Lovely house with beautiful views! Only 30 min drive from Aberystwyth! Lots of outdoor space for dogs. Although owners live next door, the house feels very private. The upstairs area is perfect for large groups and the fireplace is lovely.

The barn is clean & spacious and the bedrooms are all of a decent size. It was equipped well for our stay - with an added stair gate, travel cot and high chair awaiting us on arrival. It was clean and well looked after. The highlight of the barn is the huge full length window and wood burning fire! Thank you for a great stay!

Accommodation in poor repair and not cleaned adequately on arrival. Many maintenance issues meant that this was not good value for money. The owners were not present and elderly relatives next door could only apologise for the poor condition of the property. The area is ideal for a family holiday with child friendly attractions and eateries within an easy drive and the location of the barn provides stunning views amidst peaceful rural surroundings. This property desperately needs some TLC!

We stayed here for a week in November and had a fantastic holiday. As avid twitcher, the views from the barn were just amazing and we logged some great birds to our year list with some excellent migration sightings too. The barn itself was clean, warm and very comfortable with every home comfort you could wish for and the open plan living space wor ked wonderfully well. The pool table kept us entertained in the evenings and the hot tub looking out over the nature reserve was lovely.

Excellent location. Attention to detail could make this a great venue. Nine bulbs not working in the property. Sink plugs not fitted in the bathrooms, leads to wasted water and risk of objects falling into waste trap. Shower tray blockage - showering had to be interrupted to allow water to drain. Poor fitting main doors, rain blowing in. Inventory not accurate. No information re: use of appliances. Many of these issues could be addressed at routine changeover

Spent last week here with my hubby, 2 daughters and their partners, and 4 children. What a lovely place. Gorgeous setting and a great base for visiting the local areas. Well equipped, great hot tub & pool table, both well used. Really good quality comfortable beds with the bedrooms beautifully decorated. For a large open plan barn it was incredibly warm. Spoke to the owner pre visit, she was extremely helpful and approachable. So glad we chose this barn for our lovely family break.

The Talbot in the village did excellent meals. Visited Abaeron, Aberyswith. Newquay and the Honey Farm. Went on the train from Aberystwyth to Devils Fall. Also lovely walks f rom Tregaron, Cors Carron. Not enough time with a week. Wonderful coast.

Merlin Hill Centre is a working dairy farm located deep in the Carmarthenshire countryside. Although not a petting farm the farm is still very family friendly with plenty of fun activities to keep children happy. The farm has a good sized play area and plenty of picnic tables as well as a Farmyard Heritage Centre where visitors can learn all about Welsh farm life and about the mystical Legend of Merlin. Get there early if you want to watch the cows being milked!
