog. We would recommend Brechfa forest walks, although the roads to the Keepers car park are very narrow! Aberglasney gardens are well worth a visit and the National Botanical gardens were also good, providing a week long ticket so you could revisit. The cottage is situated about 8 minutes from the A40, in peaceful countryside, so would recommend bringing key food supplies with you when you arrive. We found a good range of supermarkets in Carmarthen about 20 mins away. Lovely restful break with easy access to some stunning beaches about 30 mins away.
Nicholas
Lovely comfy cottage Beautiful hot tub Very friendly and accommodating host
